!!2003 REDFIRE COBRA FOR SALE!!
Up for sale is my 2003 Mustang SVT Cobra. The color is Redfire metallic one of the best colors on these cars. If you are looking at this ad you probably know about these cars. If you don't I suggest you do a little more research as these cars are totally hooked up. The engine is fully forged hand built from fords special vehicle team and signed off (plaque in the engine bay). From the factory these cars are making 390whp. This car as it sits is making 416whp with the stock supercharger pulley! and handheld tune from Mustang Magic. I have the dyno sheet if interested. Car will make 480 to 500whp with a tune and smaller pulley. I never felt that I needed any more so I didn't bother. The tranny is a strong Tremec T-56 6 speed manual with a brand new MGW short throw shifter and fresh Amsoil fluid. Coolant flush was also just done and stock heat exchanger was replaced with an AFCO double pass unit much better than stock. Rear tires have about 3,000 miles which are NITTO drag radials 555Rs. Engine oil was changed with Royal Purple. Front brakes were just replaced with powerslot slotted rotors and Hawk performance brake pads. Fuel filter also just replaced. Car is dropped on H&R springs. Exhaust is MAC x pipe and catback along with mac Cold air intake. I have maximum motorsport caster camber plates, lethal performance head cooling mod and new lug nuts that are brand new not on the car yet and included. The wheels are the nice chrome 17s from the factory. Interior is mint everything works have cobra floor mats brand new also. The rear is an independent rear suspension like high end sports cars use. This is one of nicest termis out there you would never know the car had 90k. Any questions text or call (SIX THREE ONE)-748-9349. Will send pics. please don't waste mine or your time if you are not serious. Tire kickers and low ballers will not be tolerated. Clean carfax btw. |

Toyota again claims Corolla outsold Focus worldwide
Wed, 10 Apr 2013Toyota isn't convinced the Ford Focus was the best-selling nameplate globally last year. Bloomberg reports that for the second time in seven months, both Toyota and Ford are laying claim to the title. Ford cites R.L. Polk & Co. data that says the automaker moved some 1.02 million Focus models in 2012 compared to just 872,774 Toyota Corolla units. But Toyota says the actual figure is closer to 1.16 million Corolla models.
Last year, Ford said it took the sales crown through the fist half of 2012 based on information from IHS Automotive, but Toyota pointed out those numbers left out models like the Corolla-based Matrix and Auris, as well as the Corolla Fielder and Scion xB-based Corolla Rumion. Whether or not Toyota's belief that all these cars should be counted in the Corolla bucket is accurate or not is seemingly up for debate... as is the question of why it matters so much to both parties.
This time around, Ford is holding the line that the Focus is the "best-selling nameplate," with Erich Merkle, a US sales analyst with Ford saying the company's figure is, "a pure number that is verified by a third party." Toyota, meanwhile, has requested clarification from Polk.

Ford recalling 370,000 Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and Town Car models
Fri, 30 Aug 2013The Detroit News is reporting that Ford will recall some 370,000 Crown Victoria (pictured), Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car vehicles from model years 2005 through 2011, for an issue regarding the lower intermediate steering shaft. 355,000 of the vehicles in question were sold in the US, with the other 15,000 sold in Canada.
The report indicates that corrosion of the lower intermediate steering shaft could cause a "loss of steering," presumably because of a partial or complete failure of the part. The report points out the dealers will inspect and replace the offending steering component for recalled cars, and may also secure a lower steering column bearing and replace the upper intermediate steering shaft as needed. The company is unaware of any reports of the faulty part causing any accidents or injuries.
Ford helpfully lists states in which corrosion is more likely to have taken place, mostly in the Snow Belt, as you might guess. Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia are listed.
