1991 Ford Mustang Lx on 2040-cars
Fort Drum, New York, United States
I have a very nice 91 Mustang LX with a long list of tasteful modifications. I'm the third owner with a clear title and hate to sell it, going through some things with the wife. My loss is your gain. I just had it dyno tuned after all I did to it and the previous owner had a generic piggy back chip. Now it has the SCT chip and runs rich to play it safe. It has a Snow stage 3 kit to keep it clean and cool that I didn't even bump up the timing with the kit to achieve the goal of 500+, it hit that easily. I have the sheets attached to show it. This car's a beast, definitely the fastest I've ever been in.
- Full Aeromotive fuel system - Saleen upper intake - Trick Flow lower intake - BBK throttle body - Trick Flow heads - Vortech V1 S-Trim supercharger with 10 rib pulley - Boost tube with aluminum discharge tube - 36 pound injectors with FMU - Snow Stage 3 methanol injection system - Aluminum radiator - AC delete - New Centerforce clutch - Mickey Thompsons on slots, ET streets with Sportsmans - Kenny Brown roll cage - Scatter shield - Drive shaft loop - The interior really sets it off with, - Saleen Flofit seats - All black interior - Shift light - Custom gauges - New headliner - All new weatherstripping Obviously it has more modifications than I listed, just hit on the basics. It did start a leak on the transmission over the winter and puts a drop out every 2 days while sitting. Probably the input seal and I just don't have the time to do it. Contact me if you have more questions, On Apr-07-14 at 13:47:51 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to add the numbers, 554 HP and 571 Torque. It also has a 331 stroker in it. |

Bacon-wrapped Ford Fiesta hams it up for International Bacon Day
Wed, 28 Aug 2013This is a bacon-wrapped Ford Fiesta. It is a real thing, that a real, multi-billion-dollar company designed. And it isn't even April Fools' Day. Designed for International Bacon Day, which is also apparently a thing, the 2014 Fiesta is finished in Green Envy paint - we're told black paint, like the color of a skillet, made the car look camouflaged - and features 10 gigantic decals depicting strips of tender, cured bacon.
The design, which was approved by the CEO of Benton's Country Hams, Allan Benton, show off the depth of Ford's Custom Graphics program. Unbelievably, Ford will actually start offering bacon decals to everyday customers, including (and we can't believe we're writing this) dual bacon racing stripes which will no doubt have Carroll Shelby spinning and/or salivating in his grave, and a "side of bacon," which wraps a couple of strips over the rear wheels.
Benton, who Ford claims is the King of Bacon, had this to say: "This car just makes so much sense." The Fiesta's marketing manager, Liz Elser added, "It's just awesome to drive down the road in a piece of bacon."
Why Edmunds took a sledgehammer to its 2015 Ford F-150
Tue, Jan 27 2015The discussion around repair bills for the aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 pickup continued from the beginning of last year to the end, and haven't abated; as an aside, some Tesla Model S owners have been shocked at disquieting repair estimates for minor damage to their aluminum wunder-sedans. Edmunds decided to inject some fact into the fray: it bought a $52,000 long-term 2015 F-150 and clouted it with an eight-pound sledgehammer. Twice. The rear of the bedside took the impacts since it couldn't be replaced, it would have to be repaired. To the pickup's credit, the only reason associate editor Travis Langness hit it twice was that the first sledgehammer blow didn't do as much damage as Edmunds wanted. After the second, the visible damage included the two direct impacts, a few creases, and a cracked taillight, so they drove the pickup to Santa Monica Ford to get an estimate, complete with a fictitious story about how the damage occurred and the mercy plea that Langness was paying for the repair out-of-pocket. In Part 2 Langness hits on some of the details with getting the truck fixed, such as the massively expensive taillight and the list of tools Ford recommends dealers have to work on aluminum. But he was promised he'd have his truck back in seven days, and Santa Monica Ford got it back to him in seven days. In Part 3 we get the bill. It's not small, but it's quite a bit less than it could have been if the service manager had charged Edmunds the official labor rate for aluminum. We're not going to spoil it here, so check out the videos above and below for the beginning and the end, and head over to Edmunds for the complete story about how it all happened and some riffing on the repair numbers.
