2007 Ford Mustang 2dr , LOADED and NICE.
Here we have a nice, REBUILT Mustang. It has the Pony package, Shaker sound system, color changing factory gauge package, key-less entry, leather power seats, aftermarket flowmaster dual stainless exhaust, professionally tinted windows, racing stripes, upgraded air intake, and it is very clean.
A honest assessment of this car:
The Good:
Reserve is 1/2 the blue book on this vehicle.
It is rebuilt, but runs great with no mechanical problems noted.
Super low miles
Its a good looking car
Good----or Bad, Depending: This car has a aftermarket flow-master type stainless steel dual exhaust and air intake. My local exhaust guy said for about $300.00 it can be put back to stock.....it is loud and not my personal thing....but if you like this type of thing its a quality system installed right. To do it would cost about a grand....so Im leaving it on. Just covering all the bases on this car.
The Bad:
Rear drivers side wheel needs replaced (it hold air fine, but has a noticeable "chunk" out of the wheel.
The windshield washer nozzles on the hood need re-installed (parts are included)
Rocker panel trim on the drivers side is missing.
Small "parking lot" ding on drivers side door, and both rear quarter panels. (very light)
Front air dam, normal rock chips, nothing major.
Air bag light is on.
CD Changer will not load.
I know I'm listing a lot here, but want all possible defects and problems covered. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
It has a Indiana title stamped rebuilt. Because of this the mileage is listed not actual. If you look at the Auto Check data you can see its original mileage. In Indiana the mileage is listed as not actual as default on rebuilt and mechanics lien vehicles.
I really like this car....but with 2 young kids its impractical for me. You can save a LOT of money on this if the rebuilt part doesn't bother you. I have personally owned 4 rebuilt vehicles and had zero issues, even borrowed money on them if need be.
Check it out.....

Mustang GT350 reveal coming Nov 17?
Mon, 03 Nov 2014Ford looks to have something really big planned for the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Blue Oval has released the first of five teaser videos on the brand's performance heritage, and aside from some great images of racers over the years, the video includes a series of teaser images, the last of which points to November 17, 2014.
That's the day before press days open in LA, and considering the propensity of global automakers to plan lavish debuts the night before a major international auto show, it's a virtual certainty that Ford will be showing off some sort of special vehicle.
That'd be news in and of itself, but based on the images shown in Ford's teaser video - which include an Alcantara steering wheel, a "Powered by Ford" valve cover, aluminum pedals, sticky tires, a big, round exhaust tip, a honeycomb grille and a serious set of wheels - it seems very likely that Ford will be showing something performance oriented.
UK's Loughborough University improving Ford's 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine
Wed, May 21 2014How much does it cost for college students to study zero emissions vehicles? At Loughborough University in the UK, a new Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) is being built at a cost of a billion pounds ($1.7 billion US). The school has just announce that it will fund a number of grad student positions and is creating a new Chair in Advanced Propulsion Systems, which sounds like a fun job to us. We're weird like that. There will be a total of four professor-type positions in the new Center, including the chair, all focused on teaching students about low-carbon vehicle technologies, specifically electric and hybrid ones. The school is investing 1.5 million pounds ($2.5 million) for the new positions. There is a bigger picture as well, a 26-million pound ($44 million) Advanced Combustion Turbocharged Integrated Variable-valvetrain Engine (ACTIVE) project, which uses funds not only from the school but also from Ford and others. The point of ACTIVE is to study Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine and "improve further its efficiency and ensure it exceeds 2020 emission regulations." This is already a popular engine for the automaker, and it will need to stay at the bleeding edge of efficiency to remain as important in 2020 as it is today. Loughborough University has been working with automakers on advanced energy technologies for years, for example with Rolls-Royce and fuel cells in 2007 and the Lotus Hotfire engine in 2008. University invests GBP1.5M in advanced propulsion research to advance zero emissions vehicles challenge Loughborough University is investing GBP1.5M over five years in strategic research appointments, inspired by the global challenge to develop the new advanced propulsion technologies required for the move to zero emission vehicles. These appointments reinforce the University's world-class research in low-carbon vehicle technologies, adding new dimensions concerned with electric and hybrid drives. Four appointments will be made, including a Chair in Advanced Propulsion Systems, supported by a number of PhD studentships. The GBP1.5M investment is part of the University's commitment to the recently announced Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) to support the development of new supply chains for low carbon vehicles. APC is an initiative established by the Automotive Council that will see GBP1 billion of investment from government and industry over the next 10 years.
Toyota, Ford decide to end hybrid collaboration before it starts
Tue, 23 Jul 2013Not all so-called Memorandum of Understanding pacts end in actual collaborations. For instance, after a two-year "feasibility study," Toyota and Ford have just announced that they will not be developing hybrid systems for use in light trucks and SUVs as previously planned, and the two automakers will instead continue to develop their own hybrid technology independently.
The would-be collaboration was first announced in August of 2011, and would have seen a rear-wheel-drive hybrid platform that would "improve the efficiency of trucks and SUVs while still allowing them to be driven in the way customers expect," according to our initial post on the topic.
Keep in mind that this announcement isn't to say we shouldn't expect hybrid pickups and SUVs from the two automakers, but that they probably aren't coming very soon - Ford says it will have a system "before the end of this decade" and we haven't heard much from Toyota on the hybrid truck front since the 2008 A-BAT Concept (pictured above) - and that they will not share any components between them (and they never have, for what it's worth).
