You are bidding on a rare, very low-mile 1995 Cobra Mustang SVT Convertible / Hardtop.  It has an automatic retractable convertible top or you can make it a hardtop with a 5 minute install time.  It will come with the hardtop storing roller and cover.  An official SVT certificate can be requested for this specific car by visiting the SVT Cobra Club website or by giving them a phone call.

The car has primarily been an Arizona car its whole life.  The car has only been in Utah since last July where it has sat inside a garage and covered.  The car still has the original tires on it with plenty of tread left.  That is the kind of condition the car is in.  It is a 5-speed manual car.  It has the upgraded Infinity stereo system from the factory and sounds great.  I have upgraded the exhaust system to Magnaflow.  The car is in extremely nice condition.  The car only gets driven on the weekends but not every weekend.  The oil still gets changed every 3 months since that time always comes before 3000 miles are even put on the odometer.  The motor pulls very strong and sounds fantastic.

I have all maintenance records on the car since new.  Absolutely nothing major has needed repaired on the car and it is completely stock, other than the exhaust.  For those interested in having this car with even more power, you can install a power charger that will increase the horsepower significantly.  I personally think it has plenty of power stock and have not touched or modified the motor for this reason.  The pictures will speak to you but they still do not do the car justice.

The car has been inspected and appraised by a widely known company based out of Phoenix, Arizona.  I still have the official appraisal on the car that I can provide to an interested party or to whoever the new owner will be.  The car was appraised for over $25,000 a couple years ago.

Do not hesitate to bid on this car as it is in excellent condition and these very low-mile mustangs are becoming harder to find. Especially, in the convertible-hardtop Cobra SVT.  The car has just been detailed and is ready to go to a new owner.

There is too much to cover on this car so please do not hesitate to email or call me and I would be happy to answer any questions you have.

Shelby GT500 laps N"urburgring in under 7:40?

Wed, 30 Oct 2013

A couple of weeks ago we brought you footage and official times of the new Chevy Camaro Z/28 lapping the Nürburgring. With a 7:37.47 lap time, the Z/28 emerged as the fastest muscle car ever to lap the circuit. But what was missing from that picture was how fast the king of all Mustangs, the Shelby GT500, could manage to lap the Nordschleife.
Ford never released any information or footage of the GT500 on the Nürburgring that we were aware of - that is, until the guys at SVTPerformance.com put in a request for Mustang videos. Among the clips they received was never-seen, in-car footage of the Shelby GT500 lapping the circuit. And boy did it hustle.
Although not quite official, the video seems to show the GT500 lapped the venerated German track in a touch under 7:40. That would make it a tick or two faster than the Camaro ZL1 - but what of the Z/28? By Chevy's quoted time, the Z/28 is still faster than the GT500, but SVTPerformance suggests GM may have fudged the numbers a bit and scrubbed half a second or so off their lap time.

2015 Ford Focus

Tue, 14 Oct 2014

Sitting down at the pre-drive briefing with Ford engineers ahead of sampling the refreshed 2015 Focus, water bottles clinked as we wet our whistles before Q&A. While pouring a glass, we noticed something stamped on the bottle label: "1L." One liter. We were palming the exact displacement of the EcoBoost engine our group was about to drive. This was undoubtedly coincidence (such bottles litter every conference and dinner table in Europe) but it served to drive home just how small the total swept volume of Ford's wunderkind powerplant really is. It's tiny.
Of course, this isn't our first run-in with the little triple - we've sampled its turbocharged charms before in Ford's smaller Fiesta. At that time, we found it had plenty of poke for the subcompact, but the larger C-segment Focus carries around another 450 pounds or so and pushes a wider profile through the air. Would the three-cylinder have the stuffing to make the most of the Focus' athletic chassis, or would it be a letdown? Would it be the same as it was when we tested it in a Euro-spec Focus a couple of years ago? There was nothing left for it but to head out on the bucolic roads surrounding Versailles the day after the Paris Motor Show and find out for ourselves.

Ford reveals automated Fusion Hybrid

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Autonomous cars may still be in their infancy, but more and more big names in the auto industry are diving in head first. Nissan is already making strides with a semi-autonomous Leaf EV and General Motors is planning to offer semi-autonomous tech by 2020. And then there's Google, doing its thing with a fleet of Toyota Prius. Now, Ford is showing off its latest automated effort, a driverless Fusion Hybrid.
Partnering with the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and State Farm Insurance, the project is part of Ford's Blueprint for Mobility, the company's plan for transportation beyond 2025. "The Ford Fusion Hybrid automated vehicle represents a vital step toward our vision for the future of mobility," Chairman Bill Ford said. "We see a future of connected cars that communicate with each other and the world around them to make driving safer, ease traffic congestion and sustain the environment."
The automated Fusion features four LiDAR infrared sensors that scan the road 2.5 million times every second, using a principle similar to the echolocation used by dolphins or bats. Using the infrared light emitted by the LiDAR, the car can draw a picture of everything within 200 feet to create a map of its surroundings. According to Ford, the sensors are able to tell the difference between a paper bag and a small animal from a football field away.
