All body panels, which include front and rear bumper covers, hood, trunk lid with spoiler, side skirts, body color fold away mirrors, headlights and foglights have all been replaced to NEW factory Ford 03-04 Terminator Cobra parts and entire car was resparyed the original color. The engine was replaced with a NEW 04 Supercharged Terminator Cobra running assy from Ford Motor Company (running assy is an engine picked right off the assy line fully dressed waiting to be installed in a new vehicle at Ford assy plant, it included all front engine assesories (alternator, a/c compressor, power steering pump, supercharger assy, etc), clutch/flywheel assy, belts, hoses, wiring harness, even filled with engine oil, it's as complete as you can get it, everything top to bottom). Was purchased and installed in 2009, and now has exactly 7995 miles on it, I don't drive the car much, it's a second car. I added Ford Racing ceramic coated headers, offroad x-pipe and flowmasters, a NEW Ford Racing 03-04 Cobra complete fuel tank/dual fuel pump kit, and correct Terminator Cobra PCM at time of installation, a body color JLT cold-air kit, a 2.8 Metco supercharger pulley with a 100mm Metco Idler pulley, and a huge Fluidyne heat exchanger custom fit and mounted standing up in the lower opening of bumper cover. The engine part number cost right at $14,000 from Ford. The transmission is a NEW TR-3650 5 spd rated at 750 hp with a 26 spline input shaft from ProMotion Transmission. It has maybe half the mileage of the engine, somewhere in the 4-5,000 range. I rebuilt the rear differential with all new bearings, replaced differential with a NEW factory Ford replacement 03-04 Cobra differential (has carbon fiber clutch packs and 31 spline side gears for 31 spline axle/half-shafts), new Ford 3.55 ring and pinion, new Ford 31 spline 03-04 Cobra half shafts, and new axle/hub bearings, Steeda differential mount/brace, Steeda eurothane differential housing bushings. Installed NEW Ford Racing 03-04 Cobra front lower control arms with ball joints included, Steeda 4 bolt caster/camber plates, eurothane sway bar bushings, endlinks, spring isolators, rack and pinion bushings, NEW Ford rack and pinion with NEW Ford power steering hoses, Tokiko struts, shocks, and springs front and rear. Also installed black on black 04 Cobra leather/suede seats front and rear, Ford Racing FR500 steering wheel (very nice piece and no longer available), center console with the large cupholders instead of console with ashtray, Clarion video monitor head unit with HD Radio. Battery relocated to trunk, and a large capacity Vortech coolant tank for heat exchanger sits underhood in original battery tray. Wheels are 18" version of 03-04 Cobra wheels, Front 18x9 with 275/35-18 which are worn and ready for replacement. Rears: 18x10.5 with like new 295/35-18. also included are 2 17x10.5 deep dish 03 Cobra wheels with Nitto 315/30-17 drag radials. Also installed 03-04 Cobra instrument cluster with boost gauge, and have an external a-pillar mounted boost/vacuum gauge and a wide band o2 gauge. Comes with X2 programmer with three programs from JMS Chip and the tunes are spot on. Car is pretty much mint, drives perfect, no squeaks or rattles. I've owned many Mustangs and driven many more, this one is by far one of the best driving, all around great performing Cobras out there. Yes there are faster ones, this one makes about 500hp, its just a great all around driving/performing car. The really cool thing about this car is that it's 03-04 Terminator Cobra inside and out, but it's in a color that wasn't available in those years, only available in 1999 and only 185 were built in the Electric Green with black interior. Car was never beat on, brought to the track, or put on a dyno. Also, Im a Senior Master Ford technician and have performed all of the work on the car except for the paint, that was done at a professional body shop. Car is right and tight. Contact me for more infor, you wont find a nicer car!! Title in hand. 504-421-8599 Mark

Jay Leno is far beyond driven in his 1971 Pantera
Mon, 23 Jun 2014Perhaps it's fitting that the band Pantera is known for its heavy metal music, because the DeTomaso Pantera is the automotive equivalent of a metal album. It's short, aggressive and makes a mean sound. It doesn't mess around either, with a Ford 351-cubic-inch (5.75-liter) V8 sending mountains of torque to the rear wheels. This week, Jay Leno takes us on a detailed tour of his '71 to show why it rocks.
There's a regular format to Jay Leno's Garage. It starts with Jay and maybe a guest taking a look at the car and talking about its history, and then they take it out on the open road. However, this video is practically a Pantera buyer's guide. Jay is adamant from the start that the last thing anyone should own is a stock example. To remedy this, he and his guest, the editor of the Pantera Club magazine, take viewers to school about some of the ways to turn them into even better performance machines.
No matter what you do to it, though, the Pantera requires that the driver adapt to it, not the other way around. For example, Jay isn't a big guy by most standards, but he has to cram himself into the cockpit with his shoes off and shirt partially unbuttoned just to go for a drive. Still, once out on the road, it all makes sense with that rumbling V8 and those Italian supercar looks. Scroll down to watch and learn a lot more about this uncompromising '70s performance car.
2014 Ford Fiesta ST priced from $21,400* [w/poll]
Tue, 26 Feb 2013The 2014 model year brings a whole host of changes to Ford's Fiesta B-Segment fighter, the most important of which (to our enthusiast eyes, anyway) is the addition of a potent new ST model. The US-spec hot hatch was first shown at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show last November, and thanks to Ford's build-and-price site, we've now learned that the Fiesta ST will slide in at $21,400 when it goes on sale later this year (*not including $795 for destination).
Under the hood of the ST is a turbocharged 1.6-liter EcoBoost inline-four good for 197 horsepower and 214 pound-feet of torque, mated solely to a six-speed manual transmission. Ford hasn't released performance data on its pint-sized puncher just yet, but know that these numbers make the Fiesta ST ever-so-slightly more powerful than the larger Volkswagen GTI while returning an estimated 34 miles per gallon on the highway.
Elsewhere in the lineup, the standard Fiesta also gets a smattering of improvements for the 2014 model year, including a new 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine and revised exterior styling. Pricing for the 2014 Fiesta sedan starts at $14,000, with the five-door model adding $600 to that number (again excluding the $795 destination fee).
Ford Fiesta ST orders off to strong start
Fri, 17 May 2013We at Autoblog love the new little Ford Fiesta ST, and apparently, folks in Europe are pretty impressed with it, as well. According to Ford, the automaker's European arm has already logged 3,000 orders for the new hot hatch since it hit dealerships this March. The US-spec car, which will only be available as a five-door, will go on sale in the United States this summer.
What's perhaps most interesting about the Fiesta ST ordering is that the majority of customers appear to be ordering high-spec cars. According to Ford data, 60 percent of customers have opted for the leather interior with Recaro buckets, and 90 percent have selected the upgraded 17-inch wheels (seen on our test car, above). Spirit Blue has been the most popular color, commanding 27 percent of all orders. As for the technology upgrades, 19 percent of customers have ponied up for the Sony stereo with navigation.
To recap, the Fiesta ST is offered with Ford's 1.6-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, putting out 179 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. We had an absolute blast flinging the hot Fiesta through the French Alps, and we can't wait for this sharp little hatch to make its way over to the States.
