Selling my 1948 ford F-1 hotrod. The truck was originally a Texas truck that I bought and brought home in 2004. The truck was stripped down to the bare frame and the FRAME ONLY was sand blasted and painted black. part of the body has the original black enamel paint from the factory and part of it was lightly sanded and painted flat black because of pealing paint. there is no bondo or filler in the body, what you see is what you get. every panel on the truck is original to the truck with the exception of the patch I welded in the hole where the fuel tank filler hole was in the cab. The front and rear suspension was removed and replace with a Jaguar indepndant rear with a Dana 44 center section with 3.31 ring and pinion and an Auburn competition posi unit ( gears and posi both new last summer)  and a Mustang II independant front. The ride is controled by PRO SHOX shocks and springs on the front and (4) QA1 coilover shocks on the rear (rear coil overs all new last fall). The engine is a high performance ford 390 FE that does need to run on race fuel, it does not care for pump gas. The engine was punched 30 over and has forged pistons, Earson cam, Holley 750 carb fed by a Mr. Gasket high volume electric fuel pump, headers custom built and ceramic coated by Sanderson, Edelbrock street master single plane aluminum intake, custom tig welded aluminum valve covers, chrome oil pan and a Davis Unified Ignition HEI conversion distributor custom programed for the engine and truck set up and it is cooled by a Griffin aluminum drag radiaor. The exhaust is 2 1/2" with Flow Master muflers and electric cutouts located next to the headers and controlled by a switch in the cab. You can keep and eye on everything with the Dolphin guage cluster. The transmition is a TCI street fighter C6 (new last summer) controled by a Lokar shifter and cooled by a B&M Super cooler. The wire harnes is all new and is fed by an Optima red top battery tucked under the modern bench seat. Fuel is stored in a beer keg that is mounted in the bed and bolted through the hardwood floor that came from a farm house that was over 100 years old. There is an antique camel back trunk mounted in the bed that makes great storage for your bags when you go away for a weekend trip. Wheels are new Wheel Vintiques steelies and the front ones have BFGoodrich Radial T/A's on the front and new ( less than 300 miles) Nitto 555R Drag Radials on the back.  The interior is heated by a new Vintage Air heater/defroster. The truck rides, handles, sounds, and accelerates fantastic and will not dissapoint the buyer. I have a few things that are extra and will go with the truck including a new set of in the box fiberglass running boards, stainless steel tail lights and brackets that I ran for a short while before switching to the single malteese cross tail light, new never used interior door handles and escutions ( outer door handles are new and the originals are included), window crank handles and escutions, windshield gasket, cowel vent gasket and a set of new in the box billet aluminum roller rockers, shafts and stands for the motor. Im sure I am forgetting some parts and if I am they will be included as well. If you do not want the motor, contact me with a REASONABLE offer and if I accept it I will be happy to pull the motor out and sell you the truck without it as I have several thousand dollars invested in it. Please contact me with any and all questions or concerns you have about the truck. It is not a full restoration and it has some very minor body dammage that can be seen in the video, NO BODY WORK HAS BEEN DONE TO THIS TRUCK, I built it the way I wanted it and did not want to destroy the original state of the truck, however that being said it is rock solid and would be a great candidate for a paint job if that is what you are looking for because all the mechanical work has already been done.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AT LEAST 10 POSITIVE FEEDBACK OR IF YOU HAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK DO NOT BID!! The truck was listed a few months ago and the buyer was a scam that tried to rip me off and steal the truck. Also the truck is for sale locally and the auction can end at any time an accepted offer is made either through ebay or locally. thank you and happy bidding.

Ford Mustang to get four-cylinder in Europe, but not US

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Fans of the Ford Mustang SVO, which was produced from 1884 through 1986 with a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine and a manual transmission, may be interested to know that Ford is reportedly going to introduce something similar for 2015. But don't get too excited if you live in the US, as Edmunds reports that the vehicle will be offered in Europe only. Boo!
According to the report, Ford will put a version of its EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder into the engine bay of the Mustang. The engine would be enlarged from its current 2.0 liters to 2.3 liters, taking horsepower from 252 to around 300. The well-known 5.0 V8 engine will also be available in Europe.
"The Mustang is uniquely Ford and has a huge fan base here in Europe. Now those fans have something to look forward to and we look forward to providing more details in the near future," says Ford of Europe CEO Stephen Odell. That's great... but why not offer buyers in the States the (likely) fuel-efficient turbo option, too?

2015 Ford Mustang Convertible shown on Twitter [UPDATE w/video]

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

It hasn't yet been 12 hours since the hotly anticipated 2015 Ford Mustang has been let out into public view. After a series of evocative leaks over the course of the last days, we brought you a full deep dive of the sixth-generation pony car at the dawning of today. And yet, here we are rushing to bring you news of a new Mustang variant, already.
Be it part of a plan to keep the Mustang fervor at full boil, or a misunderstood email somewhere in the chain of command, Ford UK has unceremoniously tweeted a picture of the 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible. For a newly global Mustang, getting our first look at the droptop from the convertible-crazy British does make some amount of sense.
As for details, well, you're looking at them. Brandon Turkus reported yesterday that the Mustang 'vert would make use of a fully electric convertible mechanism, and that it would be of fabric construction rather than some kind of retractable hardtop. We see here that the fabric part is clearly true, and it does look as though Ford may still be employing the same kind of manually attached tonneau cover that exists right now. Of course, our view from this angle isn't great, and the particulars are still up in the air.
