NO RESERVE NO RESERVE NO RESERVE NO RESERVE!!! HIGHEST BIDDER = NEW OWNER!! AUCTION ENDS TUESDAY NIGHT, NOVEMBER 19, 9:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. Contact Clint at 610-763-8277 for more info! For your consideration is a beautiful 1949 Ford F1 Pick Up Truck. It is powered by the famous Flathead V8, and a 3 speed on the floor manual transmission, which is believed to be correct for the truck. Don’t be in a hurry when you’re driving this Ford! The attention is attracts is incredible. At any angle, the F1 just looks ‘right’. Quintessential in every aspect! A Throwback to a much simpler time, that all of us would like to go back to! The odometer shows 52,130 miles. I cannot verify if the mileage is original, or has turned over. Mileage is exempt on the title which is common for the age. But from the condition underneath this truck, I would not be surprised if it was. It has been converted to a 12 volt system and runs on a generator to keep the original look. Headers and dual exhaust were added a few years ago. The truck fires right up with the push button start on the dash. New temperature and pressure gauges were added under the dash as well, which includes two temp gauges, one for each Head. (Flathead guys will appreciate). All gauges are operational and appear to be accurate. A new Radio was installed with a CD player and Ipod AUX imput jack. This Florida Ford is a fantastic
driver. Handles very well for what it is. Rides straight down the road, and
fairly easy to drive. Is free of vibrations or rattles. The transmission shifts
as it should. Does not grind or get hung up thru the gears. Tires are like new.
Mechanically everything works well with no known issues. The paint was done
about 10 years ago and still retains a gorgeous shine. The green and black two
tone has a great look to it. I have noted in 3 pictures to the imperfections in
the paint. It is a very solid truck other than those few spots. A magnet will
stick anywhere on the body! Even the cab corners! At some time over 65 years, the steel fenders and running boards
were replaced with fiberglass. The grill and bumpers have been painted a cast
color as well. The undercarriage appears well preserved. Very clean and straight
with no issues of rust, holes, or shoddy patch jobs. There is a small tear in the bench seat a about 2 inches long that is visible in the interior picture. The bed was completed in a diamond plate finish which compliments the truck nicely. Rather than a wood bed for "show" only, the previous owner opted for this finish so it were functional. He could use it if he and his wife were out shopping, or taking it on a weekend trip. He did not have to worry about scratching up newly finished wood. It’s not a frame off rotisserie restored show truck. It is however a turn key, drive immediately, car show trophy winning, attention grabbing, business promoting cruiser that will turn heads and strike up conversations anywhere you go! Whether you need a write off for your business, or need and ice cream runner, this Ford can do it all. This is a tremendous opportunity to obtain a vintage truck less than the cost to build! I am only selling because I am buying a new home. Please email or call me with any other questions. I have additional photos that can be emailed as well. I encourage & welcome pre purchase inspections. I will work with your inspector, appraiser, mechanic, etc to make you feel comfortable with your purchase. Vehicle is sold AS-IS, NO Warranties Expressed or Implied. I have clean clear title in hand. If you have less than 5 feedback, please email prior to bidding. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Don't assume anything. This is a legal binding contract. If you are the winning bidder, you are obligated to complete the purchase. You are not bidding on the opportunity to come and look at the vehicle and decide if you want to purchase the item! Also, please have all financing or funds in place prior to bidding. In other words, ask your wife first!! $1,000.00 Deposit due within 24 hours of auction close. Balance due within 7 days of auction close. Vehicle and title will be released when funds have cleared my banking institution. I urge everyone to take a look at my feedback. Bid with confidence! It was 100% until a few weeks ago, when a malicious ebayer left me negative feedback over a $45.00 die cast model car! Apparently, a windshield wiper was damaged in shipping overseas. I attempted to rectify the situation, but the buyer would not respond or contact me at all, and left me negative feedback! Located in Daytona Beach, Florida, 32118. Minutes from major route 95 on the northeast coast of Florida. 10 minutes from (DAB)-Daytona Beach International Airport. 70 miles to (MCO)-Orlando or (SFB)-Sanford International Airports. Fly in and Drive it Home! I will assist with selling worldwide, but payment and arrangements are buyer’s responsibility. I have used several shipping companies in the past, and can recommend shippers to contact, or can be arranged right through ebay and their recommended carriers. Contact Clint at 610-763-8277 for more info. I do not send second chance offers! THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!! BID TO OWN!! |

European car sales up 8% in February
Sat, 22 Mar 2014Three weeks ago an analyst increased projections for European car sales this year, expecting them to climb three percent compared to last year instead of 2.7 percent. That number is a postive sign after years of hard times but it turns out February was especially good, overall European sales climbing eight percent on a wave of southern European recovery and discounts - and this comes after five months of gains including January's 7.2-percent jump over the year before.
The only country of Europe's five largest markets to post a decline was France, just as it did in January, Germany, the UK and Italy posting solid double-digit numbers, Spain rocking the charts with an 18-percent increase because of a government program to encourage trade-ins.
The only brand to miss the wave was Volkswagen, dropping 0.8 percent as it watched the double-digit growth at sister brands Audi, Seat and Skoda lift the Volkswagen Group sales up by seven-percent. Peugeot overcame flat sales at Citroën to improve the group by 3.5 percent, BMW and the Mercedes-Benz/Smart combo rose by four percent, the Fiat group jumped 5.8 percent, Ford was up 11 percent, the Renault Group 11.5 percent, General Motors 12 percent and the Toyota clan by 14 percent.
Ford posts decade-best $2.1B profit in Q1 2013
Wed, 24 Apr 2013As predicted, Ford has reported that its first quarter of 2013 was a resounding success overall, with a pretax profit of $2.1 billion ($0.41 per share), and a net income of $1.6 billion ($0.40 per share). In fact, Ford made a pretax profit of some $2.4 billion in its home North American market, with that total number being pulled down by losses in South America and Europe. That gaudy North American profit is the strongest result by the automaker since 2000.
Ford's companywide profit for Q1 was down $147 million from one year ago, while the net income number marked an increase of $215 million year over year. Overall, this is Ford's 15th-consecutive profitable quarter.
The bad news from the European market was even worst in Q1 2013 than it was last year. Pretax losses of $462 million - on revenue of $6.7 billion - represented a year-over-year change of -$313 million. In South American, the company reported a loss of $218 million, down from a slim profit of $54 million in Q1 2012. The news was better for Ford Asia Pacific Africa, where a $6 million pretax profit in 2013 showed a year-over-year gain of some $101 million when compared to losses in 2012. Why Edmunds took a sledgehammer to its 2015 Ford F-150
Tue, Jan 27 2015The discussion around repair bills for the aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 pickup continued from the beginning of last year to the end, and haven't abated; as an aside, some Tesla Model S owners have been shocked at disquieting repair estimates for minor damage to their aluminum wunder-sedans. Edmunds decided to inject some fact into the fray: it bought a $52,000 long-term 2015 F-150 and clouted it with an eight-pound sledgehammer. Twice. The rear of the bedside took the impacts since it couldn't be replaced, it would have to be repaired. To the pickup's credit, the only reason associate editor Travis Langness hit it twice was that the first sledgehammer blow didn't do as much damage as Edmunds wanted. After the second, the visible damage included the two direct impacts, a few creases, and a cracked taillight, so they drove the pickup to Santa Monica Ford to get an estimate, complete with a fictitious story about how the damage occurred and the mercy plea that Langness was paying for the repair out-of-pocket. In Part 2 Langness hits on some of the details with getting the truck fixed, such as the massively expensive taillight and the list of tools Ford recommends dealers have to work on aluminum. But he was promised he'd have his truck back in seven days, and Santa Monica Ford got it back to him in seven days. In Part 3 we get the bill. It's not small, but it's quite a bit less than it could have been if the service manager had charged Edmunds the official labor rate for aluminum. We're not going to spoil it here, so check out the videos above and below for the beginning and the end, and head over to Edmunds for the complete story about how it all happened and some riffing on the repair numbers.
