THIS CAR HAS A PENNSYLVANIA TITLE. IT HAS BEEN NOTARIZED, STILL HAS THE WAIVER ON THE BOTTOM OF THE TITLE; IT HAS NOT BEEN SENT IN. THE CAR IS CURRENTLY IN DELAWARE; IT HAS JUST PASSED DELAWARE INSPECTION. WAS PURCHASED FROM PA WITH A BAD 5 SPEED TRANSMISSION. A USED, PERFECT SHIFTING 5 SPEED HAS BEEN INSTALLED WITH A NEW CLUTCH AND THROW OUT BEARINGS. THE CAR HAS MANY NUMEROUS NEW PARTS: AIR FILTER, BATTERY, CLUTCH, ALUMINUM RADIATOR, SERPENTINE BELT, THE MOTOR HAS HAD A NEW FELPRO GASKET SET ON THE TOP HALF WHICH INCLUDES HEADERS, INTAKE AND VALVE COVER GASKETS. Mustang Cobra Jet prototype garners $200k for charity at Barrett-Jackson
Wed, 02 Oct 2013A few weeks ago we brought you news of a one-off Mustang Cobra Jet that Ford was donating to charity. The car was set to be auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Now that auction has taken place, bringing in an impressive $200,000 for MS research.
That's a lot of zeros for a Mustang, much less one you can't even drive on the street. But the unique pony car, bearing serial number 2014 BJMS CJXX1, packs a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, competition gearbox, wheelie bar, roll cage... all you could want, in short, in a turn-key drag racer. And all that for a good cause.
Trump to meet with CEOs from Ford, GM, and FCA
Tue, Jan 24 2017In the wake of his inauguration, President Donald Trump is set to meet with the CEOs of Ford, General Motors, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Tuesday morning to discuss jobs, the North American Free Trade Agreement, and potential tax cuts. Trump has been highly critical of American automakers for shipping jobs to Mexico and has threatened to impose heavy import fees on foreign-made vehicles. Trump has threatened to dissolve NAFTA in order to encourage automakers to manufacture cars in the US. Automotive News and Crain's Detroit Business are reporting that the group is set to discuss how to bring more auto industry jobs back to the US. Under NAFTA, many automakers, both foreign and domestic, have moved vehicle production out of the States to Mexico in order to cut costs. White House spokesperson Sean Spicer said Trump is looking forward to the meeting and discussing how to bring jobs back to America. Dismantling NAFTA would be a major blow to automakers. Trump blasted Ford during his campaign for manufacturing in Mexico, but FCA and GM also have factories south of the border. Earlier this month, Ford nixed plans for a $1.6 billion plant in Mexico, instead investing $700 million into an existing facility. At this year's Detroit Auto Show, the unspoken theme was America and American manufacturing. Expect the automakers to fight to keep NAFTA alive. I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.
