Up for sale is a 1990 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L. I bought this car from Florida with all intentions to restore it. This is an original GT not an LX conversion. This car has recently been inspected, registered, and is currently driveable in the state of Texas. I do not have the time to complete the restoration so I'm selling to someone who may be able too. The vehicle starts with no issues. The vehicle has some minor aftermarket modifications like MSD ignition, 3.73 gears, CAI, disk brake conversion, lowered suspension, and also 5 lug conversion with pony wheels. The center caps where stolen from previous owner. I have replaced the exhaust and had the cats put back on from the previous set up to pass inspection. The emergency brake has been repaired so it no longer has to be in gear to not move when parked. The engine is original with 93,142 miles. The mileage will change as I will be driving car to get a tune up. The interior shows its age but is in fairly decent condition. There are no rips in the seats or cracks in the dashboard. The A/C is still intact but will need a compressor. There is no radio and all four tires will need to be replaced. There are no cracks or chips in any of the glass. The driver side door cannot be opened from the outside but does open from the inside. A bushing or hook needs to be replaced. There is rust on the vehicle from previous owner, which you can see in the photos. The vehicle has a factory T-5 transmission and is a 5 speed. The car has a new battery and has the LX tail lights. The vehicle has power windows which are functional. There are only one set of keys. I do have title in hand. This vehicle is sold AS IS WITH NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. This is a good project car for any Mustang enthusiast. This car has not been raced or been in any accidents while in my possession. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time as the car is being sold locally. I have described the car to the best of my ability. If there are any questions, please ask before you bid. If you decide to ship the vehicle, it is the buyers responsibility to select their own shipping company and make arrangements. DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE FUNDS. If you have a rating of zero or below please check with me before you bid or it will be deleted. A non refundable deposit of $500.00 is due within 48 hrs of auction ending through Paypal. There is no reserve, car is priced to sell. Thank You and Happy Bidding.

Shelby Cobra, Mercedes 300SL and 1947 Woodie from Petersen Museum headed to auction
Mon, 29 Jul 2013The changes happening at the Petersen Museum have been making the rounds in major press, but it probably won't be until August 18, during Pebble Beach, when we get the full story on what's happening; that's where and when museum reps plan on announcing the way forward for the SoCal institution. In the meantime, the museum is still reorganizing its collection, and that means auctioning some of its showpieces at this weekend's Auctions America event in Burbank.
Three of the stars are a 1964 Shelby Cobra 289, one of less than 20 produced with a three-speed C-4 automatic transmission, a 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300SL owned by actor Robert Stack and the last 1948 Ford Sportsman 'Woodie' ever produced. The Cobra, now restored to its original white exterior and red leather interior, was a factory demonstrator that first sold for $5,250. Showing just 38,950 miles on the odometer, its pre-sale estimate is $800,000 to $1 million.
The 300SL is actually a 1957 model but wasn't titled until Robert Stack took possession in 1960. The lead actor in the The Untouchables TV series used to drive by the Sunset Boulevard Mercedes dealership to ogle the car, but couldn't justify spending the money to buy it. When he and the producer of The Untouchables won Emmys for the show, the producer, who happened to be Desi Arnaz, bought the car for Stack. He owned it his whole life, it has been left as Stack drove it and still bears the California license plate "UNTCHBL."
MyFord Touch getting buttons and knobs back to counter criticisms
Mon, 17 Jun 2013Ford deserves credit for being a front-runner in offering advanced infotainment technology with its Sync and MyFord Touch systems, but continued consumer complaints over its confusing touchscreen interface and capacitive controls has made the automaker relent. The Wall Street Journal reports that physical buttons and knobs for controlling tuning and volume will be coming back to Ford vehicles equipped with the controversial infotainment system.
The 2013 F-150 with MyFord Touch gives us a glimpse of what the new layout with buttons and knobs might look like, as Ford says a similar balance of touch screen capability and buttons/knobs are what's being planned for future models. And, while capacitive controls have no fans in the halls of Autoblog, many of Ford's models with MyFord Touch do have a large physical knob for adjusting volume with integrated buttons for tuning and advancing tracks, though most of those are models with the optional upgraded Sony Audio system. Lincoln models with MyLincoln Touch, however, feature only capacitive controls for all stereo and climate functions.
Despite receiving enough complaints to throw buttons and knobs back into the mix (a move that reminds us of BMW's iDrive trajectory, among others), Ford reports that Sync and MyFord Touch have still been sold on 79 percent of its 2013 model year vehicles, a number it claims is double the rate that Honda and Toyota are getting for their infotainment systems. Ford also states that owners who do opt for the duo of technologies are more satisfied with overall vehicle quality than those who don't have it.
Dealers price gouging Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition by up to $20k [UPDATE]
Wed, Feb 11 2015UPDATE: Sheehy Ford's Cory Belcher got back to us, confirming that the price premium was related to the limited nature of the 50th Anniversary Mustang and that the figure listed was based on what other dealers were charging, while adding that the dealership was "very flexible" on the final price of the special edition car. So while there remains a hefty markup, it's possible that consumers could get out the door without spending quite so much over MSRP. It's no secret that dealers take some – let's call them "liberties" – with the prices on vehicles that are very new, highly in demand or available in very limited numbers. As we've explained before, they're well within their rights to charge so-called market value adjustments. We don't usually see these adjustments on mainstream vehicles, though. Then again, you could argue that the 2015 Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition is not necessarily a mainstream vehicle. It starts at $46,170, which isn't peanuts, but it's still a Mustang. There's still a large portion of the buying public that could put one in their driveway, if they so chose. Then again, maybe they can't. That's because dealers are (still) issuing massive premiums on top of MSRP for the limited-edition model. It's happening at Sheehy Ford Gaithersburg, where a salesperson named Lou confirmed to Autoblog that the dealership is charging around $20,000 over MSRP on not one, but two Anniversary Editions. He explained that Sheehy isn't alone in the upcharge: "We like to see what other dealers are asking for," he told us, in reference to the limited edition 'Stang. We have a message in for the dealership's general manager for deeper info, too, and will update this post when/if we hear back. We corroborated Lou's story, though, with another Maryland area dealer, Century Ford, who confirmed that the $46,995 listed on the dealer's website for its Wimbledon White Anniversary car was incorrect, and the actual price was "around $64,000." He echoed Lou's reasoning for the upcharge, while adding that dealers are likely only going to see one or two examples, of the 1,964 produced. Perhaps the most worrying part of this entire affair is the sense of deceit that accompanies it. Neither of the dealers we spoke to copped to the market value adjustments on their website. We had to call and ask specifically about the cars in question to get the actual price.
