It is with great reluctance that I must sell my beloved 2005 Mustang GT. I purchased this vehicle almost 5 years ago, after seeing the Performance White paint pop with those Guardsman Blue PAINTED ON stripes looking back at me. It simply reminded me of the first Mustang that I had which I sold when I joined the Army a VERY  long time ago. Needless to say, I have tried to take care of it as best I can. The reason I am selling it is because I am the proud owner of a titanium rod and three titanium discs in the cervical portion of my neck, C3-C7 to be exact thanks to a drunk/drugged driver. If anyone knows Mustangs they know that they are just naturally low to the ground. This along with the low roof line makes it very uncomfortable for me to enter and exit the car with MY new hardware.

As I said earlier I have tried to take care of her as best as I can. There are a few chips in the paint on the hood in the stripes as you can see in the picture and one on the right rear quarter. There are two dings that have been on the vehicle since I have owned it, one on the passenger side door, the other just above the drivers side door. The interior is simply awesome as you can see in the pictures. I added a few interior items like the chrome shifter, GT logo lighter plug, GT logo chrome transmission shifter plate, horse and bar carpets, not to mention the radio, an AlPINE CDE124sxm. In regards to the radio, the winning bidder will also have included with the sale the remainder of the XM subscription which expires in September 2013 at no cost to them. Other than that there is absolutely no interior modifications.
In regards to the drivetrain, the only modifications I made are the following: BBK Twin 62mm Throttle Body, BBK Cold Air Intake, Engine Plenum Cover, Fuel Rail Covers, MMD Bolt On Hood Struts, Bassani Axle Back Exhaust, 14"Short Antenna. That's it.These are all bolt on items too. You may notice the rear lights, third brake light, and rear quarter side markers are tinted. These are done utilizing Night Shade tinting. This is not a decal and can not be removed. Basically it's painted on but still visible. In regards to the rear lights I have also installed Raxiom Sequential Turn Signals as well. The good thing about the stuff I added on is that I still have all of the factory original equipment that was removed.Basically if you do not like what is on there you can remove it and go back to stock. Like I said everything is bolt on. No mechanics needed.
This car is truly a pleasure to drive. Basically nothing beats the sound of an American V8. And this car definitely personifies that belief. That, along with it's sharp looks makes this an eye turner where ever you may go. If you don't like having people compliment you on your car and striking up conversations when they see this car, then this car is not for you. Ford really hit the mark when they redesigned the Mustang in 2005.
In regards to the mileage this was for the past 5 years merely a weekend car for my family and I to enjoy. Yes I said my family and I. This is an adult owned, maintained, and driven car. I have only started driving it more and more again recently because I sold my other car, which I had the same problem with getting in and out of, faster than I had expected. Fluids have been changed every 3,000 miles. The radiator was flushed just last year. Brakes have been done. Tires have maybe, 10,000 miles on them. I really hate to see this car leave but hopefully she will bring as much of a smile to someone else's face as she has to mine every time I sat behind the wheel. My reserve is set below Blue Book value and definitely fair in that respect. Good Luck Bidding.

Please ask any questions that you may have before bidding. I will do my best to answer them. PLEASE!!! Bid ONLY if you are serious about buying this vehicle. I will report non paying bidders to eBay. 2016 Ford Focus RS shows up in Geneva, still bound for America [w/video]

Tue, Mar 3 2015

Representing the super-hot hatchback movement at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, we have the 2015 Ford Focus RS, the third-generation to wear the performance-focused designation. Bound for America for the first time, it's fair to say we're darn excited for the Focus RS and its 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder. With at least 315 horsepower under the hood and the long-awaited inclusion of an all-wheel-drive system, there's little arguing that the RS will be seriously quick off the line. It should be darn good through the bends, too. The all-wheel-drive system packs a Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control system that sends up to 70 percent of the power to the rear axle. On top of the AWD's torque vectoring ability, the Focus RS adds a brake-based torque vectoring system, which transfers power laterally, as needed. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires should only help keep the RS glued to the tarmac. A three-pedal setup is the sole transmission option, which should delight purists. According to Ford, both the clutch and the trans itself have been bolstered to handle the 2.3-liter's power. Ford also comprehensively upgraded the looks of the Focus RS relative to the lesser Focus ST. Its enormous rear wing and the back bumper's rear diffuser complement the car's menacing face. The ST's center-exit exhaust has been ditched for a meaty set of pipes, while the car on display in Geneva shows off a different set of alloys than what we saw during the car's original debut. Check out our full gallery of live photos of this hot Ford, available up top. And be sure to check out our Short Cut of the new hot hatch by scrolling down. All-New Ford Focus RS; High-Performance Hatch with Innovative All-Wheel Drive Set for U.S. Debut - Third-generation Ford Focus RS will be available in major markets around the world and for the first time in the United States; Focus RS follows the reveal last month of the new Ford GT supercar – a new era of Ford performance that will deliver 12 new vehicles by 2020 - All-new Ford Performance All-Wheel Drive with Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control paired with a powerful 2.3-liter EcoBoost® four-cylinder engine will provide impressive performance - Aggressive, functional design inside and out makes Focus RS the most powerful production Focus ever, with highly capable performance on both road and track - Professional rally driver and star of Gymkhana films Ken Block teamed with Ford as a consultant on development of Focus RS Cologne, Germany, Feb.

Ford says utility vehicles are key to global growth

Tue, 26 Nov 2013

While most of us believe that small, fuel efficient cars are the key to global expansion for US automakers, Jim Farley, Ford's vice president of Global Marketing, thinks otherwise. Last week, we attended an exclusive sneak preview of the Ford Edge Concept in advance of the Los Angeles Auto Show, and Farley told us that it's actually utility vehicles that will help the Blue Oval gain market share overseas. "There is no other segment in our industry that is growing like utilities," he said. "We expect over the next five years this full family of [utility] vehicles to really drive our growth as a company."
And Farley has the numbers to back it up, too. Ford projects overall automotive sales to grow 23 percent from 2012 to 2017, but the company's utility vehicles are expected to boom by an impressive 41 percent during that same period. Much of that growth will be in China, where Ford estimates its utility sales will explode. "The biggest opportunity for us globally for utilities is in China," Farley said. "China utility growth is expected to more than double from where it is today to 2017, which isn't that far away." Most astounding is that Ford projects its own utility sales in China will eventually increase by more than 2,000 percent when smaller crossovers, such as the EcoSport and Kuga (sold as the Escape in North America), and the Edge and Explorer, are factored in.
Ford's VP also expects utilities to lead the way in the struggling European market. "With all the difficulties of the European market, there is one segment that has actually expanded in volume over the last several years even though the market is way down, and that's utilities," Farley told us. Ford estimates that their utility sales will grow 65 percent in Europe from 2012-2017. "The utility segment is projected to grow we think about thirty percent between now and 2017 in Europe, and we think we are going to grow twice that rate as a brand," Farley continued.

Ford Everest Concept shows China also has an affinity for big trucks

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

The Ford Everest Concept SUV at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show shows the future of the Blue Oval's truck line in China. While a concept for now, we're told that JMC, Ford's Chinese joint-venture partner, will build a production version sometime in the near future.
With design from Ford's Asia Pacific design team, the handsome seven-passenger SUV shows off some very muscular styling with wraparound headlights that hook into the contours of the angular trapezoidal grille. The beltline rises up the body in the rear and makes the back appear higher than the front. The rear is made from hard, chiseled contours that give the truck a very tough look. The Everest looks ready for some rough roads.
Ford is keeping the interior and mechanical details about the Everest a secret for now, but the SUV is rumored to share some components with the overseas Ranger pickup. The company has no plans to sell the truck in North America. Scroll down to read the official announcement, including the few details on its production.
