If you are looking for a "head-turning" 1993 Mustang Limited Edition Cobra then this is the car for you. This Vibrant Red rare Fox-Bodied Cobra has only 14,374 actual miles. I purchased it in 1994 with only 2,153 miles from the fanatical original owner. This beautiful Cobra has all the desirable options, high performance tires w/ cast aluminum rims; remote control mirrors; tinted glass; rear spoiler; leather seats w/lumbar support; AM/FM stereo w/CD player and clock; illuminated visor mirrors; 5.0L super-high performance V-8 engine; 5-speed manual transmission; traction-lock axle; power steering; power front and rear disc brakes; driver's side air bag; 4-way power driver's seat; rear window defroster; perma-plate paint protection; TST tough screen fabric protection and dealer installed stone gaurds. This car is immaculate except for several small bug spots on front bumper and speakers "pop" once, every four bars of volume. My Cobra has not been modified in any way and even has the original exhaust and tires. Purchase includes window sticker; authenticity certificate; owners manual; plastic keys; 1993 Ford source book; extra Cobra emblems; extra set of new floor mats. Remember they did not make many of the fox-bodied Cobras and many of them have been highly abused and modified plus many of them have been exposed to the elements and quite a few have been driven in snow and ice. Find out if the Ford Fiesta ST can match Europe's latest hot hatches
Tue, 11 Feb 2014The V8 grunt of the Mustang has defined Ford performance cars in the US for the last 50 years, but in Europe, the Blue Oval has nearly as a long history of building some of the best hot hatches on the market with the Fiesta, Escort and later the Focus. The latest Fiesta ST has just hit the roads on both sides of the pond and has been enthusiastically received thanks to its combination of a peppy, turbocharged engine and hatchback utility.
However, Europe is getting a bumper crop of hot hatches at the moment, including the forthcoming, third-generation Mini Cooper S. Should Ford have waited to launch the ST until it knew how the competition performed? That's the answer that Xcar is after in its latest video, and it took the Fiesta to the track and some very misty, Welsh roads to find out. Scroll down to find out whether the ST stacks up.
Ford adding stop-start to all major model lines
Sun, 24 Nov 2013Ford has gone all-in on its efforts to offer most of its new vehicles with a fuel-efficient EcoBoost engine, but the automaker is reportedly preparing to take another big step toward improving vehicle efficiency. Automotive News is reporting that Ford will soon expand the availability of start-stop technology, which was first offered - presumably the first non-hybrid vehicle, that is - on the 2013 Fusion (equipped with the 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine) as a $295 option.
The benefit of start-stop is reduced fuel consumption as it shuts the engine off at long stops, and AN quotes Ford as saying that drivers can save more than $1,000 on fuel costs over five years. Despite this, the option hasn't been popular on the Fusion thus far, but it could be more beneficial on bigger vehicles like the F-150. Ford also said that the next-gen Edge, which was previewed in concept form at the LA Auto Show, will be equipped with auto start-stop to help make the EcoBoost engines even more efficient.
Ford C-Max, Fusion hybrids subject of MPG lawsuit in California
Fri, 01 Mar 2013A California lawsuit over the fuel economy claims for the 2013 Ford C-Max was first reported back in December. Based on the numerous reports we've heard of disgruntled owners failing to get their car's EPA fuel economy ratings on the C-Max and 2013 Fusion Hybrid, we suspected there would be more to this story. The Detroit News is reporting that two California law firms are combining their lawsuits against Ford on this matter for "false and misleading" claims.
The article states that there are hundreds of C-Max and Fusion Hybrid owners who have joined the lawsuit, but the issue isn't limited to customers. In December, Consumer Reports extensively tested both the Fusion Hybrid and C-Max and found that both hybrids performed significantly worse than their EPA claims. This all comes just a few months after Hyundai and Kia took the unprecedented step of lowering the fuel economy ratings for all of their 2012 and 2013 model-year vehicles.
