Here is a 2001 Ford Mustang GT Saleen S281 Body Kit

This is a 2001 GT Saleen Clone, and is a beauty! I've had 3 Mustangs, they are my favorite car, I know a good one when I see one, and I know this is a good car. This was a GT, that was made into an exact replica of a S281 Saleen, and would fool anyone that is wasn't legit! I get heads turning left and right! This car is fun to look at, and especially drive. I love riding in this badass american muscle car! I take it to shows and it gets a ton of attention! It is a true American Beauty done right. It has just hit the 100,000 mile mark a few weeks ago. It drives and runs like a charm! I have only had it for a few months, and had not had one problem what so ever with it. It starts right up and goes. I recently drove it to Maryland from PA and back, without a single problem. It was freshly painted within that past year or so, and was maintained well by me and the previous owner, who was a mechanic. I am the third owner of this vehicle. This car has a lot of stuff in it, and work that was done. It is a great car for anyone, male, female, young or old! Why not get a beauty like this at a very good price?! Have some fun on the roads, while grabbing the attention of many. Don't get ripped off by a dealer, by from a private seller who will give the best bang for your buck. This car looks amazing, sounds amazing, and drives even better! It has a load of power, a great sound system, an aggressive exhaust, and the looks of a lambo! It is inspected in PA until March, 2013. I'm planning on posting a pic of engine very shortly. Engine is in Pristine Condition, looks brand new! Clean as a whistle!! Read below for each specific part of the car, hope to fulfill all your thoughts and questions on car! If not, don't hesitate to e-mail me or call me!

Engine: Stock GT Engine, with BBK Intake system, and Borla Exhaust! 300+ LBS of TORQUE! Very Quick! Clean as a whistle! Starts right up and runs. Excellent condition.
Exhaust: Borla, Most aggressive sound on the Mustang! Less than 1,000 miles on it! NEW! Awesome dual 3" inch stainless steel pipes! HAVE TO HEAR!
Wheels: Chrome 18" Saleen 5 Spoke wheels. Beautiful wheels. Tread is medium, not new, but still has tread. Most likely needs new tires soon. (RWD Sports car)
Body: Great Condition, Paint is very fresh and shiny, looks amazing. A key mark on side panel of car, in the back side panel, behind driver door... about a foot or two long, a just noticeable mark. Doesn't look bad to get fixed. Otherwise, very very minor scuffs/dents, great overall for 100,000 miles 2001 car. Being the kit is fairly new along with paint job. Show car condition minus key mark. (however, i still brought to show with key mark)
Windows: 15% All around tint, perfect! Looks awesome, keeps car cool inside, and not dark enough to get busted!
Interior: Good Condition, Rip in driver seat. Leather tan interior. Back Seats look awesome, Passenger seat is good, just some wear. Power seat works fine. Seat cover on driver seat. A couple gauges on driver side (can be removed) put on from previous owner, due to his thought of swapping engine or turboing it. Do Not function, but light up, I kept in for cool looks!
SOUND SYSTEM: AFTERMARKET 6" PIONEER TOUCH SCREEN HEAD UNIT! Plays DVD's, says all songs on radio, with USB and AUX. Other things too! Expensive head unit!
Dual 10" Pioneer Subs in trunk, in open box! All connected! Memphis Amp, I believe upgraded speakers also, amazing sound system! Clear as a whistle with a bass adjusting knob!

Have an extra Saleen sticker for Windshield also, but the one on now is in awesome shape so no need, just for when needed.
Also has two Set of keys... and even TWO RARE VIPER REMOTE STARTERS! Very cool feature for a Stang!

This car is awesome, and I truly hate to part with it, but have to for other needs at the moment. This is a great car that I would love to see someone else enjoy and take care of.

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.

We spy the Ford Mustang King Cobra early at SEMA

Tue, 04 Nov 2014

As is the case with most auto shows, waiting for the reveal of hot new models is the worst part. So, while our own Drew Phillips has been wandering the halls here in Las Vegas since they unlocked the doors for SEMA 2014, we didn't expect him to come back with any big reveals until later in the day. Until this happened.
Meandering by the Ford stand, Phillips eagle-eyed a trunk lid that caught his attention. Popping out from an otherwise draped 2015 Mustang, the matte black lid clearly has the name King Cobra embossed on the rear.
That name is interesting for a few reasons: to start, Ford hasn't used the Cobra name (without "Jet" attached) since way back in 2004, so a new snake is certainly something to take note of. Second, the King Cobra name dates all the way back to the ill-remembered Mustang II, meaning there is a clear link to Blue Oval history here.

What car should James Robertson buy to drive his famous 21-mile commute?

Thu, Feb 5 2015

The Internet has been abuzz this week with the story of Detroit resident James Robertson, the 56-year-old factory worker who has walked some 21 miles to work for the last 10 years. The Detroit Free Press brought Robertson's story to the fore, helping an online fundraising campaign to generate more than $275,000 (as of this writing). The original goal was just $5,000, or about enough to replace the used Honda that died on Robertson back in 2005, and left him walking. So, newly flush with funds, what's the perfect car for Robertson to buy? Let's look at the specifics of his situation, and try to pick out the best options. Here's what we know: Robertson's commute is (famously) 21 miles; he lives in downtown Detroit (for now) and seems pretty humble, so something very flashy is probably out; former Honda aside, his ties to the city (and statements about being a Ford fan) seem to indicate a Detroit Three company product is best; he's a single guy with a girlfriend; he's got to deal with Michigan weather, and the sometimes fickle snow removal processes in The D. Here are some choices: Ford F-150 Robertson is on record as being a Taurus fan, and after a decade of walking I've no doubt that the big sedan would offer a cozy respite. Still, as a car guy and a student of the industry, I'd have a hard time recommending a sedan so clearly in need of replacement. Especially when The Blue Oval has such great stuff within the rest of its roster. The 2015 F-150 seems almost perfect for Robertson. Opting for either of the new EcoBoost V6 engines should help keep fuel bills in reasonable check, while healthy ride height and four-wheel drive will get him to work on time even during the snowiest of snow days. Better still, with a fat options sheet and car-like ride quality, Robertson can have just about every amenity he might want, in a package that won't disrespect his blue-collar roots. Chevrolet Colorado You guys saw this one coming, right? The smaller footprint of the midsize Chevy pickup, relative to some of the other options here, should be an advantage for urban parking and driving. And again, 4x4 is an option for the nasty weather, the running costs should stay pretty low and there aren't many tech/luxury features that can't be had in-cabin. I'd go ahead and splash out on the Crew Cab bodystyle, too, just in case Robertson feels like starting a carpool.
