This car is a real nice cruiser. I've owned it for over 20 years, garage kept and maintained. 250 cid 6 cylinder C4 automatic transmission, power steering, manual brakes. 119K miles on the odometer. The head was rebuilt, lifters new, lower end of the engine is clean and tight, transmission professionally rebuilt, radiator new, leaf springs new, rear axle bearings replaced, the tires have about 4K miles on them. Carpets new, white top was replaced last year. Upholstry is original and in good condition as you can see in the pictures, no rips. Undercoated. There are other new parts not mentioned but this is some of them. When I had it painted I had them add clearcoat, and I think the argent Mach 1 laser stripes are a nice addition. THIS CAR IS SOLID. Thats why I bought it all those years ago. Whatever patching I did at the time was minor. I've had pleanty since then that looked nice on the surface but were crunchy with rust underneath. Thats what makes this Mustang a rarity today. ITS SOLID. The radio is a quality aftermarket Grundig AM/FM cassette. Ford finally issues recall for 230K minivans over rust problems
Sun, 10 Mar 2013The rust issue in the rear wheel wells of 2004-2007 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans has finally led to a recall. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began an investigation into the matter in 2011, said investigation being upgraded to an engineering analysis a year later while NHTSA tried to figure out how many model years should be included in the assessment.
Ford has decided to recall all of the 230,000 minivans potentially affected, namely those sold in salt-belt states and countries like Canada. The excess rust in the rear wheel wells was also able to prevent the third-row seats from locking to the floor of the minivan. To repair the problem, owners can take their minivans to dealers, and the dealers will place new panels in the wheel wells, replace the third-row seat mounting brackets and relocate the latches to an area away from any corrosion.
Ford says it will begin notifying owners during the last week of March.
Aussie Ford Falcon GT shows its rear end to Lamborghini Gallardo
Sun, 27 Apr 2014When Ford Australia announces, as it did recently, that it wants to celebrate the end of its Ford Performance Vehicle division with a Falcon FPV GT-F that celebrates big-bore origins of the nameplate, it's talking about the kind of car in this video.
At some point the classic Falcon GT - said to be an XY series - was invited to a test of acceleration against a Lamborghini Gallardo. At the very least, the Falcon GT had a 351 cubic-inch motor and 300 horsepower, but whatever this guy's got under the hood of his yellow sedan makes has him so confident that he doesn't even move his elbow from its resting place on the door.

Ford recalls Explorer, Flex, Taurus for parking brakes
Wed, Jul 22 2015Ford announced a recall of nearly 8,000 vehicles spread across a broad range of models for a faulty parking brake, which might not engage fully. The automaker has not received any reports of accidents or injuries resulting from the issue. The recall affects certain examples of the 2015-16 Ford Explorer, the 2015 Taurus, and the 2015 Flex. The 2015 Lincoln MKS and MKT are also included in the campaign. The vehicles in question were assembled at the company's Chicago and Oakville (Ontario) plants from May 4 to May 23. All told, 7,165 of the affected vehicles are estimated to be in the United States, with another 799 in Canada, and a solitary example in Mexico. In order to address the issue, owners are asked to bring the affected vehicles their local dealership, where technicians will inspect the vehicle and where necessary, replace the parking brake control assembly.
