I'm selling my 2011 V6 Mustang with 6-speed manual transmission in Sterling Gray Metallic with full black leather interior. 305HP+ and up to 30 MPG! I bought it brand new from Cloninger Ford in Salisbury, and I've owned it for 2.5 years. I have all maintenance/service receipts from new and all books and manuals. (Oil changes every 5k at Huntersville Ford.) I even have the original window sticker and 2011 Mustang sales brochure. Always adult-driven and very well maintained by a true automobile enthusiast. Never raced or tracked. Never abused. Never smoked in. No accidents, one-owner, clean Carfax. Still has full bumper-to-bumper Ford factory warranty until January, 2014 or until 36k miles. Powertrain warranty is good for 5 years or 60k miles. This car is like new both inside and out! I have completed several tasteful upgrades with all Ford OEM parts including many appearance package upgrades from the California Special, Shelby GT500, Roush and 5.0 GT. Options include Ford 3:55 rear gear, Ford cat-back dual exhaust, Black-glossy 19" Ford (Brembo package) wheels, Boss 302 suede steering wheel, Shelby-style "Powered By Ford" fender badges, full interior leather, and more. I'm located in Huntersville, NC very close to I-77 and near Charlotte, NC. Detroit 3 and UAW could create healthcare pool

Thu, Sep 3 2015

Healthcare costs continue to multiply in the US with no clear end in sight, but the United Auto Workers and the Big Three are negotiating a way to rapid growth under control. As part of the latest contract talks, the union has an idea to create a healthcare pool across all of its members at Ford, General Motors, and FCA US. If accepted, the company-wide integration would spread out the expenses and create a massive member base for bargaining with insurance companies. Both Ford and GM are at least considering the proposal, according to The Detroit News, and FCA US might be on board, as well. The idea is the work of current UAW president Dennis Williams and is based on the similar pool for the Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association for retirees. "I've walked through this several ways; I just don't have any other answer," Williams said to The Detroit News. "I do believe this will work. It's worked with the VEBA." Williams was elected UAW president last year and won by an overwhelming margin. He vowed no more concessions to automakers. In addition to healthcare, the two-tier wage system is another major talking point in the contract negotiation because it gives fewer benefits to entry-level workers. Higher wages are also a request. Healthcare costs are a massive expense for automakers and are expected to reach over $2 billion this year, according to The Detroit News. The payments are up nearly 50 percent or more in just the last four years.

Ford, GM to collaborate on 9- and 10-speed transmissions

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

Back in October, there were reports that General Motors and Ford Motor Company were hard at work co-developing new nine- and ten-speed automatic transmissions, and now both automakers have confirmed this joint operation. While there are no specific vehicles mentioned to receive either transmission, a collaborative press release issued by GM and Ford mention that the transmission will be designed for front- and rear-wheel-drive cars, crossovers, trucks and SUVs.
These aren't the first powertrain components developed jointly between these cross-town rivals, either. The six-speed automatic currently used in vehicles like the Ford Edge, Ford Fusion, Chevrolet Cruze and Chevrolet Equinox was engineered in a similar fashion. As is the case with this existing transmission, both automakers will assist in the design, development and testing of the new transmissions, but each will build its own units in its own factories. Scroll down for the official press release.

V6 engines will outpace V8s for the 2015 Ford F-150

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

How times have changed. Even five years ago, who would have thought the mighty V8 would be just another engine choice for buyers of the 2015 Ford F-150?
Ford is projecting about 28 percent of the next-generation trucks will have the 5.0-liter V8. That's nothing to sneeze at, but consider this: Ford figures its two EcoBoost truck engines - the new 2.7-liter V6 and the existing 3.5-liter V6 - will also each account for about 28 percent of the F-150's sales (56 percent total). That leaves only 15 percent of the pie for the 3.5-liter (non-EcoBoost) V6. The new F-150 goes on sale late this year.
