Bought this 86 GT with the intention of restoring it.
Condition: Both doors are rusted at the bottom welds and are weak in spots. The listing will include replacement doors. The replacements are blue and rust free. The original doors are hand crank windows while the replacements had electronic controls. The motors have been removed and are not included. I bought them that way and was informed that the hand crank mechanisms are able to be transferred.
The hatch is rusted through under the spoiler. The listing will include a replacement hatch as well. Blue in color, rust free.
A new set of locks with keys included so that the keys will match.
The rest of the body is in decent condition.
The 5.0 runs great and starts quickly. Transmission shifts flawlessly.
Tires will need to be replaced as they are worn and the rear two do not hold air for long.
At this time I would not deem the vehicle road worthy as the brakes are weak. Will do what I can to cooperate with any shipping company of your choosing.
On Jul-06-13 at 09:50:11 PDT, seller added the following information:
Both doors are in similar condition as well as the hatch.

Ford calling in 28k Edge crossovers over fuel line leak
Thu, 16 Jan 2014A problem with the fuel line on certain examples of the Ford Edge has prompted the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to issue a recall. The issue revolves around the metal housing on the fuel line pulse damper, which was apparently improperly manufactured in the first place and is prone to crack in certain circumstances, leading to a fuel leak. And as we all know, a fuel leak is not a good thing.
The problem affects model year 2012 and 2013 Edge crossovers equipped with the 2.0-liter engine and manufactured between September 2, 2010 and April 25, 2013 - a total of 27,933 units. Although the Lincoln MKX is closely related to the Edge, since it isn't offered with the same engine (to which the problem is related), the recall does not include the premium-badged version. See the recall notice below for further details.
Do you guys like trucks?
Wed, Jan 17 2018Do you guys like trucks? If the answer is yes, boy do we have the show for you! The 2018 North American International Auto Show is lousy with 'em. Yeah, we saw the new Ram 1500, Chevy Silverado and Ford Ranger, but that's just scratching the surface. There are big trucks, little trucks, clean trucks, dirty trucks, old trucks, new trucks, red trucks, blue trucks. It's like a Dr. Seuss book. Anyway, we made a little video for you truck nuts (see what I did there?). Check it out above, and if you're looking for more serious coverage of the Detroit Auto Show, we've got it, along with a ton of images and other videos from the show floor. Enjoy! Project Ugly Horse alive and kicking at Road & Track
Thu, 29 Aug 2013The hallways of the Autoblog campus are much quieter now that Zach Bowman has taken his prose, along with his welders, wrenches and hammers, over to the digital pages of Road & Track, but that doesn't mean our favorite project Mustang is gone forever. Project Ugly Horse is still coming along, and Zach has gifted us another update on his unfoxy Fox Body.
Last we saw of the Ugly Horse, Zach was strengthening up the '89 Mustang's chassis as he prepares to stuff the turbocharged, direct-injected EcoBoost engine of a Ford Focus ST under the hood. First things first, the old mill must go. Head on over to Road & Track to catch the latest chapter of Project Ugly Horse.
