1966 Ford Mustang Coupe. I have owned this Mustang for 11 years, I purchased it in Glendale Arizona where most of it's life it was parked under a carport. For the last 11 years it has been stored in a dry building in Missouri. After an extensive search for a rust free Mustang, I purchased this car with the intentions of doing a ground up restoration but my plans have changed direction and I am offering it for sale. This car is solid and rust free from the ground up and shows no signs of ever recieving any major accident damage. This 47 year old surviver deserves a quality ground up restoration, but will require NO metal to be replaced. All of the usual places like trunk floor, rear shackle area, trunk drops, frame rails, and floor pans are solid and the car has never been under coated (see pictures). This Mustang is a 289 V8 2 barrel, C4 automatic transmission, power steering, factory air conditioning, factory tinted glass, remote door mirror, day / night rear view mirror, factory styled steel wheels. The tires are like new with very little use but are 11 years old. My intentions were to change the interior to black, so through the years I purchased a new dash pad, new front bucket seat covers and new door panels, which will be included with the car. The odometer reads 110,210 miles, that appears to be actual but I can not document that it is. The body over all is very straight, but does have a few minor dings and dents that would be expected on a 47 year old daily driver. All of the glass is in excellent conditon. I would say the trim is in average with a few dings here and there. The interior is complete and again in very good condition to be 47 years old and would probably be good driver quality but should be replaced if doing a restoration. Due to the long term storage the car is currently not road worthy, I am sure the fuel system, carburator, brakes, and tires will require to be repaired or replaced to make the car drivable. Currently the car will start and run using a jump box and starting fluid, and the engine does sound good. The car was running and driving when parked 11 years ago. If you have been looking for a rust free straight quality 1st generation Mustang to restore and are tired of looking at all of the patched up rust buckets out there, then you might want to give my car some serious consideration. I know this car would look better if it was in primer because primer covers a lot of flaws and bondo, you can look at this one and get a true view of what you are getting. Good Missouri title. This car is an excellent candidate to be restored back to original or build a restomod. I have tried to describe this car to the best of my ability but have probably missed something that you need to know, if so just ask. If you would like to inspect this Mustang in person again just ask and arrangements will be made. Thanks for looking and the winning bidder will not be disappointed, hard to find an original these days in this condition.

Hot Wheels Ford Transit Connect is worth more if we keep it in the box
Wed, 06 Nov 2013If the 2014 Transit Connect is anything like it's utile current-generation predecessor, and we suspect it is, it will undoubtedly be one of the most functional vehicles in North America. Ford has used the occasion of SEMA to turn the TC in to things that both make use of that functionality, and occasionally sort of wreck it in the name of good old-fashioned fun. The Ford Hot Wheels Transit Connect most certainly falls into that second category.
Most TC owners might cite the vehicle's massive cargo capacity as its top positive trait, though in the case of this wide-bodied Transit said space has been sapped in the name of a 55-inch television screen, a massive Hot Wheels drag strip (continuing a popular theme at SEMA this year) and custom storage for dozens of models from one's personal hot wheels collection. Designers have also plucked the grippy Recaro seats from the Focus ST, and thrown in a pair of 18-inch tablet screens for connectivity on the go.
Naturally, the Transit Connect wouldn't be an appropriate SEMA vehicle, or Hot Wheels name-bearer, if it weren't wearing an eye-popping appearance package. Additional homage to the Focus RS can be found in the blazing blue and orange front fascia and bumpers, while 20-inch wheels make sure the wider (four-inches in front and six-inches in the back) Transit Connect sits just right. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder-engine that powers the Hot Wheels TC ensures that the concept is more show than go, but you probably had that pegged from your first look, anyway.
Ford Mustang was almost 'Imported from Detroit'
Wed, Oct 7 2015The Ford Mustang achieved iconic status nearly the moment the sheet came off at the 1964 World's Fair. And if Henry Ford II wasn't getting divorced around that time, the pony car might have been called the Torino and been marketed as 'Imported from Detroit,' according to Automotive News. We'll explain. During research for the new book Once in a Great City: A Detroit Story, author David Maraniss found an interesting connection between Chrysler's (now FCA US) slogan and the Ford Mustang. Before the pony car even had a name, the Blue Oval's advertising agency had the idea to market it as a "brand new import ... from Detroit," according to Automotive News. The vehicle would be sold as "inspired by Italy's great road cars, but straight from Detroit." The name Torino was suggested, as well. However, the real world interfered in making the Mustang Detroit's first import. According to the author, Henry Ford II was getting a divorce, and his future wife was Italian. It was therefore thought to be a bad idea to sell the future pony car as being from Italy. Things clearly changed by the time the Torino hit the streets years later. Related Video:
These Canadians somehow forgot how to drive in snow
Tue, Dec 6 2016Montreal drivers experienced a slow-motion pileup on their streets this weeks thanks to the first snow fall of the season. According to the CBC, slippery conditions caused a small pileup involving cars, buses and even a street clearing vehicle. Onlookers in neighboring office buildings watched as vehicle after vehicle slid down Cote du Beaver Hall and crashed into the scrum of waiting cars. First there was a city bus, then a white Ford F-150 work truck loaded down with ladders, then another city bus came along and sandwiched the poor F-150. A Montreal Police Charger then came down the hill backwards, hit the bus in a slow, sad crash before it was crashed into by an out of control plow truck. Since its posting yesterday, the video of the crash has gone viral. Various other vehicles–a green-topped Scion delivery truck and a couple workaday sedans–were lucky enough to escape the pileup, but still suffered through a white-knuckled slippery descent down the hill. Colin Creado, who works nearby the crash site, told the CBC although it was pretty slippery, he was surprised at all the carnage since the storm was forecast well in advance. "You would have thought ... they would have salted the area or at least cordoned it off, because that road is pretty steep," he told the station.
