Car does have some blemishes in the paint and a baseball size dent in the lower passenger door due to being run into by a dog (yes, I know... If you want to hear the story, come look at the car and I will explain.), but shines and shows well.  I get a lot of compliments on how the paint always looks wet. The car runs very well and reliable also stops on a dime. A/C is cold, but probably could use a charge. Front and Rear main seals do drip a little. The top is in good shape, no tears, however does show its age. Parking brake is installed but does not work, due to weak springs supplied on Wilwood calipers.  This is a great car for someone that likes to tinker around with little things here and there and do car shows and cruises. Most of the expensive and basic modifications have already been done. I would love to keep this car, but I bought an 04 Cobra and its a tight fit for both cars in the garage.

Price is negotiable, but not a bargain... Serious buyers only and test drives will be supervised 'no exceptions'. Cash or Wire Transfer are the only forms of payment accepted. Vehicle will not be released until full payment is received. CLEAR title in MY name.

On Sep-11-13 at 08:08:16 PDT, seller added the following information:

Had a message about Catalytic Converters. The car has no CATS, it has an Offroad X-Pipe. Also, the EGR system has been removed and tuned out. That being said, check your local emissions laws as this car will probably not pass without the installation of the emissions system and a retune. Florida does not require emissions.

James Franco and tiger tease Ford Super Bowl commercial

Sat, 01 Feb 2014

Ford has just released a teaser for its Super Bowl ad, and unlike just about every other automaker, it seems that the Blue Oval is going to make us wait until Sunday to see the full spot. The teaser is, um, strange.
It stars James Franco, who believes he is Ron Riggle, the comedian, Fox NFL Sunday host and retired Marine lieutenant colonel. There's also a tiger. The vague spot has Franco claiming that "this is no ordinary commercial." You'll note on the bottom right, there's a Ford logo and the hashtag #nearlydouble.
According to Automotive News, it's part of a massive viral effort being pushed forward by Ford and its dealerships. Ford sent different teasers and "vignettes" to dealership employees and asked them to share them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, in the hopes of creating a viral effect.

Watch this lead sled go rallying in Finland

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Custom cars generally fit into neat little boxes in terms of how they are used. For example, you're unlikely to see a modded Corvette going rock crawling; it's just not what it's made for (though we bet it'd look awesome, for a minute). In the same way, chopped, channeled and customized '50s hot rods aren't really meant to go racing. They look great and go fast, but they are generally more cruisers than sports cars.
However, if this video is any indication, the people of Finland don't adhere in these stereotypes, because this rodder is happy to play in the dirt with his lead sled.
According to the video, the driver is a member of the Ford-Freak Club of Finland, and he clearly knows how to have some fun. Possibly inspired by his country's great rally drivers, he gets the tail way out going around this gently curving gravel track. The stunt is somewhat reminiscent of the stock cars races on the sand at Daytona Beach, and this is probably close to what it sounded like too. Scroll down to watch a very cool Finn getting his hot rod a little dirty.

Ford recalling 370,000 Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and Town Car models

Fri, 30 Aug 2013

The Detroit News is reporting that Ford will recall some 370,000 Crown Victoria (pictured), Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car vehicles from model years 2005 through 2011, for an issue regarding the lower intermediate steering shaft. 355,000 of the vehicles in question were sold in the US, with the other 15,000 sold in Canada.
The report indicates that corrosion of the lower intermediate steering shaft could cause a "loss of steering," presumably because of a partial or complete failure of the part. The report points out the dealers will inspect and replace the offending steering component for recalled cars, and may also secure a lower steering column bearing and replace the upper intermediate steering shaft as needed. The company is unaware of any reports of the faulty part causing any accidents or injuries.
Ford helpfully lists states in which corrosion is more likely to have taken place, mostly in the Snow Belt, as you might guess. Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia are listed.
