This is a 1993 mustang LX 5.0 notchback. The car is in great shape and is reliable as a clock. I use the car daily and is truely a great "daily driver" It has ICE COLD air conditioning and hot heat. Everything works as it should  power windows, cruise control etc. The door loks are the only power option that is inop.

The engine is a 302 5.0 HO , it has 135k miles and does not smoke or knock or overheat , It is all stock with the exception of a BBK cold air kit.The rear main seal does have a leak as many 5 liters do and should be replaced. The transmission shifts as it should and does not slip, It was rebuilt by the previous owner. The exhaust is a BBK high flow 2 1/2 inch catalytic h-pipe that goes into a 2 1/2 inch Flowmaster American thunder cat back with stainless tail pipes. It sounds great. overall the whole drivetrain is a reliable package that has never let me down !

The body of the car is rust free as can be seen in the pics. All of the body panels are original with vin tags intact.  It has been repainted  and shines well but I would not say it is a show quality paint job as there are flaws in the prep work that can be seen up close. It has a small spot on the deck lid that has a rust spot but has not gone through nor does it flake. I have included a close up pic . The doors , quarters, fenders fraim rails and floors are free of any rot and rust. It is a very solid car. The rest of the car is pretty staright and has its has some scratches and small dings but nothing major. Overall i would say the car is very presentable.

The rims are Wheel replicas 1993 cobra  that have black centers and polished caps and lips, The tires are low on tread all around and will need replacement soon . There is no curbage on the wheels at all

The interior is in great shape with no major tears or rips, the driver bolster is a bit worn but not ripped. the dash is in great shape too. The drivers side map pocket on the door is missing . The car has a pioneer deck with a harmon Kardon Ipod controller on the center console. The ashtray door will need replacement also. The tint is not faded and was professionaly done 6 months ago. The rear speakers are not installed in the deck but are included

I have tried to describe the notchback as best as i could. If you have any questions please ask before bidding .If you are local I encourage  you to stop by for a test drive. There is no warranty or gaurentee expressed or implied and the car is sold AS-IS . A 500.00 non -refundable deposit is due via pay pal 24 hrs of auctions end. Shipping and pickup is buyer responsibility. Thanks for looking and good luck

Motor Trend pits Camaro 1LE vs Mustang with Performance Pack, surprises ensue

Thu, 16 Oct 2014

With the 2015 Ford Mustang firmly on the scene, the inevitable comparisons with its arch rival, the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro are just starting to trickle out. Over the next several months, you're likely to be inundated by every outlet's muscle car comparison, whether it be the turbocharged Ford against the V6 Chevy, a V8-powered convertible comparo or what we have here, a competition between each vehicle's performance upgrade.
Motor Trend has pitted the Camaro SS 1LE against a Mustang with the GT Performance Pack for a comprehensive series of comparisons on the test stage, street and finally, at Willow Springs with ace Randy Pobst behind the wheel. As per usual, we aren't about to spoil this one for you.
So, hit the play button, have a look and then let us know what you think in Comments.

Justin Bell makes a horrible policeman

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

If you're wondering what type of person makes a good police officer, it seems a racecar driver doesn't. Let us rephrase that: Justin Bell, a racecar driver and the host of Motor Trend's World's Fastest Car Show, recently got behind the wheel of a 5.0-liter Ford Mustang police car with Sergeant Daniel Shrubb, co-founder of DRAGG (Drag Racing Against Gangs and Graffiti), and proved that his high-performance-driving skillset is a bit too aggressive for police duty.
While it's easy to get carried away in a Mustang GT, a patrol car driver must maintain some sort of restraint while pursuing a criminal, so as not to come off as a reckless driver to the public. We'll admit, some pursuit techniques are counter-intuitive to performance driving (stay off the gas in a lane-change exercise?), but Bell's judicious use of the handbrake can't be normal procedure.
Watch "The One With The Ford Mustang 5.0 Police Car" (yes, we caught the Friends reference too) below to see some shenanigans in one of Michigan's finest patrol cars.

Introducing the 1965 Ford Mustang

Sat, 24 Aug 2013

Put on your space suits and diving bell helmets, for it's time to step into a time capsule. The 50th anniversary of a historic model, like, say, the Porsche 911 this year, is certain to bring flights of nostalgia. This historical trip with the 1965 Mustang, though - preliminary hype for next year's anniversary, we know - is a swell museum exhibit for anyone who enjoys bygone days of the automobile.
Lee Iaccoca gave a speech to motoring journalists on April 1, 1964 at the New York World's Fair to introduce a sporty car for younger drivers. His opening line: "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to one of the proudest moments of our lives." The company was so excited by what it had made that the Mustang was Ford's first "International Press Introduction," being introduced to some 2,000 journos around the world on the same day in the US and 11 European cities. Even through its difficult points, no one at the time could have known how well the Mustang would acquit that pride.
After the intro, the press drove Mustangs 750 miles from New York to Dearborn, MI, reading press kits that touted features like the "vertical, three-sectional taillights/turn signals," "170" six-cylinder engine with 101 horsepower and the available Cruise-O-Matic transmission.
