Up for auction is a 1937 Ford truck that is set up old school hotrod. This truck was originally a flat head V-8. I am selling this truck as a project but it needs very little to be whatever you want it to be. The frame has been dipped and powder coated. All new suspension that has also been either painted or powder coated. Converted to power disc brakes and a Ford 9" rear end with 3.25 ratio. The truck has been rewired and all new brake and fuel lines installed, all very professionally. The truck is set up with a Chevy 350 engine and 350 automatic trans. The floor was replaced to accommodate the new larger transmission. The interior is unfinished meaning there are no door panels or head liner. New Dolphin gauges have been installed along with a custom seat and Lokar floor shifter and Lokar throttle and detent cables have been installed. The bed is a all new metal bed kit and the wood floor is new. All of the lights and turn signals work on this truck. A new custom radiator and headers with dual exhaust have been added. The front and rear glass is in great shape. The door glasses are missing as well as the cowl vent but these can be had pretty easily. The tires and wheels are new and have no miles on them. The engine is used but runs good and has new plugs and wires, cap and rotor and the carb has been rebuilt. Starts and runs fine and drives good. The speedometer is not hooked up and the oil pressure gauge works on and off and I would guess the sending unit is going bad. When the gauge reads it shows about 60 psi. The front seal on the engine does leak some oil but its an easy fix. The truck has a new battery. The cab is in good shape and I would give it a 7 out of 10. The grill isnt perfect but not bad for this type of truck. The VIN number is stamped on the frame clearly and where it should be. If you wish to inspect the truck please contact me to set up an appointment. This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. This truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Winning buyer will need to pay a $500 deposit via paypal within 24 hours of the closing and the balance will be due before you can take the truck. Cash, certified check or bank transfer will be required for final payment and all payment must clear the bank before I will release the truck. I have 100% positive feedback so bid with ease. |

Martini Mustang is a 'what if moment' gone right
Wed, 23 Oct 2013Feast your eyes on a masterpiece. This is Steve Strope's Ford Mustang in the classic fastback bodystyle, and as you'll notice, it sports the signature colors of Martini Racing, a livery that's as legendary as any Gulf Racing-styled car. But the red, white and blues of the Martini stripe down this Mustang's middle tell only a very small part of the story, in the latest video from Petrolicious.
What would you guess is under the hood? A 289-cubic-inch V8? Maybe a 302, or some absurd Ford crate engine? Maybe Strope went all Tokyo Drift - he's actually responsible for the "Hammer" Plymouth Satellite driven by Vin Diesel at the end of the movie - and found an RB26DETT to drop into the pony car? You'd be wrong on all counts.
This mad, mad man somehow finagled a Ford-Lotus engine from a 1966 Indianapolis 500 car into the Mustang's engine bay. Yes, a Mustang with an engine designed for a 160-mile-per-hour, open-wheel racecar. That's like someone in 40 years dropping McLaren's 2.4-liter V8 from the MP4-28 into a Scion FR-S. It'd just make a monster.
Ford Focus ST, Fiesta ST buyers to get free Octane Academy driving school
Thu, 01 Aug 2013The Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST have created plenty of excitement in the sport compact segment, and Ford is looking to make sure that owners are driving and enjoying their cars to the best of their abilities. As an added bonus for buying one of these sporty hatchbacks, Ford will provide a complimentary ST Octane Academy session to be held at the Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.
Attendees will be responsible for travel and lodging, but Ford will provide the driving school free of charge. Included in this two-day trip, ST owners will get class instruction and driving instruction in prepped Focus ST and Fiesta ST models on the track and autocross course. Some karting action will also be involved as will a tour of Ken Block's Hoonigan Racing headquarters located nearby. If this doesn't sound like enough fun, there is also an optional day of activities that includes some more track time in a Mustang GT and off-road instruction in an F-150 SVT Raptor.
Ford told us that those who have already purchased a Focus ST or Fiesta ST will still be able to attend the performance driving school, but the press release, which is posted below, makes it sound like it applies to original owners only. Ford has yet to announce its schedule for the ST Octane Academy or prices for additional activities or guests.
Ford ST Octane Academy [w/video]
Wed, 04 Jun 2014
The ST school is about more than just handbrake turns, hot laps, and sliding into parking spaces.
I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.
