Thanks for looking at my listing. I am the second owner of this 2011 Premium Mustang GT 5.0 with 26,053 miles. Please feel free to run a carfax as you will find a clean accident free report. I have truly enjoyed owning this car, but it is a third vehicle, and I simply don't drive it as much as I would like which is the reason for selling.

Here are the factory options which can be verified by the pictures, the picture of the window sticker, and independently by providing a dealer with the VIN, and they can verify all options:

-Electronics Package including navigation;
-Brembo Brakes Package;
-Comfort Package including heated seats;
-Security Package;
-HID Headlamps;
-Rear video camera;

After market upgrades (installed by previous owner, but work flawlessly in my opinion):
-Steel braided clutch line. The stock line didn't feed enough fluid to the hydraulic clutch system leaving it spongy at times. This line supposedly corrects that. I can confirm it isn't spongy now, but I never had the car without the line.
-Magnaflow catback exhaust;
-Stainless works X-pipe (the stock cats are still on the car then the stainless works X-pipe connects to the Magnaflow mid length pipes all the way to the Magnaflow mufflers.
Rear suspension upgrades (I have been told these are to help reduce rear wheel hop, and keep the power to the ground instead of spinning or hopping when you start fast from a stop):
-S&W racecars adjustable upper control arm;
-UPR billet lower control arms;
-CHE lower control arm relocation brackets;

Everything else on the car is stock. No modifications to the engine at all.

Title
Please note the title is clear as far as accidents or anything like that, but there is a bank lien on the title as I have an outstanding loan that I will payoff upon successful auction. I will work with the buyer to either go to the bank together (if buyer is local), or provide a non-local buyer with the bank phone number, my loan account etc so that the buyer can deal directly with the bank to pay them the balance of the loan and receive the lien release as opposed to having a buyer worry about making payment to me and then having me pay the bank. I want all potential buyers to know that I will do whatever will make you comfortable in terms of payment to the bank to receive the lien release. I live in NY so I have the title in my possession which I can FedEx upon payment clearing, but in NY the title lists the bank lien directly on the face of the title so you will need the bank's lien release plus the title I have to register in your state.

Shipping
If the Buy it Now option is used, I will contribute $500 towards shipping (if you are local and use Buy It Now, I will take $500 off if you pick it up). As mentioned, I am the second owner of this vehicle. I had it shipped to 11754 from Wisconsin and it cost me $650. I am just providing that info as a frame of reference so that you can see I will be covering the vast majority of the cost to ship if Buy it Now is used.

Please call/text my cell phone 516-457-9782 if you would like any other pictures, or have any other questions at all.

Thanks,
Mike

Ford GT gets sexy shape and EcoBoost power [w/videos]

Mon, Jan 12 2015

American automakers make vehicles of all shapes and sizes, but the one thing they almost invariably share in common is their front-engine layout. Niche offerings from the likes of SSC, Saleen and Vector (and the almost anecdotal Pontiac Fiero) aside, the most notable exception has been the Ford GT. And now it's back. Launched on the floor of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, the new Ford GT picks up where the last one left off the better part of a decade ago – similarly taking its cues from the original, Le Mans-winning GT40, but in a less retro, more modern form. Instead of the atmospheric V8 in the original or the supercharged one in the retro revival, the new GT packs a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 nestled in the middle of its wheelbase and driving "more than 600 horsepower" to the rear wheels. Although Ford hasn't revealed the specific output or performance figures, it says the engine – derived from its Daytona Prototype unit and mated to a seven-speed DCT – is its most powerful production EcoBoost ever. Fortunately it's got carbon-ceramic brakes to keep it all in check, packed into 20-inch wheels wearing Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 rubber. The discs aren't all that's made from carbon on the new Ford GT, though: it's built around a carbon monocoque with structural carbon-fiber body panels, but with aluminum sub-frames front and back. Ford designed the new GT with a narrower canopy than its predecessors, cutting the frontal aerodynamic profile and tapering towards the back. It's also equipped with active aero elements including an active rear wing. Upwards swinging doors ought to make ingress and egress easier to and from the cockpit that's fitted with fixed seats, adjustable pedals and F1-style steering wheel and a fully digital instrument cluster. The new GT is set to enter production next year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the GT40's famous 1-2-3 finish at the 1966 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. By the time it does, we're sure Ford will let us know just how fast America's newest supercar will be.

Bring back the Bronco! Trademarks we hope are actually (someday) future car names

Tue, Mar 17 2015

Trademark filings are the tea leaves of the auto industry. Read them carefully – and interpret them correctly – and you might be previewing an automaker's future product plans. Yes, they're routinely filed to maintain the rights to an iconic name. And sometimes they're only for toys and clothing. But not always. Sometimes, the truth is right in front of us. The trademark is required because a company actually wants to use the name on a new car. With that in mind, here's a list of intriguing trademark filings we want to see go from paperwork to production reality. Trademark: Bronco Company: Ford Previous Use: The Bronco was a long-running SUV that lived from 1966-1996. It's one of America's original SUVs and was responsible for the increased popularity of the segment. Still, it's best known as O.J. Simpson's would-be getaway car. We think: The Bronco was an icon. Everyone seems to want a Wrangler-fighter – Ford used to have a good one. Enough time has passed that the O.J. police chase isn't the immediate image conjured by the Bronco anymore. Even if we're doing a wish list in no particular order, the Bronco still finds its way to the top. For now (unfortunately), it's just federal paperwork. Rumors on this one can get especially heated. The official word from a Ford spokesman is: "Companies renew trademark filings to maintain ownership and control of the mark, even if it is not currently used. Ford values the iconic Bronco name and history." Trademarks: Aviator, AV8R Company: Ford Previous Use: The Aviator was one of the shortest-run Lincolns ever, lasting for the 2003-2005 model years. It never found the sales success of the Ford Explorer, with which it shared a platform. We Think: The Aviator name no longer fits with Lincoln's naming nomenclature. Too bad, it's better than any other name Lincoln currently uses, save for its former big brother, the Navigator. Perhaps we're barking up the wrong tree, though. Ford has made several customized, aviation themed-Mustangs in the past, including one called the Mustang AV8R in 2008, which had cues from the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter jet. It sold for $500,000 at auction, and the glass roof – which is reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit – helped Ford popularize the feature. Trademark: EcoBeast Company: Ford Previous Use: None by major carmakers.

Autocar pits Formula Ford against Germany's finest

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Ford has quite the racing pedigree, but usually, its racers are relegated to the track. Not the new Formula Ford EcoBoost, though. It's a turbocharged, open-wheeled racer complete with a 200-horsepower, 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine... and it's legal on the roads of the UK.
That's stressed in this video from Autocar, with the mag going so far as to show the car's tax disc and license plates. Being a road-legal offering, it's tempting to see just how well an open-wheeler that delivers racecar-like performance while also netting over 100 miles per gallon (assume this is on the British cycle, for obvious reasons) stacks up against modern performance cars.
Autocar lined up the Formula Ford against an Audi R8 V10, a BMW M6 Gran Coupe and a Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG in a number of situations to see which would come out on top. Take a look below for the full video.
