7.3 Powerstroke V8 Diesel
I bought this truck out of texas it has been in texas its whole life up until this spring so it is COMPLETELY rust free. These trucks are SUPER hard to find with under 100k miles and especially totally rust free also. This will have your neighbors drooling, it gets alot of looks if you don't like attention then this is not the truck for you. I had intentions of starting a hot shot business but have gotten a opportunity to buy our family farm out on the east coast so i am changing gears and no longer need this truck. I have put a ton of work and money into the truck and have all the receipts. I went through the truck from bumper to bumper and fixed and upgraded everything that need to be fixed and upgraded all the items on the truck that needed it. I am very familiar with these superduty trucks with the 7.3 which is one of fords best diesel engines and this particular year has the good forged connection rods in it. The zf6 transmission is the best trans to have in these trucks especially if you are doing alot of towing, the automatics just dont hold up unless you have them custom built and dump about 5000-6000.00 in them. Truck has a Dana 135 rear end in it which has a 13,500 lb rating. Truck turns around 2100 rpm at 65mph. Interior of the truck is beautiful condition. I put a lower dash from riffraff diesel in that has a 4 built in switches for what ever you want to hook to them, new autometer factory match pyrometer and turbo boost gauges so you can monitor how the truck is running and they are a nessecity if you are going to add a chip in the future. LED floor lighting has been put in both the front and the back and looks awesome at night! This truck is turn key ready to go, nothing to fix no fluids to change and all weak points in factory designs addressed plus some added performance and fuel mileage. If you have any questions about the truck feel free to call me at 317-650-5222 Thanks Justin .
- Here is a list of all the new parts and upgrades done to truck in the last few months.
- Had Wagner performance diesel install new turbo pedestal and garrett high flow exhaust outlet that eliminates the butterfly valve on exhaust outlet of turbo eliminating a exhaust restriction point on these 7.3's and also a oil leak point. Installed new billet BD turbo compressor wheel in turbo and new International Bellowed up pipes from manifolds to turbo that replaces faulty ford design that uses doughnut gaskets that leak and are a problem on the 7.3's you will never need to deal with this problem with the new style pipes
- New AFE intake manifold flows better and has ports built in for boost gauge and anything else you would want to add.
- Reinforcing plenum inserts so you can tighten down the boots on plenum without crushing them
- All new silicone boots on the charge air/intercooler system
- New Ford AIS severe duty air intake that uses a donaldson filter.
- Diesel site coolant filtration system since these blocks were cast in a sand mold and sand will leach out of the block over time and prematurely wear out your water pump and anything that coolant comes in contact with.
- Installed a Strictly Diesel Pre pump filtration kit that is also a water separator with all new lines from the tank to the pump. This eliminates all the airleaks in the factory ford design and also adds more filtration and water separation to the truck which is very important on diesels.
- Factory design on these trucks doesnot allow any air that does make it into the fuel system to get back to the tank and forces it through the injectors changing your injection timing and hurting your injectors, I put on a riffraff diesel FRX which is a regulated return system that gives you better fuel pressure and also allows air a path out of the heads and back to the fuel tank.
- New serpentine belt and upper radiator hose, new billet thermostat housing and diesel site 203 deg thermostat
- New idler pulley
- All fluids and filters have been changed. Rear end fluid and trans fluid are now amsoil synthetic.
- New stainless exhaust tip, cab lights and stainless bezels on all exterior lights.
- New bilstein shocks front and rear
- New Moog sway bar end links that are greaseable
- Front end alignment
- Counteract balance beads in all tires front and rear, rides smooth as glass and improves tire wear and fuel mileage.
- New mudflaps
- New stainless front wheel simulators

MotorWeek relives '80s coupes with Dodge Daytona, Ford Escort EXP
Thu, Aug 6 2015Get ready for a wave of nostalgia and the rapid realization of the huge progress in performance cars over the last 30 years. For its latest Retro Review, MotorWeek takes a look back at two, front-wheel drive coupes from the '80s that seem to have entirely vanished from the roads today. Both the 1986 Dodge Daytona CS and the 1986.5 Ford Escort EXP were considered affordable, sporty options in their day, but the passage of time hasn't been kind to either of their specs. The Daytona certainly looks the part of a performance machine with a body that's reminiscent of other '80s coupes, like the third-gen Chevrolet Camaro. However with 146 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque from a 2.2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, acceleration wasn't exactly a strong suit. MotorWeek complained about copious torque steer, as well. The optional CS suspension upgrade package on this Daytona was apparently a nod to Carroll Shelby who was working with Dodge at the time. If anything, the Escort EXP withstands the test of time even worse. As a two-seat coupe, you might have expected Ford's engineers to really turn up the performance to fit the sporty image that the exterior conveyed. That didn't really happen, and depending on which model buyers ordered, they got either 86 horsepower with a 1.9-liter engine or the "high-output" version of that mill with 108 hp.
Hot Wheels Ford Transit Connect is worth more if we keep it in the box
Wed, 06 Nov 2013If the 2014 Transit Connect is anything like it's utile current-generation predecessor, and we suspect it is, it will undoubtedly be one of the most functional vehicles in North America. Ford has used the occasion of SEMA to turn the TC in to things that both make use of that functionality, and occasionally sort of wreck it in the name of good old-fashioned fun. The Ford Hot Wheels Transit Connect most certainly falls into that second category.
Most TC owners might cite the vehicle's massive cargo capacity as its top positive trait, though in the case of this wide-bodied Transit said space has been sapped in the name of a 55-inch television screen, a massive Hot Wheels drag strip (continuing a popular theme at SEMA this year) and custom storage for dozens of models from one's personal hot wheels collection. Designers have also plucked the grippy Recaro seats from the Focus ST, and thrown in a pair of 18-inch tablet screens for connectivity on the go.
Naturally, the Transit Connect wouldn't be an appropriate SEMA vehicle, or Hot Wheels name-bearer, if it weren't wearing an eye-popping appearance package. Additional homage to the Focus RS can be found in the blazing blue and orange front fascia and bumpers, while 20-inch wheels make sure the wider (four-inches in front and six-inches in the back) Transit Connect sits just right. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder-engine that powers the Hot Wheels TC ensures that the concept is more show than go, but you probably had that pegged from your first look, anyway.
Ford F-150 SVT Raptor sales jumping to new heights
Thu, 12 Sep 2013Ford can't seem to build F-150 SVT Raptors fast enough. The off-road-ready trucks have been one of the Blue Oval's most reliable sellers, with record sales in eight of the last 10 months and a 14-percent jump in 2013. That's impressive enough, considering that the least expensive Raptor starts at $44,000. Factor in the modded F-150's fuel economy (it's rated at 11 miles per gallon in the city and 16 on the highway) and a national average gas price, as of this writing, of $3.55 per gallon, and its success is as unlikely as Ford's home team, the Detroit Lions, winning the Super Bowl this year (sorry, Lions fans, we're just quoting the experts in Vegas...).
Yet for some reason, Raptors spend an average of just 15 days on dealer lots before being snapped up, which is a quarter of the 60-day industry average. According to Ford's truck group marketing manager, Doug Scott, it's capability that keeps the Raptor selling strong. "What's helping drive Raptor sales is that Raptor delivers unmatched off-road performance to our customers. Raptor is also proof of our commitment to offer a truck for every customer and continuously improving them to meet our customers' evolving needs."
To address the strong demand for Raptors, Ford will bump production from three trucks per hour to five. Not much, we agree. But building an extra 48 trucks per day, at most, seems like a prudent way of addressing demand without oversaturating what is ultimately a niche market. Check out the press release below for more.
