Streator, Illinois, United States

Its the perfect time of year to own a convertible!  Here is one of the best deals out there.  I'm selling my 2004 premium Mustang GT Convertible with incredibly low miles. I've owned the car for about 4 years and have not had any problems at all.  Its simply beautiful, Well cared for, and well maintained.  I have over $7,000  in aftermarket tied up.  please take that into consideration as far as the value of the vehicle.  These pictures were taken today not 10 years ago.  That is how nice this car is.

It has a Roush stage 3 body kit and the Dual Roush exhaust.  You can see it exit just before the rear tires on the side.

There's a BBK cold air intake installed.  Many small upgrades, some you'll notice, some you wont.

Has a double din touchscreen CD/MP3/USB/ player also plays DVD's and has NAVIGATION and it is Bluetooth enabled so you can have hands free calling and stream Pandora without any cables.  It is discreetly wired from the battery to the trunk for amp and subs.

The leather is in immaculate condition, the carpet is clean, the dash is flawless.

NON smoker owned.

A/C blows cold and Heat blows hot. No check engine lights/warning lights.  Everything functions as it should.

The engine is strong and the Transmission is smooth.  No leaks from anywhere.

I put on 18" hypnotic wheels if you hate the wheels I still have the 17" Bullit wheels also.  You don't get both sets of wheels with the sale. I don't want you to love everything about this car except the wheels I put on it.  So if you want the bullits that's fine, but I keep the hypnotics.  You want the hypnotics that's fine I keep the bullits.  We can work that out when you come to pick up the car. (I Included a picture of the car with the bullit wheels, so you can see which you like best)

if you want more pictures, if you would like to come see it in person, please don't hesitate.

I only accept cash!  If you have a money order...cash it.  If you have a personal check...cash it.  If you have a certified check...cash it before you see me.  The ONLY way I will accept any bank check is if it is authorized through a LOCAL BANK of my choice. If you love this car and have to get a loan.  Your loan will be taken out through a bank that I trust, and they will tell me personally that the money is good.

I do have a clean clear Illinois title in hand and ready to sell.

Please have enough cash on hand at the time of placing your bid to cover your bid in full.  If you can't afford this car or have no intention of purchasing please don't bid

If you are going to be having inspections done, please have them done prior to placing your bid.  There is one small chip on the inside of the front passenger fender that I included a picture of.  Its not really noticeable and is a cheap touch up fix.

this car pulls a book value of almost $13,000 stock.  That does not include the $7,000 in aftermarket.  So you could be THOUSANDS of dollars ahead on your build from the start

reserve price is set lower than blue book value.  Vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.  Happy Bidding.  Payment will be required in full within 72 hours of auction ending.

My first attempt at ebay, I don't have any ratings because I don't use ebay.  Don't let that make you shy away from bidding.  I have no problem responding to emails, talking to you on the phone, in person (as long as you come to me), or text if you are hesitant.  Everyone had to start with no ebay history at some point right?

J Mays' legacy

Fri, 15 Nov 2013

Mays is by far not the first designer to use heritage design cues in his work.
The announcement that J Mays will be leaving his chief creative officer role at Ford Motor Company on January 1 ends a 13-year run in one of the industry's top design roles. While best known for having a hand in reborn classics like the Volkswagen New Beetle, Ford Mustang and Thunderbird (above), Mays' legacy is more complicated and nuanced than being considered the father of what is known as "retrofuturism".

Ford tumbles to second worst in Consumer Reports reliability survey, list dominated by Japanese [w/video]

Mon, 29 Oct 2012

It's no secret that MyFord Touch has had its share of problems since being introduced, but the most recent reliability survey from Consumer Reports shows just how much this infotainment system has affected Ford. Just two years ago, the automaker was in the top 10 for the institute's reliability rankings, but since then, it has tumbled to the second-lowest rung just above dead-last Jaguar. In addition to MyFord Touch, CR also attributes a handful of new products that have had issues right out of the gate.
Compiled from 1.2 million subscriber surveys, this year's auto reliability survey heavily favors Japanese automakers, with eight of the 10 spots hailing from Japan. Toyota brands grabbed the top three spots (Scion, Toyota and Lexus - in that order) with Mazda, Subaru, Honda and Acura filling the next four spots. The only non-Asian automaker cracking the top 10 was Audi at number eight.
Audi climbed a total of 18 spots from last year, and Cadillac and GMC round out this year's top gainers breaking into the top 15. Helping Cadillac's upward movement, the CTS Coupe was named the most reliable domestic car. Lincoln, Volvo and Chrysler join Ford on this year's biggest loser list.

Autoblog editors choose their favorite racecars of all time

Thu, Feb 26 2015

If you like cars, there is a good chance that you like racecars. There's something about the science and the art of going faster, of competition, of achievement, that accelerates the hearts of enthusiasts. It doesn't matter the series, the team or the manufacturer – there's something about racing that stirs emotions and lifts spirits. It's that way with many of you, and it's that way with our editors. With that in mind, we offer a list of our favorite racecars of all time. Of course, we'd like to hear some of yours in the comment section below. 1970 Porsche 917 Compared to some of the obscure choices by my colleagues, I feel like the Porsche 917 is almost so obvious a pick as to not be worth mentioning. Still, when coming up with my answer, my mind invariably went back to this classic racer – specifically in its blue-and-orange Gulf livery – while watching Le Mans on DVD and later Blu Ray with my dad. Long, low and curvaceous, few vehicles have ever looked sexier lapping a track than the 917. More than just a pretty face, this beauty had speed, too, thanks to several tunes of flat-12 engines over the course of its racing life. In the early '70s, Porsche was a dominant force throughout sports-car competition, and the 917 (shown above at the 1970 24 Hours of Daytona) was the tip of that spear, including back-to-back victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Largely without dialogue or really much of a traditional plot, Le Mans is like a tone poem of racing goodness. While the 917's importance to motorsports history is undoubtedly fascinating, it's still this cinematic depiction of the Porsche racer that draws me in most, especially with the volume cranked. – Chris Bruce Associate Editor 1964 Mini Cooper S How could everyone not be selecting the 1964 Mini Cooper S piloted by Paddy Hopkirk and Henry Liddon? That car, 33 EJB, took the first of British Motor Corporation's four Monte Carlo Rally wins (it should have been five, but French judges got the British Minis [and Fords] disqualified on a technicality regarding headlights... which its own car, the winning DS, was also in violation of). The tiny red car and its white roof beat out Ford Falcons, Mercedes-Benz 300SEs and scores of Volvos, Volkswagens and Saabs. This, along with the several years of dominance that followed, cemented the idea that not only could the tiny, two-tone Mini be a real performance vehicle, but that family-friendly city cars in general could be fun.
