1989 Ford Mustang Pro Street back halved car.
This is being listed for a close friend of mine and I know the car also
The Notch was originally owned by a mutual friend, whom had it for about 3 years. Just sitting around I might add. He wanted it gone, so last fall my friend purchased it. Cleaned it up fixed a few small issues from sitting. He has now decided its time to go ( he also has a BBF powered 91 hatch Super Street -on the stop- 9.10 car, BBF bracket Maverick, and a street class bracket 93 notch ) It's time for someone else to enjoy it.
Here's what it has.
4 link
Narrowed 9" ford rear
spool
33x18.5x15 Micky Sportsmans
Ultra aluminum wheels
welded sub frame conn.
coil overs
NHRA style 6 point bar
custom made rear seat
fiberglass SVO style hood
fiberglass trunk/deck lid
fuel cell
trunk mounted battery
lisc plate flips up for laundry (chute)
new front aluminum wheels and tires less than 25 miles.
NOS Nitrous oxide systems- N20- plenum plate wet kit. FULL bottle. Looks like it was never used... just for looks I'd guess.
Cobra intake
Equal length shory's
5 lug front and rear
stock block and heads
Stock BW 5speed
Has A/C, pw pdl cc aftermarket sunroof(no leaks)
Look into adding/making a back half on any car. wheels/tires suspension etc. $10K plus!. Here the car is already done, very drivable, and close to a "clean slate" for new paint..... power plant ...BBF...or do more to this 5.0...or dare I say it...LS Turbo'd swap... skys the limit with this close to stock powertrain......
Sold "as is" NO warranty due to "hot rodding" this notchback with the backhalf pro street..

Ford's J Mays feels vindicated by Fusion reception
Tue, 25 Sep 2012It's hard to think back now, but the same man overseeing the design of the 2013 Ford Fusion also presided over a rather lackluster period in Ford design, highlighted by vehicles like the Five Hundred and Freestyle. With the redesigned Fusion receiving high praise, J Mays tells Automotive News that he feels vindicated from criticisms suggesting he's not a daring enough designer.
When Mays took over as lead of design in 1997, he admits to having quite an ego ("My head would barely fit through the door some days. I've long since gotten over myself") and the workload to match. With the Blue Oval's portfolio full of premium brands like Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo at that point, along with the bread-and-butter Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models, Mays certainly had quite the challenge.
It was in the mid-2000s that Mays took over just the premium brands, and took on the new title of Chief Creative Officer. At the time, Mays endured some criticism for looking backwards to retro styling, rather than setting a new standard for American car design - criticism that Mays says he is free from with the all-new Fusion.
Ford brings FPV Falcon production in house [w/video]
Thu, 21 Feb 2013For the first time since 1976, Ford of Australia is bringing the assembly of its stonking Ford Performance Vehicle line back in-house to the company's Broadmeadows and Geelong facilities. That's a point of pride for FPV, which builds high-performance versions of the Australian Falcon model like the F6, GS and the heroic GT seen here.
In the video below, we hear FPV employees talking in hushed tones about the important legacy that cars like the GT have for Australian gearheads of all stripes, and how proud they are to say that hand-built machines like this GT R-Spec with its Boss 355 engine are now rolling out of their home base. For our part, we're just dying to drive this version of the Coyote V8; the engine is rocking a "Miami" supercharger from Harrop and makes some 450 horsepower.
Continue on below for the video, or you can check out some images of the new FPV at the facility, as well as a gallery of the GT R-Spec car.
Jerry Seinfeld doesn't love Sarah Jessica Parker's new Country Squire in latest CiCGC
Fri, 20 Jun 2014Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee has finally returned for its fourth season of combining Jerry Seinfeld, a miscellaneous celebrity and a cup of java. But rather than fondly remembering some older piece of automotive machinery, this time around, Seinfeld is utterly unable to keep his hatred of Sarah Jessica Parker's 1976 Ford LTD Country Squire from coming out to hilarious effect.
However, Parker has such a high level of infectious enthusiasm for her recently purchased Country Squire that she seems to win over Seinfeld by the end - at least a little bit. For most of their time together, the two of them drive around Manhattan and the suburbs waxing nostalgic about what things were like when these wagons were ubiquitous.
Since this is actually SJP's car, she and Seinfeld trade off driving duties, and the image above should give you some indication of Seinfeld's reaction to the Sex and the City star behind the wheel. It seems this '70s land yacht might be a little too much for her to handle in New York traffic. Regardless, she is absolutely in love with her Ford.
