Up for bid is a 2003 Mustang Cobra 4.6 DOHC Supercharged with 6 speed manual trans with 71,762 miles. The vehicle has a rebuilt title and there is odometer discrepancies on carfax. I have owned the vehicle 6 months and purchased it for bracket racing but the vehicle was to nice to use as race car even tho the unfortunate history of it. List of mods include Kenne bell 2.8 supercharger at 20 psi, 60 pound injectors, cold air intake, upgrade MAF converstion good for 1000 hp, Metco idler pulleys, Accufab throttle body, long tube headers and Borla stinger exhaust no catalytic converters, six speed manual with upgraded shaft and shift forks, Ram clutch and flywheel, adjustable cable and clutch quadrant, Pro 5.0 shifter, tubular k member and control arms, front coilovers, adjustable caster/camber plates, 8.8 solid axle swap shortened one inch with 35 spline Moser axles, c clip eliminators, spool and 4:10 Ford Motorsport gears, Pro Comp differential support cover, adjustable rear upper and lower control arms, rear coil over converstion with Lakewood shocks in stock location, rear gt disc brake setup, subframe connectors. Made 600 rwhp on 93 octane. Rims are late 90's Cobra replica's 17 by 11.5 rear and 17 by 9 front with Nitto Drag radials and Nitto tires front. 12 inch wheels with 6.5 backspacing with 28 by 10.5 slick will fit nicely in fender since axle is shortened. Ford dinged by OSHA for asbestos at Buffalo plant
Sat, 20 Jul 2013Ford has come under fire from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for violations regarding asbestos exposure in a company metal stamping plant in Buffalo, NY. OSHA has cited Ford for eight violations in total, according to an Automotive News report, and faces fines of up to $41,800. 537 workers are employed at the stamping facility.
The violations include a pipefitter at the facility being exposed to asbestos-containing material while working on a steam line, other workers exposed to the material without respiratory protection and work areas that were not designed to limited the number of workers in contact with asbestos. Further, areas in which asbestos was present were not properly restricted, and levels of asbestos in the air were not monitored.
According to an unnamed Ford spokesperson in the AN report, the company feels that the OSHA citation is erroneous saying, "We have fully cooperated with the local OSHA officials and we don't believe the citations are warranted." Ford also maintains that it will work with the authorities to resolve the issue.
Ford Fusion production scaled back just 3 months after it was accelerated
Mon, 02 Dec 2013Three months after kicking off production of the Ford Fusion at its Flat Rock, MI factory, Ford Motor Company is taking steps to trim output in the face of heavily discounted competition from Toyota and a growing supply of vehicles.
The addition of Fusion production in Flat Rock - which also builds the Mustang - was meant to be what pushed the handsome mid-sizer past its arch-nemesis, the Toyota Camry. An extra facility building Fusions was also meant to curb the growing demand for Ford's highly profitable sedan.
But with word that Flat Rock would take "approximately" one extra week off for the holidays combined with an 88-day supply of Fusions - reportedly due in no small part to what Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas called "aggressive discounting of the Camry" - some analysts are now beginning to wonder if Ford may have overextended itself by adding a second Fusion facility to the mix.

While the video might lack the show's charismatic hosts, this is an opportunity to see a drag race between a Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR with 550 horsepower and a Hennessey VelociRaptor with 623 hp. The duel between these two supercharged V8s definitely sounds great. Both rugged models start at the line growling angrily at each other like dogs ready for a fight. You have to watch the clip to see whether the more powerful VelociRaptor feeds on the SVR, though.
