Up for sale is a extremely clean, fun, fast foxbody mustang.  This GT came from California (as the title states to prove it), so no rust whatsoever, check out the underside pictures.  No accidents, laser straight body with 3 year old professionally done paint that is dent, scratch, crack, and flaw free, shines like a mirror. This was done right and included complete panel removal so all door and hatch jambs, underside of hood and hatch are fresh.  At time of repaint new front and rear bumper covers, complete weatherstripping(doors, hatch and sunroof), headlight lenses, cowl cover, and FORD emblems where installed.   Minor paint chips in lower side ground effects behind wheels only.  Speaking of wheels they are new chrome "Pony" 5 stars with like new rubber and zero curb rash.

One year old interior including new carpet, headliner, sun visors, door sills, speaker grills, and TMI "pony" upholstery front and back.  Aftermarket stereo consisting of Kenwood head unit feeding two amps, one that powers all new Infinity speakers in doors, dash, and rear seat area, the other amp powers the two subs in the hatch.

Engine is pretty much stock and runs great with no knocks, ticks or smoke.  It does have BBK cold air intake, underdrive pullies, new 100amp alternator, aluminum radiator, electric fan, a/c has been deleted, shorty headers, 2 1/2" off road H pipe, edelbrock mufflers and 2 1/2" tailpipes.  Sounds fantastic with a nice muscular tone throughout the rpm range.  T5 transmission shifts perfectly and very tight with a Ram clutch and a short throw shifter.  Has welded in sub-frame conectors and the 8.8" rear axle has 4.10 gears and a recent service including shimming diff for nice solid posi.  I had new ball joints, front struts and brakes, rear shocks and ford motorsport B 1.5" lowering springs installed last year along with alignment also.

Well I think that about does it, basically one of the cleanest foxes your going to find and i guarantee the cheapest for what you are getting.  My reserve is less than the paint, interior and wheels alone.  My loss your gain, I have owned it for 9 years and only driven it about 1500 miles, just time for another project for me.  Clean and clear title that states it was "Previously titled in CA".  This thing is ready for car shows and cruise night or maybe your big stroker motor!

Payment to consist of $500 paypal deposit within 48hrs of auction end, and remainder due in form of cash, or cashiers bank check to clear before delivery of vehicle.

Thanks for reading and happy bidding.

Delivery available for extra fee.
I do have it for sale locally, therefore reserve the right to end auction early.

Ford Police Interceptor with 2.0L EcoBoost rated most fuel-efficient police sedan

Tue, 26 Nov 2013

Back in September, Ford announced a non-pursuit version of its Police Interceptor Sedan, which swaps out a choice of two V6 engines for a fuel-efficient 2.0-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder. This Special Service Police Sedan will be marketed to law enforcement agencies looking to cut fuel costs and don't need the extra power.
For college campuses, detectives and the like, this new police car has now been certified with EPA fuel economy estimates of 20 miles per gallon in the city, 32 mpg on the highway and a combined rating of 24 mpg. These figures represent a decrease of two mpg in city and combined ratings compared to the civilian-spec 2014 Taurus. These police cars still offer active grille shutters for better aerodynamics, although we're guessing agencies upfitting their cars with light bars and push bumpers aren't exactly concerted with aerodynamics. The true benefit of the SSP version is when it's compared against other police sedan options like the Dodge Charger, Chevy Impala, Chevy Caprice and even the V6 Police Interceptor Sedan.
Ford claims the new Police Interceptor Sedan SSP is the most fuel-efficient current option for police departments, saying that this car can save $1,720 per car over three years and almost $260,000 over the same span of time for fleets with 150 vehicles. There is an official press release posted below, and also check out the gallery of images from Ford collected from various police agencies across the US (although none show the 2.0-liter SSP model). Head on over to Ford's Police Interceptor mini-site for even more pictures of the Police Interceptor Sedan and Utility.

Lincoln trumpets $129M investment, 300 new jobs in Louisville for MKC

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

Remember when we used to talk about how close Lincoln was to being axed and how it seemed any day now the Grim Reaper would use it as a car service back to the grave? Last time we did it was, oh, not even a month ago. What a difference 27 days makes: Ford and Lincoln are trumpeting a $129M investment in the Louisville Assembly Plant that builds the MKC.
In July the MKC was the third-best-selling Lincoln of the brand's six offerings, beat by the MKZ and - by a much smaller margin - the MKX. It has sold 2,895 units in the two months it's been on sale, which is more than half the year-to-date sales of the MKS, MKT and Navigator. It's already important, is what we're trying to say, and this is before the Chinese market gets a crack at it later this year.
The money headed to Kentucky will be joined by 300 new workers, another marker in Ford's march to create 12,000 hourly jobs in the US by next year. You can read more about it in the press release below.

180,000 new vehicles are sitting, derailed by lack of transport trains

Wed, 21 May 2014

If you're planning on buying a new car in the next month or so, you might want to pick from what's on the lot, because there could be a long wait for new vehicles from the factory. Locomotives continue to be in short supply in North America, and that's causing major delays for automakers trying to move assembled cars.
According to The Detroit News, there are about 180,000 new vehicles waiting to be transported by rail in North America at the moment. In a normal year, it would be about 69,000. The complications have been industry-wide. Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Ford all reported experiencing some delays, and Chrysler recently had hundreds of minivans sitting on the Detroit waterfront waiting to be shipped out.
The problem is twofold for automakers. First, the fracking boom in the Bakken oil field in the Plains and Canada is monopolizing many locomotives. Second, the long, harsh winter is still causing major delays in freight train travel. The bad weather forced trains to slow down and carry less weight, which caused a backup of goods to transport. The auto companies resorted to moving some vehicles by truck, which was a less efficient but necessary option.
