I have here a good condition 1942 Ford Truck used by the military in World War 2. It is a 1.5 ton model dually. It is a cab on frame truck that came original with a wood stake bed. I acquired this truck in May of 2012 from a friend of mine. I have a clean title for this truck. The truck has the original 226 cubic inch flat head inline six cylinder engine. The truck runs very good. The rear brake cylinders inside the drums have been rebuilt. I have rebuild kits for the front brake drum cylinders and the brake master cylinder. I have a new old stock wiring harness and headlights and brake light harnesses. The generator has been tested and works good. The water pump has been rebuilt. The carburetor has been rebuilt. Has fresh fluids in the engine and four speed manual transmission. It has a new points ignition and a resistor so the six volt ignition can run with a 12 volt battery. The seat has been recovered as well. This is a reliable truck and cranks up every time you hit the ignition.

Please call me if interested. 910 988 8557, Jamie.

TRANSLOGIC 147: CES 2014 Autonomous Vehicles

Wed, Jan 15 2014

We head back to CES in Las Vegas to check on the progress of autonomous vehicles in 2014. We go hands-free on the highway with Audi, narrowly avoid a collision with Ford and hear all about BMW's drifting driverless car. But first we take a ride on Induct's self-driving Navia shuttle.

Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars

Fri, 05 Sep 2014

There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.

2015 Ford Mustang invades SEMA, led by King Cobra

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

Ford showcased more than a dozen customized 2015 Mustangs at its sprawling 20,000-square foot display this week at the Las Vegas Convention Center as the iconic pony car's 50th anniversary celebration continued at the SEMA Show.
While Mustangs are always a hot commodity at SEMA, the new generation brought increased attention from the aftermarket, as builders like Galpin Auto Sports, Richard Petty's Garage and Vaughn Gittin Jr. offered their takes on the new 'Stang.
The extensive display included a range of Mustangs from mild to wild, with everything from a 600-plus horsepower King Cobra pictured at the top, to paint-and-wheel packages. The new regal Cobra, which we spied early in our SEMA adventure this year, may not be the replacement for the Cobra Jet as we speculated, but it does seem to point the way forward for the next iteration of a supreme Ford dragster. Fat drag slicks out back make it's reason for being abundantly clear, and for tells us that modded car is good for a 10.97-second quarter-mile run.
