2009 Mustang GT 5-spd Manual Transmission, Brilliant Silver, Black leather Interior, with 42,207 Miles

I’m listing this car only to see if there is any interest in someone wanting the car.  I originally bought the car in April 2013 as a project car to fix up over the winter.  I have ran out of time and current job has me relocating soon so I need to possibly get rid of the car.  It has a WV salvage title which was converted over from a Maine Salvage title when I bought the car.  The car had original front end damage from what looks like a telephone or tree. The airbags were deployed on the driver’s side, not the passenger’s.  I have bought many parts and will list what I have bought and will be included in the price.  The car starts up and runs fine, when I bought if they drove off of their trailer and onto mine.  I drove it into the garage and have had it on jack stands ever since.  I start the car every two weeks and allow it to run just to make sure it still does.

I don’t know a lot about cars and this has been a challenge trying to get the parts and bolts back together.  If you have any questions please email me and I’ll answer to the best I can.  If you need additional pictures email me and I’ll get as soon as I can.

Bought:

New Battery

Driver’s side airbag

Clock spring

Serpentine Belt (AR3Z8620A)

Driver’s and Passenger’s Fender’s (Driver side has a dent and will need replaced or repaired)

Front Bumper Cover

Things that I know will need done or bought:

Paint the Hood, Fenders, and front bumper cover

Head lights

Fog Lights

Wiring the front end because some wires are bare from the accident

Windshield needs replaced

Back bumper’s paint is pealing

Clean the inside of the car

This is not a complete list just things I know needs done.

Overall a person that knows what they are doing can have on the road in no time.  There was previous work done to the car before I got it so I don’t know what they did, I just know what I have done and it was replace parts.  The profile picture is what the car looked like when the previous owner had it.

On Sep-17-14 at 08:18:34 PDT, seller added the following information:

Many of the new parts are installed but others are not like the airbag and clock spring are in a box and will be included in the sale of the car. Just ask if you have any questions about a certain part or item. Thank you

Detroit automakers mulling helping DIA avoid bankruptcy looting

Tue, 13 May 2014

It's not really a secret that the city of Detroit is in lots and lots of trouble. Even with an emergency manager working to guide it through bankruptcy, a number of the city's institutions remain in very serious danger. One of the most notable is the Detroit Institute of Arts, a 658,000-square-foot behemoth of art that counts works from Van Gogh, Picasso, Gauguin and Rembrandt (not to mention a version of Rodin's iconic "The Thinker," shown above) as part of its permanent collection.
Throughout the bankruptcy, the DIA has been under threat, with art enthusiasts, historians and fans of the museum concerned that its expansive collection - valued between $454 and $867 million by Christie's - could be sold by the city to help square its $18.5-billion debt.
Now, though, Detroit's hometown automakers could be set to step up and help save the renowned museum. According to a report from The Detroit News, the charitable arms of General Motors, Ford and Chrysler could be set to donate $25 million as part of a DIA-initiated campaign, called the "grand bargain." As part of the deal, the DIA would seek $100 million in corporate donations as part of a larger attempt at putting together an $816-million package that would be paid to city pension funds over 20 years. Such a move would protect the city's art collection from being sold off.

Jay Leno takes a Surfin' Safari in a 1937 Ford Woodie Restomod

Tue, 21 Oct 2014

Woodie wagons were a major part of surfing culture in the 1960s, offering coastal style and a ton of room, and they even earned a mention in the Beach Boys' classic song Surfin' Safari. This week, Jay Leno's Garage takes a look at two modern, restomodded examples of these style icons.
Unlike a lot of restomods, builder Scott Bonowski keeps these wagons looking almost completely stock on the outside, and all of the upgrades are hidden underneath the timber. You can't tell by looking at it, but the '37 Woodie (pictured above) has independent front and rear suspension, disc brakes and a Ford 5.0-liter V8 under the hood.
Beyond the mechanical aspect, the craftsmanship into the wood is astounding. Bonowski claims there are between 30 and 50 coats of varnish on this wagon. It makes these woodies as much of a piece of fine furniture as a vehicle to drive.

Curtain officially comes down on Mercury as dealers remove signage

Mon, 03 Jan 2011

The process of shutting down the Mercury is complete. Ford officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010. In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September. The last Mercury, a Mariner, rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job. Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.
