I have a room full of trophies it has won in local auto shows. It has a $15,000 paint job that turns heads. It starts, runs, and drives great. The Cat motor currently has 230 Hp and 850 ftlbs of torque. I contemplated chipping the motor up to 350 hp (which can be done easily) but I live in the flat part of Virginia, no hills to climb, and I don’t have a need to drag race anyone, so I haven’t needed the extra horsepower. AC is ice cold and heater will keep you toasty on the coldest of days. This is absolutely the badest truck in the county. The truck can be parked in a single parking spot but it takes up the whole spot. I consistently get between 10.5 and 11 miles to the gallon of fuel just driving around town. QUESTIONS: This is an expensive truck so I don’t mind fielding questions that will make bidders more comfortable. Contact me by e-mail at greasley@cox.net or by cell phone: (757) 813-4294, I will get back to you as soon as I can. If local, test-drives are possible by contacting me. PAYMENT: This truck requires a $1000 non-refundable deposit within 3 business days of close of auction to secure the truck. Buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due within 7 business days of the close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed before pick-up or delivery of the vehicle. The truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Certified funds, PayPal, and in-person cash transactions accepted. SHIPPING: I will work with any buyer to assist their
pre-arranged shipping company to get the truck shipped to its agreed upon
destination. I might be convinced to deliver the truck within 500 miles of my
house. The truck would be driven
to your location. However, the entire
purchase transaction must be complete, funds must have cleared, and buyer pays
for the trip. Buyer would need to
pay for a one-way rental car for me to return home. On May-18-14 at 05:04:43 PDT, seller added the following information:

Saleen previews new 302 Mustang
Thu, 03 Jul 2014The introduction of a new generation of a model like the Ford Mustang may be exciting enough in its own right for enthusiasts, but that's just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, because you know that Ford itself as well as numerous aftermarket tuners will soon follow up with even more desirable versions. And few Mustang tuners carry quite the same clout of Saleen.
Recently reunited after its previous split, Saleen is back on the map and hard at work on new aftermarket modifications for a wide array of muscle cars. We knew it would only be a matter of time before it would release a new 302 Mustang, and now it's sent out the first image to show us what to expect.
Details are scarce, but House that Steve Built says the 2015 Saleen 302 Mustang "is perfectly positioned as the next American exotic." And it should know, considering that it's the same outfit that produced the Saleen S7 that really was a true American exotic. From the teaser image above we can see that Saleen has given its Mustang a new front air dam, a very wide air scoop on the hood and of course Saleen's trademark slat grille.
Ford announces first non-pursuit-rated police car ever
Wed, 18 Sep 2013Ford announced its first non-pursuit-rated Police Interceptor ever, based on the Taurus, which employs the smaller 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine in place of similar pursuit-rated Police Interceptors powered by naturally aspirated 3.5-liter and 3.7-liter V6s and the top-spec 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. Officially called the Special Service Police sedan, the car was commissioned at the request of law-enforcement agencies that desire a more fuel-efficient vehicle for detectives, administrators and campus police, who don't necessarily need pursuit-rated vehicles.
The 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine produces 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, but more importantly, it allows the SSP sedan to achieve somewhere in the neighborhood of 22 miles per gallon city and 32 mpg highway, which are the civilian 2.0-liter Taurus' official EPA ratings. Ford estimates that the SSP sedan will get 20 mpg city, 30 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined, with the help of Active Grille Shutters that open to allow more cooling air through to the radiator, or close to optimize aerodynamics and fuel economy. Those numbers compare favorably to the discontinued Crown Victoria-based Interceptor's 14 mpg city and 21 mpg highway and the newer Taurus-based cars equipped with V6s, the most fuel efficient of which gets 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway.
If it was driven 90,000 miles over the course of three years, a 2.0-liter SSP sedan would save law enforcement agencies $5,042.92 versus the Crown Vic, Ford estimates. The EPA is expected to post official fuel-economy numbers for the SSP sedan in December. Until then, read the press release below for more information.
Woman trades 1914 Model T in for 2013 Corvette
Wed, 17 Apr 2013We're sure that dealers must see all sorts of interesting trade ins, but this one may take the cake. Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, Louisiana, recently had a customer come in with an odd request. Tina Boyter wanted to trade in three vehicles on a brand-new 2013 Chevy Corvette. Among the hardware was 1980 Corvette, a 1978 Cadillac Eldorado and a 1914 Ford Model T. While the '80 Corvette had been her personal car for years, the '78 Eldorado had belonged to Boyter's mother before she traded up to a Lincoln. The big Caddy had just 10,290 miles on the clock when it was traded in.
And the Model T? Boyter says the car was built as a racer by Ford, and that it had been a show winner for years when it belonged to her father. But, after spending the last 16 years in a museum with its fluids drained, Boyter decided it was time to shed some of the past. She walked into the dealer, laid eyes on a white 2LT Corvette with a red interior and offered to trade all three of the vehicles in on the sports car.
Why not wait for the C7? "I fell in love with that one when I walked in the door," She said. We can't fault her there.
