Up for sale i have a 2000 ford f750 extedned cab diesel pick up for sale. This is not your everage pick up truck . This is the truck you dream about but think you can not afford. Well think again this trucks reserve will be set at less than i have seen 2000 f350 go for. a . I am basically giving this truck away. Everyone always dreams about having the biggest pick up on the road , well here is your chance. This is a beaustiful truck it only has 327,000 miles on the whole truck . If you know these trucks they are not built like a regular truck every single part is beefed up like a tractor trailer . These go for millions of miles. The best part is this truck came out of the factory with a 215 hp cat trubo diesel and had the motor replaced a few years ago with a 300 hp cat turbo diesel that now only has 85,000 miles. Has power locks power windows. It has brand new style towing mirror. Is has led lights all over for extra saftey at night and makes it really look great at night even the fog lights are led. It has the heavy dutty allsion beffed up 5 speed transmition. Has upgraded fuel tanks that tottal 160 gallons of fuel it gets 15 mpg on the highway so you have a range of 2,400 miles before you need fuel. wow. The truck has a very expensive 5th wheel hitch that is the same one they use on tractor trailers giving this truck a towning capacity of an amazin 50,000 lbs. The the truck has air brakes. Everything has been gone through truck needs nothing at all get in and drive any where and tow anything. The interior is spotless and has cloth seats. The exterior is very nice has a few dings here and there. No rust at all. The bed has a few dents you can see in the pictures. Tailgate is bent and should be replaced. Tires and brakes are mint. I have seen these trucks at shows done up to be a show truck selling between 50k-70k . This is no show truck all though it would be a great start to make it one. My rserve is super super low. To replace this truck set up how it is new with the fuel tanks tha big cat engine the 5th wheel and the extra heavy dutty allison transmition would run you about $120,000. You could either drive it the way it is and have the biggest baddsest truck in your area. Turn it into a how truck . Or take the bed off make it a flat bed or a dump body and put it to work. I am also looking to trade for a old classic car , a newer corvette, or a nice boat. Please email me or text me with what you have . 631-697-5601. Please no junk trades must be worth the truck. Please also note this is not your average truck it weighs 20,000 lbs and has air brakes . It takes some experiance to drive. Please no bids outside of the U.S . Also will ship anywhere in the U.S but buyer is to set up all shipping and pay all shipping costs i would imagine it would be a ton of money to ship. Would be best to pick it up as it needs nothing and is ready to drive any where. You could use this truck to make tons of money towing and still look good driving in style. Thank you Tony

Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment
Thu, 20 Mar 2014One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.
Take a look below to see just what it is about the latest batch of infotainment systems that grinds CR's gears. After that, scroll down into Comments and let us know if you agree with the mag's views.
Enterprise working with renter's insurance to cover $47k Mustang stolen from its lot
Sat, 11 Jan 2014There was more than a bit of public indigence following the recent story of Enterprise Rent-A-Car billing a customer $47,000 to replace a Ford Mustang GT Convertible stolen from a Nova Scotia lot. To recap: Kristen Cockerill rented the Mustang for two days, returned it to the lot on a Sunday and left the keys in a secure dropbox only for Enterprise employees to find the car gone the next day.
Despite Enterprise policies stating that customers are responsible for vehicles dropped on off-days, the company has admitted that the situation could've been handled a bit better.
In a recent statement, Enterprise has backed off the big-bill story, and claims to be working with Cockerill and her insurance company to resolve the issue. Further, the Enterprise general manager overseeing Nova Scotia has spoken with the harried renter, and apologized "for the way this claim was handled during the last few months."
Automotive Grade Linux will be the backbone of your connected car
Fri, Jan 6 2017Creating a backend for a secure, reliable, and expandable infotainment system is costly and time consuming. The Linux Foundation, a non-profit organization, has set out to promote and advance the Linux operating system in commercial products. Automotive Grade Linux, or AGL, is a group within the Foundation that seeks to apply a Linux backend to a number of automotive applications in a variety of vehicles from various suppliers and manufacturers. AGL's goal is to create a common, unifying framework that allows developers and manufacturers to easily implement applications across platforms. Currently, the focus is on infotainment systems, but AGL has plans for instrument clusters, heads-up displays, and eventually active safety software. At CES, a display from Panasonic showed a completely digital and customizable dashboard that allows information and apps to be moved from the gauge cluster to the infotainment screen and back, all through the use of gesture and touch controls. Although the organization has been around for five years, it's really only been in the past three that the group has been working hand in hand with automakers and suppliers. The first two OEMs to participate, Toyota and Jaguar Land Rover, have since been joined by Mazda, Suzuki, Ford, and, as of this week, Daimler. The latter is important as until now most of AGL's partner's have been based in Japan or the US. Other partners include suppliers Denso, Renesas, Continental, Qualcomm, and Intel. AGL want's to supply roughly 80 percent of the backend, allowing partners to then finish and refine the Linux system for each individual application. Think of how the Android operating system is refined and customized for individual smartphones from Samsung, LG, and Motorola. While the final product looks different, developers can have an application that will work across all AGL systems. Because it is open source, anyone can use and develop for AGL. You can even go onto the group's website and download a copy right now. There is also a software development kit available that helps facilitate app creation on the platform. Vehicle development cycles take roughly five years, so there currently are no cars that run an AGL backbone available for consumers. AGL Executive Director Dan Cauchy says products should be hitting the market later this year, with even more coming in 2018. Right now, the industry is relatively fragmented when it comes to infotainment and related systems.
