1992 Ford Mustang Gt/cobra 5.0 302 6/15 Inspect Saleen Shelby Roush Boss 79-93 on 2040-cars
Brookhaven, Pennsylvania, United States
Selling my 1992 Mustang gt with 127,xxx miles. I've owned it for the last 5+ and have babied it since then. Only 500 adult driven miles in the last year+. It has a c-6 transmission which had a complete rebuild a year ago 500 miles put on since then, and comes with a one year warranty from time of rebuild. The engine also recently had a complete tune and clean up with the same miles put on since. Brand new battery less than a month old. Engine upgrades are cold air intake, new fuel injectors, new radiator and some unknowns from the previous owner. The person I bought it from said there was a good amount of work done by the previous owner but was not sure exactly what. The covers have been painted orange as you can see in the pictures so most likely it has some head work. Also the speedo runs high which inclines me to believe the gears and/or rear is upgraded. It's Much faster than any fox mustang Ive ever driven, a slight tap on the pedal and you're thrown back into your seat. The torque on this car is extreme, each shift from the c-6 trans jumps right into gear and you are whining out in third in seconds. Other mods to the car are automatic car starter which is great for cold winter days or upcoming hot summer months. Custom Harley Davidson orange paint job which. No major scratches dents or blemishes, a great 5 footer. New front and rear bumpers within the last year. Aftermarket American Racing rims. Cervani hood with hood pins. Rear wing. Custom orange and black front and rear seats. Triple gauge pod on drivers side pillar with volt, temp and oil pressure. Pioneer cd player. Car is lowered to give a mean stance/better handling. Rear sway bar. Mac shorty headers with full cat back, x-pipe, Pypes Violater mufflers and tailpipes, this mustang sounds amazing. Car has clean title in hand JUST INSPECTED 6/15 inspection and exempt emissions!(you know that's huge for these fox bodies) only thing car needed to pass inspection was rear brakes, a bulb and windshield wipers, so be confident when bidding. Issues with car-sunroof has been sealed due to leak, does not leak now(easy fix and gasket is included with car), radio doesn't get great reception(cd player works fine, to be honest i never listen to it, car sounds too nice) slight rough idle after driving for a little which im working on, should be fixed this week. Front passenger tire that is slightly flat in pictures was also just replaced. Located right outside Media, Pa. Any questions feel free to ask. This is an awesome car and am only selling because I am looking to buy an older 60s or 70s mustang, open to trades. Car is also for sale locally. Someone is getting a great car! Bidders with less than 10 feedback MUST message before bidding to know that you mean business. Car is being sold as is. Winning bidder will need to put 500$ deposit through paypal within 24 hours non refundable and the remaining balance will be paid by cash or cashiers check at my bank right down the road. Auto tag place is the next block over. If using paypal to pay remaining balance you will be held responsible to pay the fees as well. Will work with shipping company if you set everything up and ONLY after full balance is in my bank account. Any questions feel free to ask. Good luck and happy bidding !

Ford picks Fiesta ST, Transit Connect as this year's SEMA darlings
Sat, 02 Feb 2013SEMA is more than nine months away, but the reveille bugle for the show has just sounded with Ford's call to aftermarket companies for its project-vehicle program. The 2014 Ford Fiesta ST and 2014 Transit Connect van and wagon are the cars The Blue Oval wants to feature, but applicants can submit project vehicles for any product except the GT500, the Raptor, or anything from Lincoln.
Submissions must be completed in two parts, the first being an email to Ford with an overview of the project, like vehicle theme, promotional plan and location display. The second part must be mailed in on company letterhead and gets down to the nuts and bolts of the vision and the provision of company bona fides. The complete proposal is due on March 1, winners will be notified by May 1. Click the link below to get all the details, and for show attendees, get ready to see some funky Fiestas and wild shaggin' wagons in Las Vegas come November.
The 11 most expensive American cars ever
Tue, 12 Aug 2014Here's a Pro Tip for all you would-be classic car investors out there: buy Ferraris. With the Pebble Beach festivities kicking off this week, including any number high end car auctions, we thought it would be entertaining to compile a list of some to the most expensive cars ever sold with the bang of a gavel. Trouble is, once you get past the splendor of everyone's favorite Italian sports car maker, that list is pretty boring.
Ferrari dominates the all-time auction sales list; seven of the top ten most expensive cars sold wear the Cavallino Rampante badge, as well as more than half of the top fifty. Sure, a nearly $30-million Mercedes-Benz W196 racecar might be the new top dog as of last year, but it's even possible that Ferrari could take that title back in Monterey this weekend. Long story short: we think a list of the most expensive American cars ever sold at auction is a lot more entertaining to read. Hell, our list has a friggin' Batmobile on it, how can it go wrong?
Follow on below for the top ten cars that are red, white, blue and a whole lot of green.
Unrestored 1969 Shelby GT500 one of many classic barn finds going to auction
Wed, 19 Mar 2014We love a good barn find here at Autoblog. We like that there's a palpable excitement and sense of mystery surrounding barn finds. Each case has its own uniqueness to it, and this latest discovery is no different: an unrestored, one-owner 1969 Shelby GT500 with just 8,531 miles on it.
In the case of this particular barn find, many of the typical questions have already been answered. For example, we know who owned it - his name was Larry Brown. He recently passed away, and as he had no wife or children to inherit the estate, the car he purchased at Pennsylvania Ford dealer in May of 1969, will be auctioned off by Ron Gilligan Auctioneers.
The car was fastidiously maintained, having never been driven in the rain. In fact, Brown never even washed it, out of fear of it rusting. According to the auction website, the last time this car saw water was probably when it was detailed ahead of being delivered to Brown. If that doesn't sound like a fanatical sense of maintenance on the part of this GT500's owner, this next part will. The interior has been treated to a similarly painstaking attempt at preservation, with garbage bags covering the seats and two layers of floor mats over the carpets. The result is a car that, aesthetically, is in remarkable shape considering it's spent so long in a barn.
