This is a 1980 Ford Mustang with 1989 trim has a 351 boss engine a 3 speed automatic transmission that was built for a trans brake. The interior is equipped with 6 point cage, 4 point harness, ABS headliner, power door locks, white Phantom autometer gauges, Hurst quarter stitch shifter, alpine radio and all alpine speakers all the way around , all new door handles and locks , driver and passenger racing seats (yellow is faded).  As seen in the photos, there is a 4 inch fiberglass cowl induction hood.  It is tubed out with Ford 9 inch w/410s, 2 1/2 inch flow master exhaust with electric header dumps wired to a toggle inside and Wildwood disc brakes all the way around.  There is a Flaming River front end and steering rack with knuckle, painless wiring harness that is 90% installed just some minor things left like the tail lights and looming the harness , transmission cooler and 5 core radiator, Barry Grant fuel system, Mickey Thompson et street radials 325/50 R 15s . adjustable strange ss struts and shocks , Weld Racing 5 star wheels and all stainless brake lines!

like the header said theres 20k in cash invested if not more! we bought the car as a running roller that need work and we took it to this point and have found other projects! this motor was built by someone we don't know so i have no history on it nor did we take it apart but it is a beast! the compression is very high in this motor and shakes the concrete floor! it's rumored to do 8's in the quarter and hang the front wheels allday long! i believe this with no dought but it's just not setup with the trans brake and tuned the right way to do it currently. this is a rust free straight car that was built very well! it needs a new home so my loss is your gain!

please contact me with any question you have before you buy thank you and good luck.

Your official Ford Transit specs are here, $29,565* to start

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

Ford has released the full list of pricing and specs on its new Transit, the replacement for the long-lived E-Series cargo van. Prices are set to start at $29,565 and can increase rapidly from there, depending on length, engine and wheelbase, among other options.
Let's talk first about those new engines. The base is the familiar 3.7-liter, naturally aspirated V6. It boasts 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and can return up to 14 miles per gallon in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. This engine can also be adapted to run on LPG or compressed natural gas. Of course, there are better alternatives, for a price, the first of which is Ford's well-received, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. It packs 310 hp and a best-in-class 400 lb-ft of torque (available at just 2,500 rpm) while matching the naturally aspirated engine in both city and highway fuel economy.
Then, there's the diesel. With a 3.2-liter, five-cylinder diesel mill at its disposal, the Transit generates 350 lb-ft between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm, along with 185 hp. This engine hasn't been rated by the EPA, although we'd be really, really surprised if it didn't handily best either of the gas-powered engines in fuel efficiency. A six-speed automatic is standard, regardless of engine.

Mysterious small Ford spied in Germany

Sat, 29 Jun 2013

Our spy photographers have just popped off a few shots of something curious. This little runabout was spotted in Germany out testing with a current-generation Ford Fiesta. We're fairly confident the machine is a Ford, but exactly which Ford model is up for debate. The hatchback could be the next-generation Ka, but we've also heard that the Blue Oval supermini might not get a replacement. Our shooter says the five-door is a bit smaller than the current Fiesta, though there is a chance that this rig is just an engineering mule for drivetrain development. Then again, it could be a model built specifically for the South African market or China, or not a Ford at all.
Whatever it is and wherever it's headed, you can check out in the gallery for a closer look before heading into Comments to weigh in with your best guess.

2015 Ford Focus ST gets sleeker style, improved dynamics

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

The Brits don't really have a major auto show these days. Not in a conventional sense, anyway, with stationary vehicles under floodlights in a closed exposition space. What they do have, you could argue, is much better: the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the public can view the latest machinery not only under an open sky, but in motion as well, speeding up Lord March's front lawn. And this year, British automakers are rolling in with some very enticing new metal.
In the past few days alone we've confirmed the McLaren 650S GT3 and MSO, Jaguar F-Type Project 7, Range Rover Sport SVR and Ariel Ace will all be revealed for the first time at Goodwood this weekend. Ford isn't, strictly speaking, a British automaker, but for all its history in the UK, it might as well. So it's chosen Goodwood as the site to unveil its refreshed Focus ST.
The upgraded Blue Oval hot hatch still packs a 2.0-liter turbo four with 252 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque driving through a six-speed manual to the front wheels, so we're not expecting much change in measurable performance. But Ford has given the new Focus ST a new front suspension setup and a new electric power-assisted steering rack that combine to promise improved handling.
