This 2008 Shelby GT500 convertible is one of less than 200 produced in Vista blue for 2008. This Shelby has 51,467 miles on it and has been well cared for. I have upgraded the Shelby with a 3inch Magna Flow exhaust, chrome Shelby razor wheels, Barton billet shifter, 2013 OEM Ford carbon fiber one piece driveshaft, 2013 Mustang style LED tail lights with blackout panel, Shelby caster camber plates, Shelby billet sway bar end links, eurathane sway bar bushings, Shelby tubular front lower control arms and Michilen Pilot A/S 3 tires (less than 4K miles on them). I have stored the SHELBY inside the entire time I have owned it and always changed the oil with Motorcraft 5W50 as speced by Ford (changed every 6 months regardless of mileage). I prefer the look of the Shelby without stripes so the white stripes were removed from the Shelby and the billet Shelby GT500 emblems were added to the snake emblems to identify this Shelby as the GT 500 it is. The Shelby is equipped with the Shaker 1000 stereo system with six disc in dash CD changer and the HID head lights.

Toyota sells six of 10 of hybrids in California
Wed, 31 Jul 2013In an apparent shot back at Ford's increasing market share of electrified vehicles and claim that it accepts more Prius trade-ins for its own hybrids than any other car, Toyota has flexed a muscle and played the numbers game to put the Blue Oval in its place.
Leaning on its hybrid market dominance in California, the Japanese automaker stated that six out of 10 hybrids sold in the Golden State are Toyota models. And it keeps coming: Year-to-date through May 2013, Toyota sold five times more hybrids than Ford. One of every two hybrids in California is a Prius model. In addition, Toyota notes that it has sold 1.5 million Prius vehicles in the US, 90-percent of which are still on the road today.

Ford using robot drivers to test durability [w/video]
Sun, 16 Jun 2013In testing the durability of its upcoming fullsize Transit vans, Ford has begun using autonomous robotic technology to pilot vehicles through the punishing courses of its Michigan Proving Grounds test facility. The autonomous tech allows Ford to run more durability tests in a single day than it could with human drivers, as well as create even more challenging tests that wouldn't be safe to run with a human behind the wheel.
The technology being used was developed by Utah-based Autonomous Solutions, and isn't quite like the totally autonomous vehicles being developed by companies like Google and Audi for use out in the real world. Rather, Ford's autonomous test vehicles follow a pre-programmed course and their position is tracked via GPS and cameras that are being monitored from a central control room. Though the route is predetermined, the robotic control module operates the steering, acceleration and braking to keep the vehicle on course as it drives over broken concrete, cobblestones, metal grates, rough gravel, mud pits and oversize speed bumps.
