I purchased this car off the original owner, i have the original title and window sticker, plus all booklets and records. The man was a retired gentleman who always stored the car in the garage, the car has only been adult owned and babied. I just changed the tires and rims, the last tires been on since 1993 and had over 81,000 miles on them, in other words this car had probably never seen many if any burnouts! I put chrome cobra rims on that had the center caps chromed too, and the tires are in excellent condition with an alignment that was just done. Car has never had anyone smoke in it. I put a full stainless steel pypes exhaust system on it, headers, catless x-pipe, and violators cat back. I also had 3.73 gears professionaly installed. New 5.0 pro shifter, 70mm throttle body, cold air intake, electric fan, and smog pump delete. Otherwise car is competely stock. I have every stock part except for the cat back of exhaust. original rims are in excellent condition. Windshield has one stone chip and the oil pan leaks a little oil. I drive the car daily so the miles do go up. People stop me almost every where i go and cant believe how nice the car is for a original. Its the nicest original mustang i personally have ever seen! The paint only has minor stone chips, it had a bra on it since it was new, i removed it because i thought it looked ugly. Payment is to be paid in cash in person and car is to be picked up by the buyer. please call, email or come look at the car before bidding if you have any questions. I have sold my last mustang on here so please check the feedback the buyer left. I am 100% honest about my vehicles. 1-802-793-3212. Call or text with questions.

Preposed class-action lawsuit targets 'defective' MyFord Touch

Tue, 16 Jul 2013

A national law firm, Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, has filed a proposed class action lawsuit whose presupposition is that MyFord Touch is defective. Specifically, the complaint states that the system - as well as the MyLincoln Touch and MyMercury Touch clones - often freeze, fail to respond to voice or touch commands and have issues connecting to mobile phones.
According to Hagens Berman managing partner Steve Berman, MyFord Touch is a theoretically "brilliant idea" that falls short in actual execution. Said Berman in a press release, "In reality, the system is fundamentally flawed, failing to reliably provide functionality, amounting to an inconvenience at best, and a serious safety issue at worst."
Other MFT issues enumerated within the 41-page filing include problems controlling the window defroster, rear-view camera and navigation system. The suit maintains that Ford is aware of the problem but has yet to submit a workable and acceptable solution to MFT customers. Scroll down if you'd like to read the full press release.

Ford's J Mays feels vindicated by Fusion reception

Tue, 25 Sep 2012

It's hard to think back now, but the same man overseeing the design of the 2013 Ford Fusion also presided over a rather lackluster period in Ford design, highlighted by vehicles like the Five Hundred and Freestyle. With the redesigned Fusion receiving high praise, J Mays tells Automotive News that he feels vindicated from criticisms suggesting he's not a daring enough designer.
When Mays took over as lead of design in 1997, he admits to having quite an ego ("My head would barely fit through the door some days. I've long since gotten over myself") and the workload to match. With the Blue Oval's portfolio full of premium brands like Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo at that point, along with the bread-and-butter Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models, Mays certainly had quite the challenge.
It was in the mid-2000s that Mays took over just the premium brands, and took on the new title of Chief Creative Officer. At the time, Mays endured some criticism for looking backwards to retro styling, rather than setting a new standard for American car design - criticism that Mays says he is free from with the all-new Fusion.

NHTSA closes rollaway investigation into 1.56M Ford SUVs

Mon, 11 Mar 2013

It's taken four years of study, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has finally closed the books on its investigation into rollaway accusations surrounding 1.56-million Ford SUV models.
The probe, which centered on the 2002-2005 Ford Explorer, 2002-2005 Mercury Mountaineer and 2003-2005 Lincoln Aviator, ends without the federal agency calling for a recall. According to The Detroit News, the investigation was closed due to a "low number of complaints" - NHTSA documented 180 such complaints that resulted in 14 crashes and six minor injuries, but the number of incidents have been slowing. The suspected defect rate for the trucks' automatic transmissions was found to be 4.4 per 100,000 units, and the brake-shift interlock mechanism failure rate was judged to be even lower at 3.4 per 100k.
