1995 Ford Mustang Base Coupe 2-door 3.8l on 2040-cars
Oldsmar, Florida, United States
1995 Ford mustang Power brakes--work great--new pads front and rear about 20,000 miles ago. Power steering Radio with cd Ice cold a/c Great tires--4 months driving on front tires---rear are 1/2 tread or better. Fan for engine is hard wired to a switch Small exhaust link due to improper gasket installed on exhaust system---car has been driven like that for 8 years (4 trips to Atlanta Georgia and back)----no problem! I bought this car new and it has been passed around the family---the family has gone their separate ways now and at 70 I don't need this car! (I just drive my 57 pickup)---it just has been sitting. The milage is unknown because the speedo broke at 101,000 due to someone resetting the trip meter while driving. I had to put in the mileage in order to list---again---true mileage unknown. Engine does not smoke---no additives in oil to trick ya---I do not need to lie about this car--- I have been turning wrenches for most my life and have seen horrible tricks done to cars in order to sell them---I am not a used car dealer!!!!!!! Interior is real nice! New clutch and throw out bearing just before last Atlanta Georgia trip. Driver side air bag only. |

2015 Ford Mustang GT Line-Lock Burnout
Mon, 03 Nov 2014In this brief Short Cut, Autoblog's Steven Ewing demonstrates Line-Lock on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. Accessed through an on-screen performance menu, the feature temporarily locks the front brakes to help you heat up the rear tires for better traction, as you would for drag racing. The result? A 15-second smokescreen.
Ford to build next F-150, outgoing model concurrently?
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Ford is rumored to be considering concurrent production for old and new F-150 models in a bid to minimize supply chain disruptions and inventory. Automotive News is reporting that the Blue Oval will build both the current F-150 and its replacement, which we showed you testing just last month, side by side for about half a year before switching over entirely to next-generation production.
As IHS Automotive analyst Mike Jackson told AN, "In order to ramp up, you have to retool...and that means you have to take capacity offline." Building both models alongside could allow Ford to cope with the still strong demand for the current F-150, while populating dealer supplies and working out supply chain kinks for the new model before making a full-time switch.
A loss of capacity when demand is so strong, even for a short period, could spell bad news for Ford, which nets an estimated 90 percent of its global profit on pickups and large SUVs. As AN states, Ford produces the F-150 in both Kansas City, Missouri and Dearborn, Michigan, which allows it to maintain some degree of flexibility in production. The new F-150 is expected to arrive at the 2014 North American International Auto Show as a 2015 model, with a design inspired by the Atlas Concept first shown at the Detroit Auto Show last January.
Ford exec reveals new F-150 Raptor packs 450 horsepower
Mon, Jan 26 2015Between the new GT supercar, Shelby GT350R muscle car and F-150 Raptor off-roader, Ford had quite the array of performance machinery on display at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month. One thing it didn't reveal about any of the three, however, is how much power they'd pack, but a senior executive at the Blue Oval automaker has reportedly let the cat out of the bag when it comes to the Raptor. During a televised interview during the Rolex 24 at Daytona this past weekend, Ford's product development chief Raj Nair is said to have revealed that the new F-150 Raptor will offer 450 horsepower. That's pretty impressive from a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6, and would put the new Raptor out ahead of the 411 hp produced by the 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 in the previous SVT Raptor. That doesn't give us the whole picture, though, because in a vehicle this big especially, torque will play a huge factor. The outgoing Raptor offered 424 pound-feet of twist, and the existing 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine is already producing 420 lb-ft – so it seems fairly safe to assume the new Raptor will eclipse those figures as well, but we'll have to wait for official word to find out for sure.
