OK, I ADDED MORE PICS OF THE TRUCK. THE ENGINE, INTERIOR, BED AREA, ETC... I CAN ONLY ADD 3 MORE (MAX IS 24), SO LET ME KNOW IF I MISSED ANYTHING. AS YOU CAN SEE, THE HEADLINER AND SUN VISORS ARE NEW. THE SEAT HAS SOME TEARS IN IT WHERE THE DRIVER SITS BUT ITS NOT BAD. THE RIPS ARE ALONG THE SEAMS SO THEY CAN BE SEWN CLOSED.  THE GOLD PLATE IN ONE PIC IS HARD TO READ WITH THE FLASH BUT, IT IS FROM A CAR SHOW IN COTTONWOOD, AZ. FROM 2003. I'VE JUST HAD THE TRUCK HERE IN FLORIDA FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS.

I'VE BEEN GETTING LOTS OF EMAILS ASKING ABOUT THE RESERVE OR A "BUY IT NOW" PRICE. PLEASE, JUST BID WHAT YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. I WILL JUST SAY THAT AT THE CURRENT BID OF A LITTLE OVER $7K, IT STILL HAS A LONG WAY TO GO.  I WOULD LIKE TO SELL IT SINCE I NEED THE SPACE BUT, I'M NOT GOING TO GIVE IT AWAY. I KNOW WHAT ITS WORTH. THESE ARE HARD TO FIND IN THIS GOOD OF CONDITION THAT HAVE NOT BEEN HOT RODDED.

Ford's J Mays feels vindicated by Fusion reception

Tue, 25 Sep 2012

It's hard to think back now, but the same man overseeing the design of the 2013 Ford Fusion also presided over a rather lackluster period in Ford design, highlighted by vehicles like the Five Hundred and Freestyle. With the redesigned Fusion receiving high praise, J Mays tells Automotive News that he feels vindicated from criticisms suggesting he's not a daring enough designer.
When Mays took over as lead of design in 1997, he admits to having quite an ego ("My head would barely fit through the door some days. I've long since gotten over myself") and the workload to match. With the Blue Oval's portfolio full of premium brands like Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo at that point, along with the bread-and-butter Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models, Mays certainly had quite the challenge.
It was in the mid-2000s that Mays took over just the premium brands, and took on the new title of Chief Creative Officer. At the time, Mays endured some criticism for looking backwards to retro styling, rather than setting a new standard for American car design - criticism that Mays says he is free from with the all-new Fusion.

J Mays' legacy

Fri, 15 Nov 2013

Mays is by far not the first designer to use heritage design cues in his work.
The announcement that J Mays will be leaving his chief creative officer role at Ford Motor Company on January 1 ends a 13-year run in one of the industry's top design roles. While best known for having a hand in reborn classics like the Volkswagen New Beetle, Ford Mustang and Thunderbird (above), Mays' legacy is more complicated and nuanced than being considered the father of what is known as "retrofuturism".

Would a Mustang-based Lincoln look like this?

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

Designer Josiah LaCalla has taken a stab at what a Ford Mustang-based Lincoln model might look like with the Continental Mark X1 concept. Make no mistake, Ford's luxury arm has made it abundantly clear that it won't be pursuing any new products outside of volume models, which means a flashy halo grand tourer like the one you see here isn't in the cards. LaColla used the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG as a basis for his creation, which explains the long nose, but we certainly don't mind the idea of a rear-wheel drive Lincoln with a cabin pushed to the aft.
While we're dreaming, there's certainly nothing stopping us from imagining what's under that lengthy hood. We like the idea of the 5.8-liter supercharged V8 from the Shelby GT500 pushing the Mark X1 down the road, but how about something a little more inventive? Something like a high-revving, buttery V12 with enough torque to push the contraption well past 200 miles per hour. Dream a little dream, people.
