Back up for sale! Buyer who won last auction never contacted or paid me. vehicle starts and runs great. Interior is beige leather and has normal wear and tare. Vehicle has tented windows, new tires about 3 months old and new front euro head lights. Issues with the vehicle are the following, squeaks in the front when turning or boing over speed bumps which I am told are the ball joints but I am not sure, car burns some oil, the motor for the power locks is going bad,the break light on the dash comes on for a little bit when driving which is probably the sensor and the check engine light has came on in the past for a few seconds and went off which I am not sure what it could be. Other then those minor things I have never had any issue with this car in the past two years I have owned it.
The car does have a hit on the care fax from the original owner back in 2002 from an accident but there are no damages from it. This could be a nice rebuild or first car for someone or just to get you back and forth to work. Price is under blue book value and is a great deal. |

Ford hybrid sales rebound following MPG controversy
Sun, 31 Aug 2014Ford hybrid customers apparently have very short memories. With two EPA fuel economy reratings in the last year, sales of the C-Max, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ haven't been too terribly dented, Ward's Auto reports.
All three vehicles saw sales dips following the August 2013 rerating, although sales of the MKZ Hybrid had begun to rebound as early as November of that year. C-Max sales, meanwhile, took slightly longer, with sales on a steadily improving course as early as February of this year.
The second rerating, in June of this year, has had an even smaller effect on the Blue Oval's hybrids. The C-Max has actually been subject to a sales increase, while both the MKZ and Fusion saw minor sales drops (less than 400 units between the two in the month following the rerating).
Hurricane Sandy cost automakers 15,000 vehicles, may have ruined up to 200k
Wed, 07 Nov 2012Hurricane Sandy was the largest Atlantic storm in US history, and its total economic impact is just now coming into view. According to Automotive News, Toyota, Chrysler, Nissan and Honda are set to scrap around 15,000 new vehicles ruined by the storm. Nissan alone accounts for about 40 percent of those, with 6,000 Nissan and Infiniti models deeded "un-saleable" due to damage. The company saw 56 dealerships shuttered due to the storm, but 51 of those have since reopened.
Toyota, meanwhile, had some 4,000 vehicles at its Newark port facility, and of those, 3,000 may be scrapped. An additional 825 were dealer inventory when they were ruined. Honda and Acura dealers are reportedly sending 3,440 vehicles to the salvage yard. By comparison, Chrysler weathered the storm fairly well with 825 units destroyed, while Hyundai suffered only 400 lost units and Kia scrapped around 200.
As you may recall, Fisker also suffered some losses, and Automotive News reports the manufacturer saw 320 Karma models damaged beyond repair. Ford and General Motors have yet to come up with estimates, and no automaker has commented on the full cost of replacing the vehicles.
Ford wins second consecutive International Van of the Year award with Transit Connect
Wed, 18 Sep 2013The redesigned 2014 Ford Transit Connect isn't even on sale yet, but it's already making its presence felt around the world. At a commercial vehicle expo in Russia, the Transit Connect was named the International Van of the Year.
Ford's small work van edged out the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter by just seven points to allow Ford to grab this honor for the second consecutive year, which it won last year with the Transit Custom. Not only does this make Ford the first to ever win the award in back-to-back years, but it's also the fifth time the automaker has won this award since 2003 (two with the Transit Connect, two with the fullsize Transit and once with the Transit Custom). Ford congratulates itself for the accomplishment in a press release posted below.
