2013 Ford Mustang V6 Premium, Performance Pkg., 6-speed Manual on 2040-cars
Rochester, New York, United States
You are looking at a sweet 2013 Ford Mustang V6 Premium model equipped with the V6 Performance Package. I picked this car up brand-new in August 2012 from Van Bortel Ford near Rochester, NY after ordering it from the factory. It has only 15,131 miles and still has plenty of the factory 3/36,000 bumper-to-bumper and 5/60,000 powertrain warranties left. It's a wonderful car to drive with the 305-hp 3.7 liter six, a crisp 6-speed manual, and the performance package goodies. The performance package included 3.31 rear gears, 19" wheels with Perelli P-Zero performance tires, blacked-out side mirrors, a front strut tower brace, performance-oriented stability control programming, GT suspension components, and upgraded brake calipers. I also added an Airaid cold-air intake and an SR Performance shifter which were fantastic upgrades, but I can put these items back to the stock airbox and shifter if the buyer prefers. It has been given the full Ziebart rust treatment which includes undercoating and treatment of all body seams and voids that are susceptible to rust. It has the factory Shaker sound system with SYNC, and also has the small configurable color display between the main gauges. A gorgeous car and a great daily driver!

Ford C-Max, Fusion hybrids subject of MPG lawsuit in California
Fri, 01 Mar 2013A California lawsuit over the fuel economy claims for the 2013 Ford C-Max was first reported back in December. Based on the numerous reports we've heard of disgruntled owners failing to get their car's EPA fuel economy ratings on the C-Max and 2013 Fusion Hybrid, we suspected there would be more to this story. The Detroit News is reporting that two California law firms are combining their lawsuits against Ford on this matter for "false and misleading" claims.
The article states that there are hundreds of C-Max and Fusion Hybrid owners who have joined the lawsuit, but the issue isn't limited to customers. In December, Consumer Reports extensively tested both the Fusion Hybrid and C-Max and found that both hybrids performed significantly worse than their EPA claims. This all comes just a few months after Hyundai and Kia took the unprecedented step of lowering the fuel economy ratings for all of their 2012 and 2013 model-year vehicles.
NHTSA and Ford investigating steering issues in Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and Marauder
Fri, 11 Jul 2014There may be more steering woes for the Ford Crown Victoria. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary evaluation into the Crown Vic and Mercury Grand Marquis from the 2004 to 2007 model years and the Mercury Marauder for the 2004 and 2005 model years because the steering shaft can jam. The issue could potentially affect an estimated 500,000 vehicles.
According to the regulator, there is a possibility that the driver's side heat shield for the exhaust manifold can rust, dislodge, and then wedge into the steering shaft. If this occurs, it leads to a situation where the driver can no longer control the car.
NHTSA has received five complaints of this happening, including one alleged case with an injury. In that situation, the car was driving onto the highway, lost control and rolled over. One occupant was hurt in the accident.
