Muscle Car Garage USA:

We are a private collection of 60's and 70's muscle cars. We also do restorations in our two locations in the Jacksonville and Orlando area. From time to time we decide to offer one of our collector cars up for sale. Our vehicles are usually full "nut and bolt" restorations and are the quality of a regional or local show car winner. Many of our cars are previous trophy winners. We are not dealers just car enthusiasts who have been collecting cars for years and performing restorations to the level of regional show car quality. We are not a concourse restorer, and many of our cars are trailered to events but most vehicles can be driven if you choose to do so.

All Around Details

For Sale is our prize winning 1928 Ford Hot Rod Pick Up "Rat Rod". This is a professional built "Jesse James" style Vintage Hot Rod Truck. No junk yard parts were used to build this two time magazine truck and multiple award winner. This is a real 1928 Truck with all new or refurbished parts. Drivetrain is a strong rebuilt Ford 302 coupled to a C-6 AutomaticTrans. Rear end is a Bronco Dana 44 differential. Truck is equipped with disc brakes, electronic ignition, aluminum radiator, electric fans, and fuel pump.  The chassis is a pro built "Speedway" style frame that was "Z" designed to bring it down low and provide a great ride. The custom exhaust pipes & Hood ornament are out of this world and are two of the highlights of the truck. This is absolutely one of the coolest vehicles you will ever own and drive. We have owned well over 100 collectibles cars and this one gets more attention, pictures, and Instagrams posts than anything we own or have ever owned.

Exterior Details:

First off this real 28 Cab and Bed was media blasted to bare metal. All corrosion work was repaired with metal (no bondo) and chopped roof and visor have been custom fabricated. There is no rust on this truck anywhere. Just a note that the wood filler in the door jams is the actual wood from 1928. How cool is that? Paint is custom created patina with pinstripping by the famous Dr D with vintage door sign. Bed is custom dark stained beveled edge wood planks and houses the authentic beer keg fuel tank. Front grille is partially real and partially fabricated. Winged goddess hood ornament is an antigue gardening tool. Lighting and wiring are all new and even has brakes lights on cab as well as tailgate. Tailgate is smoothed and opens to secret storage compartment and new Optima battery mounted at rear. Wheels are 15 & 16" steelies with retro look rubber that is in very good condition. Doors open and close with correct mechanism as they did in 1928. Underside of this truck is spotless and all new. Every nut, bolt, line, wire, etc is new and the underside is a testament to that. Frame and components painted chassis black. Engine shows as very vintage trendy with exposed surface rust on many parts (even though all is new or rebuilt). Carb is brand new Holley 500cfm but is hidden under the working vintage drag snorkel air cleaner.

Summary:

This is a one of a kind pro built Hot Rod using top quality parts. This is not a junk yard Rat Rod. This is a vintage "Jesse James" style Hot Rod that can be driven and taken to many shows. This truck has been featured in two magazines and was a featured vehicle at Disney's Dream Cars Weekend. It also was featured at the 2013 Pinupalooza and was a top trophy winner at the 2013 Indian River Rumble. If you are looking for something different and cool and want reliablity then this is your opportunity to own a work of art for a fraction of the cost of the time and money that went into the creation of this truck. If you want something that everyone else shows up with at car shows, then you have read too far and are wasting your time. This is a very painstaking detailed build that reflects the current trends on old school patina Hot Rods with the skill set of today's parts and technology. If you win the bidding, just be prepared to get ambushed by just about everybody with questions and pictures.  Good luck bidding!!!

Project Ugly Horse alive and kicking at Road & Track

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

The hallways of the Autoblog campus are much quieter now that Zach Bowman has taken his prose, along with his welders, wrenches and hammers, over to the digital pages of Road & Track, but that doesn't mean our favorite project Mustang is gone forever. Project Ugly Horse is still coming along, and Zach has gifted us another update on his unfoxy Fox Body.
Last we saw of the Ugly Horse, Zach was strengthening up the '89 Mustang's chassis as he prepares to stuff the turbocharged, direct-injected EcoBoost engine of a Ford Focus ST under the hood. First things first, the old mill must go. Head on over to Road & Track to catch the latest chapter of Project Ugly Horse.

Ford announces bevy of recalls, 2 of which are recalls on recalls

Tue, 04 Nov 2014

Ford has announced five separate recalls, affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
It's not been a great couple of weeks for Ford. On October 30, the company announced a 205,000-unit recall, and yesterday, it was revealed that the Ford brand's year-over-year sales were down over 5,000 units while the company itself was down 3,000 units over through October. Now, the company has announced five separate recalls affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.

2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty Power Stroke

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

What weighs 30,000 pounds? Big Ben's Westminster bell. A navy ship anchor. Or as we found out during our first drive program for the 2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty, seven pallets of cinder blocks loaded onto a dual-axle gooseneck trailer. The test was part of a raft of towing demonstrations that showcased the new Super Duty's impressive tug capacity, which maxes out at 32,100 pounds. That's 1,200 more than its nearest rival, the Ram 3500, when equipped with its upgraded 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8. Such is the heavy-duty pickup truck business, a diesel-fueled game of one-upmanship with only three players: Ford, Chevrolet/GMC and Ram. And in this game, the one with the most torque wins.
Until 2014, Ford was the one to beat, with its 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel bringing 400 hp and a massive 800 lb-ft of torque to the table. Then last year, Ram did exactly that, serving Ford with a beefed-up Cummins turbodiesel inline-six in its freshened Ram Heavy Duty truck line with 385 hp and 850 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to tow up to 30,000 pounds. But Ford claims it had designed its engine to be relatively easy to upgrade when the time called for it, so for 2015, Ford bolted a larger turbo to the Power Stroke, bringing output to an insane 440 hp and 860 lb-ft of twist, all without reducing fuel efficiency. Maximum tow capacity rises from 24,700 lbs to an incredible 31,200 lbs for the F-450 dually.
As for GM's HDs? They lag behind the lot with their 6.6-liter Duramax V-8, producing 397 hp and 765 lb-ft of torque. Yeah, you know things are serious when the trucks with 765 lb-ft are the knock-kneed wimps of the lot.
