Here is a 1960 Ford Ranchero with a 6 cylinder Ford engine and automatic transmission. The vehicle originally had a standard transmission and was in the middle of being refitted with the automatic, so the column shifty and clutch pedal are still installed. The previous owner assured me the motor and transmission were good, but I have not started it to see for myself. I bought this two years ago with the intention of either using it as parts car for my other Ranchero, also listed, or eventually restoring it, but so far I haven't been able to get there from here.... Even though it's a California vehicle and there isn't much in the way of rust, the floors are a different story, and they will need to be replaced as the previous owners put in really crappy patch panels throughout. Actually, the vehicle was donated to a local high school auto shop near San Diego and the floors were completely cut out and replaced with galvanized steel, but they will need to be completely cut out if you intend this for anything other than a parts vehicle. Full floors are readily available on ebay and various aftermarket suppliers, so there is no problem there. The vehicle is mostly complete with all the big stuff and has very good sheet metal front to rear. It is an original Southern California vehicle, so rust isn't much of an issue with this Ranchero. To a New Englander or Mid-Westerner, this is a completely rust-free vehicle. To a Southwesterner, this may have a little rust.... There is a little rust bubbling through over the driver's side window on the roof as shown in the photo. The only other significant body damage is at the very right rear of the vehicle below the tail light. The rear quarter was pushed in just a tad bit, but it's a bit hard to see in the photo. The front windshield and rear window are missing, and the dash wiring was removed while at the high school auto shop. The hood hinges are missing as well. I have a big container of parts, pictured, which will go with this sale. The driveline is complete including drive shaft, but I don't have a shifter for the newly installed automatic transmission. This Ranchero has the original 13 inch wheels, but no spare. I also have another 1960 Ranchero listed separately, complete and running. Depending on how the auctions go, I am willing to do a 2 for 1 deal if you wish and I am primarily looking to clear these vehicles out to make more room. I am also willing to store this/these vehicles for a reasonable amount of time, so there is no immediate hurry to get them shipped out if you need time to work out shipping or pickup details. Shipping and/or pickup is entirely at the buyer's discretion, and I am available to help as needed. Car rolls easily and won't be a problem for trailering as it is light and easily moved. I towed it 100 miles from San Diego using a car dolly, and all went well. In-person inspections are welcomed and recommended if possible. Questions?? Please ask!
