1958 Ranchero 390 V8 Auto Runs 7 Drives "rancher" Emblems on 2040-cars
Santa Clarita, California, United States
If I have not covered anything that is important to you let me know! I cant remember every detail or issue. I have several old cars that I play around with. I'll do anything I can to help you feel confidant in buying it. Check the vin for details. Door data code plate was painted over I did not remove the paint off it. Its hard to make out the details of it. Pretty sure it was originally white but total complete blue repaint. Door jams, dash etc. You can see even under the SS bed rail trims it was painted blue. I determined it because white was the last color before reaching the factory dark brown primer. I have uploaded as many pictures as I can. Choosing the ones that should matter the most. I have more available that I can send you via email/Txt. Or I'll take what you want me to. Simply put txt me and say you want more pic and of what and I will send them. This is a very cool Ranchero. The emblems that go on the rear area say RANCHER I don’t know why. Clean clear title in my name Tags good until 1/15 I was driving it 2/3 times a week around town mostly to lunch, or trying to be cool with a vehicle that not everyone has, until reverse became almost nonexistent/working. It works but you have to rev it high to get it to engage and go backwards. Has a 390 from what I don't know. I bought it that way. I'm pretty sure I have all the moldings and trim pieces. I have pictures that I can txt or email you to show how complete it was and the condition when I bought it. Basically to show that its all there. I obviously took some trim pieces off to strip the paint. I have the gas tank access door. Brand new 4core high flow brass radiator $400 Yup it has "some" rust, not a lot, but you know exactly how much, look at the pictures I can’t hide anything. I’ve removed most of the paint to prove it. The spare tire holder has 2 layers of sheet metal only the top layer is heavily rusted where the water would have drain down into the bottom layer which is where the 1inch hole is for the water to drain out. Rear bumper is slightly bent and has some rusty spots. It does bolt up to the brackets. Drivers upper door frame needs to be welded pic of problem. Windshield and pass door glass cracked broken Its 56 years old so not perfect but for the most part very solid. Not very many of these left in this condition. It took me a while to find this one. Who cares why I want to sell it, but if you really want to know, this is why. My son and I have moved on to 66 T-birds you can see in some of the pictures. Otherwise it would not be for sale. I don't care why you want to buy it. I only care that it sells. It can be picked up within 45 days after completing the sale, maybe longer if we talk about it. It is kept inside a temperature controlled garage. I also can take it to a shipper or transport if needed anywhere close to the Los Angeles area at no charge. There is a 75% chance that I’m driving to upstate NY to see my son play semi pro baseball and for a fee I can drop it off to you on my way. Probably leaving 2/3rd week in July. We can talk about it. Any question or concerns call me tom 661 286 1171. |

Ford Mustang SVT caught looking fierce on the 'Ring
Tue, 15 Jul 2014The next-generation Ford Mustang SVT is one of the most anticipated performance cars of the moment. We've already seen it testing multiple times, but it has always been covered is some very heavy camouflage. However, Ford has just given us our best view yet of the new muscle car. According to our spy photographer, the Mustang was at the Nürburgring for high-speed testing, which meant that the Blue Oval had to remove most of the heavy obfuscation that the SVT has worn previously.
The stylish, more revealing camo makes picking out some of the more interesting details about the SVT rather easy. Starting from the front, there is the big hood scoop to feed cold air to its still mysterious engine. You can also immediately make out the model's new grille and lower front air dam. It has a vertical piece running from the bottom of the hood all the way to the ground. The aggressive styling almost gives the 'Stang the look of two fangs ready to bite down. The hood seam is even taped off here, which shows us its outline.
Around the side, it appears that the front and rear fenders are wider than stock, and the sills are certainly much larger. You can also just make out the SVT's bigger brakes behind its black wheels with a polished lip. Finally, at the rear, things appear mostly stock other than the diffuser that the exhaust outlets nestle into.
2015 Ford Mustang prototype spotted on the street
Mon, 10 Jun 2013Our trusty spy photographers have snapped the first photos of the 2015 Ford Mustang prototype out on public streets. With nearly every square inch of the machine covered in heavy camouflage, it's difficult to discern details, but we can see smallish horizontal headlamps at work in the coupe's nose. Ford has made it clear that modern lighting technology will allow the company to get away from large, expensive headlamp arrays in the near future, and the 2015 Mustang may very well be the first of the automaker's products to bow with the new tech. The philosophy was first displayed on the very attractive Evos Concept.
The extensive cladding doesn't extend all the way to the prototype's rockers in the instance, giving us a look at the heavily-sculpted sills. Overall, this test car looks considerably smaller than the current generation Mustang, and elements like a short front overhang and beefy dual-piston calipers give us plenty of hope for the future model. Of course, reports that the 2015 Mustang will bow with an independent rear suspension and EcoBoost power certainly don't hurt our feelings, either.
Consumer Reports: Ford Fusion fun but flawed; Mitsubishi i-MiEV slow, chintzy [w/videos]
Wed, 23 Jan 2013Waiting for a Ford compliment from Consumer Reports these days is like waiting for a low-cost new product from Apple. So we weren't really expecting a glowing review of the 2013 Ford Fusion when CR got its hands on the car. The institute's crew bought three different versions of the Fusion (Hybrid, 1.6-liter EcoBoost and a Titanium with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost) to put through its barrage of tests, and while we aren't too surprised by some of the findings, they're still interesting nonetheless.
CR praises the Fusion for its "eye-catching" design and says that the sportier Titanium trim level is the best-handling midsize sedan they've ever tested, but that's about where the good news ends for Ford. The Fusion Hybrid also posted the best-ever fuel economy CR has recorded in a midsize sedan, but the only problem is that their number was 39 miles per gallon combined - far less than Ford's 47 mpg rating for city, highway and combined. As expected, CR also dinged the Fusion for its MyFord Touch, but some of the other gripes about the car include a cramped cabin and poor fit and finish.
Other Ford products tested this time around include the Focus Electric and C-Max Hybrid. Like the Fusion, CR's observed fuel economy of 37 mpg for the C-Max fell well short of Ford's advertised 47-mpg rating, and both cars were criticized for the use of MyFord Touch. CR notes that the Focus Electric's interior is also cramped, with the battery pack taking up a lot of cargo space.
