Very solid. It was always garage kept when I bought this a few months ago.Body/trunk are clean.I can't find any rust other than places under the vinyl top that are starting to bubble up.The interior is pretty nice. This car is not perfect(yet),but what needs done are weekend type things. This is a super easy resto. It runs and drives steers fine, but feels like a brake job coming on,but still stops ok for now.I take it down the road once in awhile to keep it freed up.Small things I noticed are the drivers door needs a new strike plate/shim.It's hard to close all the way.The windows need adjusted as they don't quite close all the way either and it needs the large radiator hose re-attached or replaced.I tightened the small one but there is very small drip still there.not a big deal there either.I would replace all the fluids as well.Interior wise its pretty nice. The far right dash appears to be slightly warped and the radio is missing. The seats are OK and some of the trim could use replaced over time. But its a cool headturner as-is.I get thumbs up wherever I go.The FACTORY A/C works really well!! Mileage shown is a bit over 104k.The previous owner said the motor was rebuilt about 43k miles ago and she's good to go.This is not a Barrett-Jackson show car although you can go to meets and such with a nice ride. But it's solid all around and can be driven while you make improvements. It has flat black racing stripes(on black but who knows why?) That matches the wheels.Again this can be changed when its time for a repaint(paint is ok right now).I have not owned this long, but it misses fitting in my mini garage by 1.25 inches. It's sitting outside now,but not TOO bad,it's Florida.Still I would rather this go to someone who can park her inside and keep her nice. Its dirty,I rinsed it off for the pics, but did not wash or wax it.it looks awesome when its clean and polished!!Undercarriage again is solid, see no needs there at all.Has some type of glass packs(duals) and has the old school rumble(cam???)If you have less than 20 feedbacks do not bid,it will be cancelled.I am deaf,I cannot call you, email responses only.if you need close up picks of something let me know. This is a nice example of the 1966 Mustang(Sally) in the Rascals song.Like I said EZ resto here. Its a nice driver as it sits,or you can take her all the way to show condition. The previous owner said there was no body work done EVER.Looks clean and straight to me,but I'm no body man.Do not send "offers" and I am not interested in a trade at this time. It's well worth the start price.I will answer any questions to the best of my ability, but do not ask with 10 minutes left, ask EARLY with more than 12 hours left.Questions after that won't be answered.500.00 NON refundable deposit via paypal is due within 24 hours.Balance by cashiers check only.Shipping is buyers responsibility.Do NOT make shipping arrangements until the cashiers check has been cleared and deposited.I can hold the car for as long as it takes within reason.Your bid is a contract.Ask your wife, mother, girlfriend, boss or anyone else BEFORE you bid.I will not tolerate tire kicking dreamers. Please have the funds available.I won't take less than the start price-do not ask. It's worth more than that. This is a SWEET car and an easy resto for someone with time who enjoys classic 'Stangs.I put some new gas in cause it was running a bit rough.I would reco running carb cleaner through it and filling it up with good gas lol.As far as the title,I had it but now it was misplaced over the holidays.I will continue to look for it,however,I may not find it,so it may possibly need re-titled.I will give you a bill of sale and keep looking.I put some new mats in this also, those go with the car. This is a "keeper" easy resto, nice driver as-is and you can work on it as you drive it around.Remember ask whatever questions you need to!!!! If you want to send a mechanic or buddy over to view the car that is fine, but I will not allow an Ebay inspector on my property due to a previously BAD experience,so do not request one.Sorry.

Ford recalls 434k vehicles for several unrelated issues

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

It seems that the hard winter in much of the country has been as rough on some Fords as it has on many people. The Blue Oval is recalling roughly 434,000 vehicles in two separate recalls, and one of them partially caused by the salt used to melt the snow on roads.
The first recall covers 385,750 2001-2004 Escape models in the Midwest, Northeast and Canada because a subframe could rust and eventually fail. This is partially due to the road salt used in those areas, and about 349,000 of the affected vehicles are in the US. To remedy the problem, dealers are installing a reinforcement cross brace on the frame to strengthen them. There has been one crash caused by the failure but no injuries. According to The Detroit News, this is not the first rust-related recall for Ford. It estimates the company has repaired over two million vehicles since 2010 for problems on vehicles related to the iron oxide, including the rear wheel wells of the Freestar minivan.
The second recall covers 48,950 2013-2014 Ford Fusion, Escape, C-MAX and Lincoln MKZ models because welds in their seatbacks don't meet National Highway Traffic Safety Administration standards. The fault affects the front seats, and the sub-standard welds joining the setback to the recliner could increase the chance on injury. There have been no reported injuries or accidents caused by the problem, but there are 42,972 affected vehicles in the US and 4,744 in Canada.

2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

Your Mileage May Vary
As difficult as it is to write this, I was actually excited about the 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid. With the beautiful looks of the newest midsize fighter from Ford and a fuel economy estimate capable of shaming even the stalwart Camry Hybrid, the battery-augmented four-door seemed like a recipe for unabashed success. But appearances love nothing more than swapping our boundless enthusiasm for cold platters of disappointment. The 2013 Fusion Hybrid gets hobbled right out of the gate with a lofty price tag, and real-world driving keeps the sedan from even approaching those EPA figures.
With so many excellent midsize hybrids on the market, is there any reason to consider the newest Fusion Hybrid? Are sharp aesthetics, a well-executed interior and capable driving dynamics enough to overcome the machine's shortfalls? Not from where I'm standing.
