1985 Mustang Notchback 5.0 Fox Body on 2040-cars
Cumming, Georgia, United States
This was an original 4 cylinder mustang. A Freshly built 302 bored 30 over was swapped in late October of last year. Making this a 306. There are less than 1000 miles on it since the rebuild. The body of the car is good, dent and rust free ( there is a few minor surface rust), however it will need to be painted. Car also has the following small 225 hot cam, 3 inch aluminium intake, new 660 edelbrock carb, and ford 9 inch rear with 373 gears.
The transmission has just been replaced with a rebuilt t5 world class transmission that i had purchased from a local ford dealership and has less than 10 miles on it. The Brakes and the Rear gears have also been fully disassembled and cleaned. There was an oil and an exhaust leak, both of which have been fixed. I was told the clutch would need to be realigned but have not done that yet. have receipts for all recent work. Now for the bad: As you can see from the pics the interior needs some TLC. The dash pad is missing and there is no carpet in the car. Car also needs some minor things such as new speedo cable (synchro are good), visors, and a new rod inside the driver side door(only opens from outside). I DO HAVE brand new carpet purchased from late model restorations, along with the original visors(rough shape), Original rear view mirror (not attached) to go with the car. Will also throw in some replacement oem headlights. Car is drivable!!! Payment due on Pickup. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Please note I have this car listed locally and reserve the right to cancel auction at any point in time. Will consider local trades. |

Watch how a Ford Raptor rolls down the assembly line in Dearborn
Sun, 30 Mar 2014Bloomberg TV reporter Matt Miller is the proud new owner of a pretty killer truck. How do we know? The reporter headed to Dearborn, MI to Ford's assembly plant, with a film crew in tow, to see exactly how his new F-150 SVT Raptor and its mother-loving 6.2-liter V8 engine, was screwed together.
The resulting video does an excellent job of summing up how an assemblage of parts and pieces is turned into a triple-black Raptor, thanks to the work of some 1,000 employees and about 20 hours of real time. Click through below to see how the truck is born, with a surprise cameo playing the part of delivery driver at the end.
Amelia Island 2013: 50 years of the Ferrari-slaying Ford GT40
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Originally developed with the sole purpose of being a Ferrari rival to compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Ford GT40 became a prominent racing machine in the 1960s in both Europe and the US. Not wanting to leave such an important car out of the fun, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance also took time out from its other celebrations to recognize the 50-year anniversary of the GT40.
Over its short lifespan, the GT40 was offered in a handful of configurations, but the classic short-tailed (Mk I and Mk II) bodystyles were well represented... especially in Gulf livery. James Glickenhaus (of Ferrari P4/5 fame) had his bright yellow Mk IV in the field, and there were several others in this bodystyle, including one that has seen plenty of time on the track judging by its chipped-up nose.
As a fitting statement for the car's lengthy racing history, GT40 Chassis Number 1075 won this year's Concours de Sport award. This car took home the checkered flag at Le Mans in 1968 and 1969, and racked up a total of six wins in just 11 races.
