You are looking at my 1934 ford street rod. It was finished in 2010 and has been driven very little, with only 835 miles. I am not sure were to start, It has a 350 chevy engine and trans, with a 3.08 gear 10 bolt rear. The engine is stock other than bolt ons, which consist of a cross ram intake with 450 holleys, a grant flamethrower dual point, cal custom valve covers, an aluminum oil pan, and a waterpump riser. The frame was custom built and the cab is not chopped or channeled and is very comfortable to ride in. The bed was custom built from 48 ford bed sides, and the flying eyeball is embossed on the tailgate. It has coker tires on american racing wheels. The front suspension is a drop axle with stainless hairpins and 41 ford spindles with buick brake conversion. The rear is a 4 bar with factory gm brakes. It has autometer ford script gauges and a chrome speedway column. The truck drives very nice, but it does not driver like a new car if that is what you are looking for. They exhaust is not as loud as you would think, it has baffles, and is about like driving a harley. It could use some carpet professionally installed. It has a fuel cell under the bed and one of my few complaints is that it is slow to fill with the filler on the side (I did not want it in the bed floor). The truck was in street rods top 100 when I took it to the Goodguys show in 2010 shortly after finishing. I am sure there is a lot I am missing An if you have any questions you can email me or call 785 844 3363. This is a very nice truck that needs a new home. It has a clean Kansas title and I will help load but will not arrange shipping. The decals on the doors will come off if you do not like them.

If you would like to look at the truck contact me. I would consider a partial trade for a gm muscle car.

2015 Ford Mustang potentially 'leaked' by Car and Driver

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

Few upcoming debuts have been as eagerly anticipated as the all-new Ford Mustang that's expected to debut shortly as the Mustang's 50th anniversary year approaches. Well, Car and Driver magazine would have us wait no longer as it claims to be leaking Ford's new global pony car early.
Of course what you're looking at is just as likely to be a composite rendering based on what C/D projects the new Mustang to look like, but to our eyes it looks spot on. Combining design traits from the Evos Concept with classic Mustang signatures and Ford's Aston-inspired grille treatment, C/D's images - including a complete 360-degree digital navigator - show a Mustang not only for the modern era, but also for global distribution, taking a quintessentially American car to markets its predecessors were never designed for.
Those global considerations are expected to spell the demise of the outgoing Mustang's holdout live rear axle in favor of an independent suspension, and a slight constricting of the exterior dimensions. And thanks to a separate leak, coming from a digital survey, we have apparent confirmation of what will power the new pony car. While the existing 3.7-liter V6 and 5.0-liter V8 engines will apparently carry over with only slight adjustments in output, the survey confirms a new 2.4-liter turbo four will be positioned in between them, offering slightly more power than the V6 but markedly improved fuel economy for a manageable $560 premium over base.

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Ford Transit can haul on the track

Tue, 19 Aug 2014

Line up any two comparable vehicles, and eople are going to want to race them. Need proof? In its latest track battle, Auto Express wants to know which commercial vehicle can lap a circuit faster - a Ford Transit or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Let's face it, neither of these European vans were ever meant to be near the track unless they are delivering a racecar and a ton of parts for a fun weekend, but it's massively fun to watch them give it a go anyway.
The one thing that Auto Express really illustrates here is the modern marvel that is stability control. The driver hops curves, and these big vans lean in the corners like your friend walking home from a long night at the bar. However, because of the amazing stability systems, the vans mostly keep all of their wheels planted and never seem close to getting sloppy, despite their behemoth size.
Unfortunately, the two vans aren't exactly fairly paired. The Ford has a dual rear axle and a few other advantages over the Mercedes, but it's still hilarious to watch them go. Even better, the host breaks down everything happening behind the wheel like these commercial vehicles were two Porsches. Enjoy watching this very unorthodox battle between Ford and Mercedes.

Ford reveals automated Fusion Hybrid

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Autonomous cars may still be in their infancy, but more and more big names in the auto industry are diving in head first. Nissan is already making strides with a semi-autonomous Leaf EV and General Motors is planning to offer semi-autonomous tech by 2020. And then there's Google, doing its thing with a fleet of Toyota Prius. Now, Ford is showing off its latest automated effort, a driverless Fusion Hybrid.
Partnering with the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and State Farm Insurance, the project is part of Ford's Blueprint for Mobility, the company's plan for transportation beyond 2025. "The Ford Fusion Hybrid automated vehicle represents a vital step toward our vision for the future of mobility," Chairman Bill Ford said. "We see a future of connected cars that communicate with each other and the world around them to make driving safer, ease traffic congestion and sustain the environment."
The automated Fusion features four LiDAR infrared sensors that scan the road 2.5 million times every second, using a principle similar to the echolocation used by dolphins or bats. Using the infrared light emitted by the LiDAR, the car can draw a picture of everything within 200 feet to create a map of its surroundings. According to Ford, the sensors are able to tell the difference between a paper bag and a small animal from a football field away.
