Up for sale is a very nice 2000 Mustang Saleen, car number 90. It is a factory Saleen supercharged car. It is 1 of 203 produced. It only has 24k actual mile and is in great shape. Laser red in color with black top and black leather. The car is bone stock with the exception of the Borla exhaust that came on it from Saleen. It also has the carbon fiber exterior and interior option which was an extra back in 2000. Has carbon fiber outside mirrors and multiple interior trim pieces on inside are carbon fiber. It has the Mach 460 sound system. The dash has also been signed by Steve Saleen. Everything on the car works, all power options, the top, heat/ac, etc. The top is in great shape, no rips or tears, doesn't leak either. Also comes with convertible top boot to put on car when top is down. The car runs and drives great. I just put brand new Bridgestone Potenzas on the car, 285/35/18 in rear and 275/35/18 in front, tires have less than 50 miles on them. The underside of the car is spotless, no drips/leaks of any type. Interior of the car is like new, with the exception of some cracking in leather on the front seats, which is typical. Backseats haven't been sat in. The exterior shows well and is all original. There is a scrape on passenger side front bumper that is noticeable when you are looking at the front of the car, approx. 3-4 inches long, its not bad but its there. The spoiler has had a couple scratches on it, but they have been touched up. The rest of the paint shows wear, a couple very small scratches in a couple places. So small they won't show up when I try to take pictures of them. Overall the car is in great shape and is a piece of Mustang history. I would rate the car overall a 9 on a 1 to 10 scale. I have clean and clear title in hand, also a clean Autocheck Report. Banks will loan on this car as the guy I got it from had it financed himself. Mulally confirms he's not leaving Ford for Microsoft

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

In recent months, rumors had been flying about Ford CEO Alan Mulally potentially leaving the company to take a position at Microsoft. Last we heard, Mulally was planning to stick around at Ford through at least 2014, and in an interview today, that bit was confirmed by the CEO himself.
According to the Associated Press, in a report from The Detroit News, Mulally said he will not be leaving Ford for Microsoft, and reiterated that he will remain at the Blue Oval through 2014, if not longer. Mulally has "no plans other than to serve Ford," according to the report.
Mulally did not say whether or not he had been in talks with Microsoft at any point. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has said he plans to leave the software company sometime this year.

Carfection looks for the ultimate pocket rocket

Fri, Mar 18 2016

If there's one thing we love, it's a good showdown. Especially when it's on video, done by some Englishmen, and involving some manner of performance machinery. Like this latest clip, for example, from Carfection. The team formerly known as Xcar have assembled three very compelling supermini hot hatches: two we can get on our side of the pond, and one we can't. One American, one Frenchman, and one Brit. One cheap, one expensive, and one somewhere in between. They all pack turbo fours, of course, but placed in entirely different packages. There's the evergreen favorite Ford Fiesta ST, the Renault Clio RS 220 Trophy that should have the rest licked, and the retro rocket that is the Mini JCW. And there's only one way to find out which is the best. It's a tough contest, to be sure, but lest you think it all comes down to specifications or which one's the newest, you'll want to think again. Because when it comes to hot hatches, all the electronic gizmos and power boosts in the world can't show up a perfectly dialed-in chassis that lets you hug the curves and feel like you're going a lot faster than you actually are. But don't take our word for it – see what our British friends have to say about it in the Queen's English in the seventeen-minute clip above. Related Video:

Ford is recalling more Takata airbag-equipped Ford and Lincoln models

Thu, Mar 2 2017

The Basics: Takata, the beleaguered airbag supplier at the root of the largest recall in automotive history, has informed Ford of a problem with the airbags in just over 30,000 Ford and Lincoln models. The problem is not related to the non-desiccated ammonium nitrate airbag inflators that plague the other airbags ( including many Fords), meaning there isn't a risk of shrapnel flying out from the units in this particular recall. The Problem: In the event of an accident, the front airbags may only partially inflate, and the airbag may become detached from the module because of misaligned parts. The problem affects 2016 and 2017 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX models built at the Oakville Assembly Plant. The issue also affects 2017 Lincoln Continentals that were built at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant. Injuries/Deaths: In a release, Ford stated that it is not aware of any accidents, injuries, or deaths related to the airbag issue. The Fix: Dealers will replace the driver-side front airbag module at no cost. If You Own One: Sit tight and wait for Ford to notify owners. When that happens, take your car to the dealer for a replacement. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
