LOW MILE CAR REFRESHED TO ORIGINAL
THREE OWNER CAR

1968 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK

ONLY 46K MILES SINCE NEW

Just arrived, this beautiful Mustang Fastback is ready for it's new owner...
The early year Fastback Mustangs are becoming increasingly hard to find,
especially unmolested, rust free examples. This car has had just three owners
over the last 45 years and was refreshed about ten years ago by Owner #3.

My shop has gone thru all the mechanicals and the car is ready to drive.
This is the best color combination and will draw attention wherever you go.

There was a new dual stage repaint in the factory Candyapple Red. The paint is
very presentable, but there were some areas of improper prep which have caused
some paint imperfections under close examination. If there is a desire for us to
completely repaint the car in a new, excellent dual stage repaint, that can be
arranged as part of the purchase. Call to discuss the details.
This is one of the best color combinations on the early Mustangs...

The interior of the car is also new, correct White bucket seats, door panels,
and carpet were installed... The original dash pad is warped and we have a
new one on order. We will include the original with the purchase...

Very nice chrome
and stainless trim throughout.

Equipped with the factory 289 V-8 engine
and
original automatic transmission...

Factory power steering and brakes !!!

Original wire wheel covers and bias whitewall tires

Garage kept, pampered, and serviced, this car could not be nicer.

This car has been refreshed, detailed and ready to drive or show.

2015 Gordon McCall's Motorworks Revival

Thu, Aug 13 2015

Considered the big kick off of the major festivities surrounding Monterey Car Week, this year's Gordon McCall's Motorworks Revival certainly didn't disappoint. For those unable to make it to the California coast, our own Drew Phillips was on hand to snap some of the beautiful vehicles on display for this gorgeous gallery. Held annually at the Monterey Jet Center, the event is always a feast for the eyes by collecting planes, a gang of exotic supercars, and some the top cars crossing the auction block over the coming days, like a Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda convertible. The Ford GT both new and old was a major attendee at this year's party. Among them, the Petersen Museum brought along an original racecar and a GT40 MKIII to promote an upcoming exhibit. The classics were complimented by the latest version that has continued to keep tongues wagging. The GT wasn't the only classic with a modern update there. Singer used the posh event for the North American debut of its stunning restoration of the Porsche 911 Targa. Shelby American was also at the revival for the public unveiling of the 50th Anniversary Daytona Coupe. On the more modern front, Honda was in attendance with the future NSX and one of the McLaren F1 cars that the company's engine powers. For further proof of the ritzy folks that attend this soiree, Pagani and Koenigsegg both had stands to show off their extremely quick wares.

1969 Ford Talladega GPT Special is a SEMA showstopper

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

Rad Rides by Troy has unleashed upon the SEMA crowds this custom 1969 Ford Torino Talladega GT Special, and it's a beauty. The car calls to mind the classic Holman Moody stock cars that circled NASCAR tracks in the late 1960's, driven by the likes of Mario Andretti, Dan Gurney and David Pearson, who won the Grand National title in both 1968 and '69 in a Ford Torino.
Even though it has plenty of stock-car influence, there's nothing retro about the car's design or powertrain, other than the fact that the engine is based on a Ford Boss 429 block. Fuel injection, aftermarket aluminum heads and a high-tech custom computer system combine to send 750 reliable ponies to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. Brakes measure 14-inches all around, with six-piston Wilwood calipers up front and four-piston units out back.
There's custom bodywork abound, painted in a two-tone Tennessee Whiskey Gold and Daytona Sand finish. Check out all the amazing details in the image gallery below, and scroll down to read all about it in designer Troy Trepanier's own words.

Ford opens the doors on its Swedish rally skunkworks

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

It's always amazing to see how different kinds of racecars are made. Formula One racers are often constructed in modern architectural marvels that hint at some of the cutting-edge technology going into the racing. Conversely, rallying is all about sliding around on a varied course as fast as possible, but it often leaves a vehicle caked in mud. So it makes some sense Olsbergs MSE, or simply (OMSE) rally car shop in Nynashamn, Sweden, shows technological sophistication in a more down-to-earth setting. It builds Ford Fiesta ST racers for Global Rallycross there, and this new video gives viewers a tour through the work.
Former rally driver Andreas Eriksson runs OMSE. These days instead of racing, he and the company's 46 employees are building Ford racers from scratch. A ton of work goes into constructing each one, and according to Eriksson, it takes 400 hours to complete each body. At times, things are so busy that some of the technicians live in the shop in apartments that are on premises. There's even a restaurant to keep them fed. Sadly the dyno room is empty during this visit, though.
By the time OMSE is done, a rallycross car might resemble a Fiesta ST on the outside, but as you see in the video, it's a completely different beast underneath. Check out the work it takes to build one of them, and scroll down to read more about it in the official release.
