This mustang has been owned by the same family since 1993. Last registered and driven in 1998 when it was parked with blown head gasket or cracked head on the original 2.3L SOHC 4 cylinder engine which caused it to overheat. It still ran when it was parked. It has been in clean and dry storage since 1998. I purchased a 302 and 4 speed to install and have never gotten around to making the swap. These items are included in this auction and are as pictured. The transmission is a C 2604194 4 speed top loader. The engine has a hot cam (don't know the specs) shortie headers and an air gap intake. They were in good operating condition when pulled from another fox body mustang. I have too many projects in front of it and it is too good to just part out. One small rust spot on trunk lid and only a couple of minor dings. Needs new upholstery and paint. Top is good. It is all there and will be an easy project for someone to complete as all parts for these cars are readily available. The two rear tires have dry rotted and I will replace them with used tires for easy transport.
The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars
Wed, 30 Jul 2014The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
Ford finally issues recall for 230K minivans over rust problems
Sun, 10 Mar 2013The rust issue in the rear wheel wells of 2004-2007 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans has finally led to a recall. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began an investigation into the matter in 2011, said investigation being upgraded to an engineering analysis a year later while NHTSA tried to figure out how many model years should be included in the assessment.
Ford has decided to recall all of the 230,000 minivans potentially affected, namely those sold in salt-belt states and countries like Canada. The excess rust in the rear wheel wells was also able to prevent the third-row seats from locking to the floor of the minivan. To repair the problem, owners can take their minivans to dealers, and the dealers will place new panels in the wheel wells, replace the third-row seat mounting brackets and relocate the latches to an area away from any corrosion.
Ford says it will begin notifying owners during the last week of March.
