Welcome to a great opportunity. Offered for sale is one very sweet ride! This 2004 Mach 1 Mustang is in fantastic condition and looks incredible. No salt or snow, it has remained a Florida vehicle 95% of its life, with about 6 months in Texas. It is extra-clean, as you can tell by the photos, but what you can't see if how clean the undercarriage and all the components underneath are. This has been a well-maintained vehicle. The paint is beautiful, rich and deep and this color is my personal favorite. Absolutely no scratches or scrapes or door dings. Nothing. The leather interior is as close to new as you could ask for. It doesn't even appear that anyone has sat in the passenger or back seating. The leather is perfect, and this car was owned by a non-smoker. The lighter or ashtray have never been used and the cabin smells perfect...just like a barely used car. If the condition doesn't sell you alone, then maybe the mileage will. Only 26,401 original, documented miles. Obviously an occassional-use only vehicle, its obvious the previous owner loved this car. Mature, conscientious owner, this car was driven less than 2,500 miles per year. This is without a doubt the best sounding car I have ever owned. It has a stainless steel performance exhaust that is incredible...period. It has a K&N intake system and also Steeda Underdrive pulleys. This Mach 1 runs and drives like the day it was new, except better, and faster! Tight, tight, tight...that is the best way to explain this Mustang. I'm not one to drive very fast, but this car is a beast! (and again, best sounding car you will ever hear!) Someone spent a lot of money making it this nice. No disappointments. The car rides on a complete set of Goodyear Eagle Uni-directional premium speed-rated radials. It also has HID headlamps and the windows have been tinted. An outstanding and expensive Pioneer audio system completes the package, as well as polished aluminum racing pedals. All-in-all, this car is set up perfectly. Add in its no harsh weather upbringing, and this Mach 1 is a dream to own. Incredible condition and performance, as well as super-low original miles, garage-kept, pin-clean and best color combination. Anyone would be proud to have this car in their collection. Also, short-throw shifting, with custom slim chrome shift handle. Priced to sell at only $14,875, don't miss out on this opportunity. I've been in the car business 25+ year, but I am new to eBay. Please feel free to call or e-mail me at 561.283.9511 with any questions, comments, anything. I'll be happy to tell you all I know about the car. I may be missing a few things as I am sure there are a lot of Mustang experts here that know more than I do. All I can say is that this is a super-nice car, that was adult-owned, cared for, and tastefully upgraded and maintained with no regard for expense. Again, no disappointments. We do charge a nominal $299 dealer fee and you can come view this car in our showroom/warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida. If you fly in, we'll be happy to pick you up from the airport. If you need transportation assistance, we have several good licensed and insured companies that we work with to give you the best rates. Bid with confidence and Bid to win. Don't let this one slip away. It is a rare find that you will be proud to own. Good Luck to everyone bidding.

Ford names Lincoln chief as North American president following Nair's departure

Thu, Feb 22 2018

Ford announced yesterday that its North American president Raj Nair would no longer be working for the company due to "inappropriate behavior." As a result, the company needed fill that gaping vacancy. The new North American president and Ford Group vice president will be Kumar Galhotra, and his term in the new role will start on March 1. Galhotra will remain the group vice president and chief marketing officer for Lincoln through March, meaning he's the head of the luxury brand. He's had this position since 2014. Before that, he was vice president of engineering for all of Ford. With Galhotra's promotion, a number of internal promotions follow. Joy Falotico, current chairman, CEO and group vice president of Ford's credit division will fill Galhotra's position, and Dave McClelland, vice president of marketing for Ford Asia Pacific, will fill her role. Other shuffling at Ford includes Stewart Rawley's promotion to vice president for Ford North America and chief operating officer. He is the current vice president for strategy at Ford. Ford China's chairman and CEO John Lawler will take Rawley's old role, and Cathy O'Callaghan will take over Lawler's job at Ford China, but not until June 1. O'Callaghan is currently vice president, corporate controller and chief financial officer for global markets at Ford. Related Video:

Ford rolls out diesel Focus ST at Goodwood [w/poll]

Sun, 29 Jun 2014

If you're in the market for a hot hatch, there are some excellent choices at your disposal - especially if you live in Europe. But if you want a diesel, well, your choices become rather more limited. Volkswagen tends to that niche market with the Golf GTD (essentially an oil-burning version of the GTI available Stateside), but that's about the extent of it. The pleas of those looking for more diesel-burning hot hatch choices haven't fallen on deaf ears at Ford, with the Blue Oval not only rolling out a facelifted gas-powered Focus ST at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, but also a new diesel version as well.
The diesel Focus ST (which we hope and pray isn't marketed as the STD) packs a 2.0-liter turbodiesel four producing 182 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque to propel the oil-burning hot hatch to 62 in 8.1 seconds en route to a top speed of 135 miles per hour. With less power and only slightly more torque, that makes the diesel Focus ST considerably slower than the gasoline one, which packs 252 hp and 270 lb-ft, runs to 62 in 6.5 seconds and tops out at 154 mph, but (in a testament to how far particulate filters have come) the diesel model cuts carbon emissions by nearly a third compared to the petrol version and returns about 50-percent better fuel economy, which makes that much more of a difference in markets where diesel is already priced better than gasoline at the pump.
For buyers who wouldn't consider anything other than a diesel, it also represents 23-percent more power than the previous top-level diesel Focus. The VW Golf GTD, for reference, offers up 181 hp (just 1 horse less), 280 lb-ft (15 fewer torques) but is somehow estimated to reach 60 in a considerably fleeter 7.4 seconds.

Ford drops Focus RS teaser ahead of Feb 3 reveal

Wed, Jan 21 2015

Ford is trying to get us hyped for the unveiling of the latest Focus RS on February 3 with this new video teaser. The clip showcases the hot hatch doing some big slides in the wet and dry during testing in Europe and the US, and it definitely makes us even more curious about what the Blue Oval has in store with the RS. Even in this short teaser, Ford continues to dress the more aggressive nose of the Focus RS in camouflage, like the previous test cars. Unfortunately, what's going on under all of that concealment remains a bit of a mystery. Rumors suggest the RS likely uses a tuned version of the Blue Oval's 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder estimated to make between 325 and 350 horsepower. A speculated torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system should keep fears of torque steer at bay, and larger brakes on the test mules indicate that bringing it all to a halt shouldn't be a problem, either. We do know that the hotter Focus will be among the "more than 12" vehicles that the new Ford Performance division will develop through 2020, and the RS will come to the US for the first time. However, US-spec RS models will likely be imported from Europe, which will keep numbers here low and will mean prices estimated to be around $30,000 or more. Until the official specs become available, at least enjoy watching this hot hatch's ability to slide.
