Have here a beautiful restored Ford 1950 F-1 Pickup. Sitting on a 1979 Ford Bronco chassis. Powered by a Ford 400 V-8 (351 Cleveland). C6 Transmission. This truck has been taken apart head to toe and redone. All new tinted glass, seals, chrome, etc. This truck is almost flawless, and is a real head turner. Only 15k on a like new motor and drive train. This runs and drives amazing and needs nothing. There is an oak floor in the bed. Power steering, power brakes, 4x4, fiberglass fenders and running boards. This truck is beautiful with just a couple of areas that I consider normal wear, and are not big enough to mention. But, I want you to know this is not a new truck. No exceptions to this beauty. The restoration was done in Bloomington, Illinois. The  truck was appraised by Classic Auto for $23,500. Have signed document to prove. Truck has taken top honors at every local show. It has entered and been in local parades (most recent plaque is in the pictures, just won an hour before doing this listing). You couldn't build this truck for twice as much as I'm listing it for. This is your chance for to own a real thought out and tastefully done F-1. The truck speaks for itself, and would make a great addition to a collection, or a daily driver. Please look at all pictures and ask any questions. Everything works, including the 4x4, heater, wipers and etc.Titled as a 1950 F-1 (clear). Picture don't do this F-1 justice, have to see in person.

Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Customers have spoken and automobile satisfaction is down in 2015. I'm Chris McGraw and this is your Autoblog Minute. The American Customer Satisfaction Index or ACSI released its updated numbers and according to the survey, new car buyer satisfaction is down for the third straight year. According to an ACSI press release, customer satisfaction with new automobiles has fallen 3.7 percent, to 79 on its 100-point scale. The ACSI report is based on over 4,100 customer surveys collected in the second quarter of 2015 Sitting at the top of the industry in customer satisfaction is Toyota's Lexus brand with a score of 84. Which was good enough to dethrone Mercedes-Benz, which fell 3% to a score of 83. Of the Big Three, Ford was the only domestic automaker to maintain overall customer satisfaction with its score of 81. General Motors slipped 3% to 79 and Fiat Chrysler had a 5% drop, registering a score of 75 out the possible 100. What's driving this trend of customer dissatisfaction? ASCI points to the rise in recalls and car prices. Where do you land on customer satisfaction spectrum? Sound off in the comments with your thoughts on the current state of car ownership and brand quality. For Autoblog, I'm Chris McGraw. Ford pulls official support from top-level NHRA teams

Sun, 11 Aug 2013

As the smallest team in the sport, it wasn't really a surprise when Dodge decided to pull out of NASCAR, but Autoweek is reporting that Ford is looking to pull the plug on its professional-level NHRA sponsorships following the 2014 season. With attendance and television ratings down, the article reports that Ford is just backing out of the top series but will remain active in the Sportsman classes of racing, which are geared more toward the grassroots and semi-professional racers.
This means that one of drag racing's biggest names, John Force, will be left looking for new sponsorship after next season. Force, 64, has been with Ford for 17 years, winning 15 championships in that time and winning almost half of all Funny Car events in his Mustang since he started working with Ford in 1997, but after 2014, there could be some big shakeups at John Force Racing.
According to the report, Force would consider is moving over to the Top Fuel dragster series, although he could also move to another manufacturer to remain in the Funny Car series. With Ford on the way out, this leaves just Toyota and Dodge as the remaining active automakers in the highest levels of drag racing.

Ford books $2.6B pretax quarterly profit

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

While its crosstown competitors at General Motors are smarting over a drastic drop in net income to $200 million in the second quarter, Ford has reason to celebrate. The Blue Oval has announced its own Q2 financial results, including a growing net income of $1.3 billion, a $78 million increase over last year. Pretax profits for the company reached $2.6 billion, up $44 million from 2013, but total revenue dropped slightly to $37.4 billion, down from $37.9 billion. Profits per share before one-time charges totaled 40 cents per share, beating Wall Street analysts' expectations of 36 cents a share.
Regionally, the Blue Oval performed strongly, as well. North America posted a record quarterly pre-tax profit of $2.4 billion, a $119 million increase. Europe also showed signs of turn around with its first profit in three years of $14 million after a loss of $306 million in Q2 2013. Ford is actually predicting profitability in the troubled region in 2015. Asia Pacific operations also performed well with $159 million in profits, up $29 million from last year. The only region where the business posted a loss was South America.
According to Automotive News, Ford also announced more precise plans about the changeover to build the aluminum-intensive 2015 F-150. In August, the Dearborn plant will shutdown for eight weeks to retool and its Kansas City plant will do the same next year.
