I'm selling my 1994 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 convertible. I hate to part with this beautiful car, but we just got married and are trying to buy a house. It's a V8 5.0L engine, automatic transmission, with a Flowmaster exhaust and chrome tips. It has less than 107,000 miles on it. It has a salvage title.  The car is black with a white top and white leather interior. Windows, convertible top, and driver's seat are electric. The rims are the original factory rims. The tires are pretty new. I put new shocks and struts on it about three years ago. The front end of the car has a Cobra body kit while the rest of the car has an Invader Shogun body kit. It has an aftermarket Clarion AutoPC CD player, two Cerwin Vega speakers in the doors, two 12 in. Soundstream sub-woofers, and 1000 watt Soundstream amp that are custom mounted in the trunk. The car has a security alarm with an LED remote controller that can also remote start the car for you. The windows are tinted with limo black tint. There are blackouts on the front headlights with removable Mustang stickers. There are custom mounted "5.0" symbols on both front quarter panels. The dash and gauges have been updated to white to match the interior. The dash gauges will light up six different colors according to your choice. The pedal mounts light up blue. The car comes with some convertible product extras, please email me to see pics if interested.

There are some normal wear and tear on the car. The hood should probably be painted but does not look bad by any means. The odometer just stopped working, but it only has about 30-40 miles more than what it currently reads (that is the mileage used taking it to the shop and back). I didn't get it fixed because I was told that most people are swapping them out for digital ones anyways, so you have the choice to update as you wish.  The A/C currently doesn't work.  I'm not sure if it needs freon or a new part, but I never had it fixed because it's a convertible and I didn't need to use A/C.  The driver's seat could stand to be re-upholstered but seat covers would be an easy and inexpensive update.

This car is fast, has loud pipes, a super loud stereo system, and will really turn heads! Please email me if you are interested and would like to see more pics or need more information.  This car must be picked up, NO DELIVERY.  I accept cash and certified check for payment.

Ford Mondeo classes up with premium Vignale trim

Wed, 11 Sep 2013

Back in the day, Vignale was a carrozzeria of the highest order, alongside the likes of Pininfarina, Bertone and Zagato. But like Giugiaro-ItalDesign and Ghia, it has since been subsumed into a larger auto group. Ford ended up with it under its umbrella when it took over De Tomaso, and has since used the moniker for a number of concept cars. Now the name is back in the form of a new upscale sub-brand for the European market.
The first new model to receive the Vignale treatment is the Mondeo, which Ford unveiled here at the Frankfurt Motor Show in both sedan and wagon forms. Positioned above the Titanium trim, the Vignale model gets such special touches as chrome trim and a quilted leather interior, Vignale badges replacing any mention of the Mondeo on which it's based. It also gains an ownership experience - including free car washes for life! - to befit the upscale positioning.
Under the bright spotlights above the show floor, the Nocciola metallic brown paint might not be the most photogenic, but will likely give the Vignale edition a more premium look when it hits European dealers and roads in 2015. Whether it'll be worth however much Ford asks for it, however, remains to be seen. Scroll down below for the official press release.

MyFord Touch getting second update, extended warranty

Wed, 28 Nov 2012

There is no doubt that Ford has had its hands full fielding complaints with its MyFord Touch and MyLincoln Touch systems these days, but looking to keep its customers happy, Ford is once again upgrading its infotainment systems and extending the warranties. Despite having just sent out updates for its systems back in March, Automotive News says that customers are still complaining about the speed and ease of use.
Vehicles with MyFord Touch will now get a five-year, unlimited-mile warranty, while the MyLincoln Touch will have a six-year, unlimited-mile warranty. Previously, the systems were covered under basic warranties (three-year, 36,000-mile for Ford and four-year, 60,000-miles for Lincoln).
What is being referred to as "version 3.5" for the MyFord Touch and MyLincoln Touch systems will be mailed out (or downloaded) next month for owners of cars without navigation and in January for cars with nav. Owners of hybrids, plug-ins and electric vehicles will get the update sometime in the first quarter of next year.

Spy shooter claims proof of upcoming aluminum Ford F-Series Super Duty

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

Ford has already confirmed that the 2015 F-150 (pictured above) was just the beginning for its more extensive use of aluminum. CEO Alan Mulally said it himself during the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. We've even already seen the future Raptor testing with an aluminum body. But a recent discovery from an intrepid spy photographer might indicate that the lightweight metal is coming to the Blue Oval's Super Duty pickups in their upcoming generation, as well.
According to Automotive News, a spy shooter in Colorado spotted a prototype for the next-gen F-350 testing. He happened to have a magnet on hand and got close enough to check the truck out. When he held it up to the metal in the bed, it didn't stick, which signaled to him a switch from steel to aluminum.
Obviously, this claim raises some questions. Given that it was a test vehicle, one possibility is that the Blue Oval is just evaluating the feasibility of switching to aluminum for the Super Duty trucks, not necessarily committed to it yet. Ford has been testing it quite exhaustively, after all. In fact, much of the rest of the truck in question was covered in camouflage, so it's possible that the magnet failed to work along the rest of the body not because it was aluminum, but because it wasn't powerful enough to get through the disguising material. Thus, the lightweight metal's use could be far less substantial than on the new F-150. Still, it was a clever idea for the cameraman to check things out and might have given us the first hint about brand's next heavy-duty models.
