WE BOUGHT THE MUSTANG WHEN IT WAS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD, FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND HAVE KEPT IT UP, MAINTAINED IT PROPERLY AND ENJOYED IT FOR MANY
YEARS BUT WE HAVE FINALLY DECIDED TO SELL OUR MUSTANG BECAUSE WE SIMPLY DO NOT USE IT ANYMORE AND IT IS JUST SITTING IN THE GARAGE, NOT BEING USED,
ENJOYED AND SHOWN OFF AS IT SHOULD BE. IT IS TIME FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO GIVE THIS GREAT CAR A NEW HOME, WHERE IT WILL BE APPRECIATED, LOVED AND ENJOYED,
AS WE HAVE. A RECENT NEW TOP HAS NEW REAR GLASS (NOT PLASTIC) & NEW PADS. NEW INTERIOR CARPET, PANELS AND SOME SEAT PLEATS REALLY MAKES IT LOOK SHARP
. A/C HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO THE NEW TYPE GAS. ALL WINDOW MOTORS REPLACED IN THE LAST FEW YEARS. NEW RADIATOR AND WATER PUMP WITH NEW HEATER
CORE AND RECENTLY REPLACED INTAKE MANIFOLD. RECENTLY REPLACED EXHAUST FROM 'CATS-BACK' THAT LOOK ORIGINAL BUT SLIGHTLY LARGER PIPES GIVE IT A SLIGHTLY
DEEPER SOUND WITHOUT BEING TOO LOUD.

Long winter means most automakers won't curb summer shutdown
Sun, 18 May 2014A lot more happened during this latest brutal winter than days of snow and Netflix binges. Automotive sales took a battering. After all, going out car shopping when it's eleventy-billion degrees below zero isn't a good time.
Because of this Old Man Winter-induced sales slump, inventories are abnormally high as we head into the summer car buying season. That's led some analysts to predict that automakers will be more inclined to idle factories this summer, in a bid to trim some of the built-up inventory. Traditionally, American manufacturers offer up a two-week break in the middle of summer, although the burgeoning sales of the past few years have seen this practice become less popular.
"We're likely not going to see an acceleration this year," Jeff Schuster, a senior vice president at LMC Automotive, told The Detroit News. "We'll see production increases in 'pockets' but I don't know if it will be as widespread as in recent years."
J Mays retiring from Ford design, succeeded by Moray Callum
Tue, 05 Nov 2013Ford's highly influential head of design, J Mays, has announced that he'll be retiring from his position after 33 years in the industry, 16 of which were at the Dearborn, MI-based company. Upon departure, he'll be succeeded as group vice president of design by Moray Callum. If that last name sounds familiar, yes, he's the brother of Jaguar's Ian Callum.
It's difficult to explain just how big of a role Mays had on not just Ford's design over the years, but on the entire industry. Before heading to Dearborn, Mays worked for Audi, BMW and then Volkswagen, where he was involved in concept cars that paved the way for design icons like the first-generation Audi TT and the Volkswagen New Beetle. As for his Ford resume, it's extensive.
Mays joined the company in 1997 as design director for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda, as well as the Premier Automotive Group (Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin). He was heavily involved in the Ford Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, Taurus, F-150 and Mustang, while also contributing to concept cars like the Atlas, Evos, 427, Forty-Nine, Shelby GR-1, Lincoln MKZ and the MKC.
2013 Ford Explorer Sport
Thu, 04 Apr 2013When one speaks of sporty and fun-to-drive utility vehicles, few would put the Ford Explorer in the same category as the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, BMW X5 or Porsche Cayenne. Yet, with just a few reservations, I'd toss the new-for-2013 Ford Explorer Sport close to that arena for consideration.
As a recap, the sportiest of Explorers is fitted with Ford's twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6, making 365 horsepower and 350 pound feet of torque. Acceleration is brisk (figure about 7 seconds to 60 miles per hour), as power goes to all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. Contributing to its more athletic demeanor are larger front brakes, a sport-tuned suspension, chassis upgrades, quicker steering ratio and a more aggressive wheel/tire package. Cosmetically, the Sport is distinguished by its blacked-out lights, black trim and noticeable lack of chrome (with the exception of the door handles).
Ford recently handed me the keys to a Ruby Red Metallic Explorer Sport. Rather than mindlessly drive the big seven-passenger all-wheel drive hauler in soccer mom circles around Los Angeles, I loaded up my family and embarked on a long weekend road trip to Yosemite National Park.
